Hong Kong variety show: Hung Hing, are you contributing to society?

Chapter 30 Saigon Doesn't Welcome Hung Hing Boys

The group, though not particularly large, was certainly not low-key either, arrived at the Saigon pier.

As Xiao Fu's intelligence indicated, the peak of the bustling activity at the docks had passed.

Most of the fishing boats that went out to sea have returned, and the freshest catch has already been snapped up and transported to various markets.

The air was filled with a strong smell of the sea and the salty freshness of fish and shrimp. The ground was a little slippery, with water stains and ice fragments remaining.

A few scattered fishmongers were packing up their stalls, preparing to close up shop.

Lin Yaodong's group of about ten people, all of them strong and fit young men, suddenly appeared at the dock, immediately attracting a lot of attention.

The fishmongers packing up their stalls and the scattered workers on the dock all stopped what they were doing and looked at the group of uninvited guests with curiosity, vigilance, and even a hint of indifference.

Their goal is obvious.

On a relatively open concrete area at the dock, a simple set of table and chairs was prominently displayed.

A tall, middle-aged man in a brown suit and thick gold chain sat there with an air of authority, a simple table of food and drinks in front of him.

He was a local bigwig in the Saigon "used car" business, known as "Big Fool".

Two burly henchmen with unfriendly expressions stood behind him.

Da Sha seemed to completely disregard the large group of people who had just arrived; his attention was entirely focused on the plate of fish in front of him.

He poked the fish in the plate with his chopsticks, and his cursing could be heard from a distance.

"Fuck your mother! Which bastard dares to try and fool me, Big Fool, with this 'stone gudgeon' disguised as a 'stone slab fish'?! Do they think I'm a fool?! If I find out which bastard offered this stinking fish, his boat won't be leaving Sai Kung Bay again tomorrow! Damn it!"

He vented his anger, spitting everywhere.

Seeing this, Pheasant took a deep breath, put on his usual roguish smile, and walked over first.

He needed to make a good impression on Lin Yaodong, and also to earn face for Chen Haonan and his side.

"Hey bro, you're in a good mood, eating fish so early in the morning, is it to nourish your body?"

The pheasant greeted us with a grin.

Big Fool then raised his eyelids, glanced at the pheasant with an unfriendly expression, and ignored his pleasantries.

Instead, he seemed displeased by Shanji's words, pointing at Shanji with his chopsticks and saying sarcastically, "I hate it when a lackey pretends to be the boss!"

Upon hearing this, Chen Haonan and the others' expressions immediately turned grim.

The pheasant's smile froze for a moment, but he quickly recovered. He remembered that his purpose in coming here was to get the car back, not to engage in verbal sparring.

He suppressed his anger, stepped aside to let Chan Ho-nam behind him pass, and formally introduced, "Brother Sha, this is my elder brother, Chan Ho-nam of Hung Hing!"

"Brother Silly." Chan Ho-nam stepped forward, trying to make his tone sound calm, and even extended his hand, wanting to shake hands in accordance with the rules of the underworld to show his sincerity.

However, Big Fool completely ignored Chan Ho-nam's outstretched hand, picked up the glass on the table, tilted his head back and gulped down a large mouthful of ice-cold beer, then wiped his mouth with his sleeve, his attitude extremely arrogant.

He then glanced sideways at Chan Ho-nam, sizing him up, his voice laced with undisguised sarcasm: "Oh—you're that Chan Ho-nam who's been all the rage lately?"

He emphasized the word "red" in his pronunciation, "I heard that last time you helped Brother B with something, you didn't do it well, and your boss almost got your whole family wiped out~~tsk tsk tsk."

"Hey! What did you say?!" Pheasant instantly flew into a rage, rolled up his sleeves, and was about to rush forward.

This is simply reopening their wounds!

Chan Ho-nam reacted quickly, stopping the impulsive Chicken and shaking his head to signal him to calm down.

Chen Haonan's chest heaved violently, clearly furious, but remembering that he was helping Lin Yaodong find a car, he forced himself to suppress his anger once again.

He tried to keep his voice steady, raising his hand to Lin Yaodong, who had been observing quietly from the side: "Silly brother, don't get so angry. This is my brother, Adong. We're not here for anything else, just to ask around for my brother. He lost a car, and we heard it might be with you... I absolutely have to get my brother's car back!"

These words were spoken neither humbly nor arrogantly, clearly indicating their attitude.

Lin Yaodong then took a small step forward, his face still bearing that harmless smile, and nodded politely, "Big Fool, hello."

His voice was gentle, which seemed out of place in the rugged atmosphere of the dock.

Only then did Da Sha take a proper look at Lin Yaodong.

The man was dressed in an elegant black suit, wearing gold-rimmed glasses. He had a handsome face and a refined demeanor, and was followed by two equally dressed and clearly formidable subordinates.

This demeanor and appearance inexplicably annoyed Da Sha.

Having spent many years in the underworld, what he hated most were these seemingly respectable gangsters, especially those who were much more handsome than him!

He snorted coldly, withdrew his gaze, and looked back at Chan Ho-nam, his tone even more impatient: "You come to me because your car is missing? What a joke! So many cars go missing every day throughout Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories, are you saying I, Big Fool, stole them all?"

He spread his hands dramatically, "This is ridiculous! Are you Hung Hing guys just looking for trouble?"

Chen Haonan's patience was nearing its limit, and the veins on his forehead throbbed slightly.

But he took a deep breath, thinking that he couldn't lose face in front of A-Dong.

"Hey bro, don't be angry. We just heard it, it's probably a misunderstanding. If one of the guys downstairs accidentally drove the wrong car, could you do us a favor? We'd be happy to pay for some tea, just to be friends, how about it?"

Hearing Chen Haonan's words, Big Fool perhaps thought that the other party had backed down, which made him even more arrogant. He waved his hand as if shooing away a fly:

"Drinking tea? What tea? I'm sure I didn't steal the car! If your car is missing, go report it to the police, go to the police station! What's the use of coming to me? Hurry up and get out of here, don't disturb my breakfast!"

"Bang!"

Chen Haonan finally lost his temper and slammed his fist on the table, making the cups and plates rattle.

"You big idiot! I'm only calling you 'Brother Idiot' out of respect! If I didn't, you'd be a fucking idiot!"

He completely abandoned all pretense of civility, his hands already on the edge of the table, ready to flip it over and resolve the issue in a江湖 (jianghu, a term referring to the world of martial arts and chivalry) manner.

Shanji, Da Tian Er, and the others immediately tensed up and prepared to take action.

Lin Yaodong glanced at Gao Jin seemingly casually, a fleeting, almost imperceptible hint of impatience flashing in his eyes. Gao Jin then made his move.

Just as Chan Ho-nam was about to exert his strength to overturn the situation, he was about to...

A black figure was faster than him.

It was Gao Jin standing beside Lin Yaodong.

Instead of flipping the table, he delivered a swift and powerful straight kick.

"Bang!!!"

A loud bang.

The entire table was kicked off the ground by a tremendous force, sending bowls, plates, wine glasses, and even the stone grouper that Shi Jiugong was impersonating flying into the air.

Big Fool, sitting directly across the table, didn't have time to react at all. He only felt a force strike his chest and cried out, "Ouch!"

He and the chair were kicked and rolled several meters backward before crashing heavily to the ground, clutching his chest and wincing in pain.
