Apocalypse: The White Moonlight Became a Possessive Mad Dog
Chapter 69: A brief moment of surprise
Su Han was briefly surprised when she heard the boy's words.
He guessed that so many people must have some tricks up their sleeves to survive in the apocalypse, but he didn't expect them to be so direct.
Cannibalism? Aren't you afraid of getting diseases?
The children talked about killing Su Han, but they didn't actually do it. After settling Su Han in, they left the room.
The room then returned to darkness.
Su Han heard a pig-like scream coming from under the floorboards. The voice sounded familiar; it belonged to the crew-cut guy's teammate.
He gasped, and after his body had mostly regained sensation, he stretched out two fingers and rubbed his cuff to retrieve the razor blade from the inner lining.
The blade was very thin, and it would take time to completely cut the rope. Su Han couldn't see what was behind her, and the blade pierced her fingers several times.
Blood oozed out, but he felt no pain and couldn't quite tell whether he had cut the rope or his finger.
【Be careful, there are already several cuts.】System 111 spoke up.
Since Shen Chengyin discovered it last time, the system has not spoken for a long time.
Normally, the system would say good morning in my head every time I woke up, but these past few days it hasn't dared to utter a single word.
Su Han pursed her lips and rubbed the rope behind her with even more force.
[Left...right! Oops, that's too far! Can't you tell left from right?!]
The system was giving instructions while muttering to itself.
The screams from downstairs grew louder and louder, but soon faded away as the screams died down. Su Han finally cut the rope, dusted herself off, and stood up.
He groped along the wall, found the door, pushed it hard, and then pulled it sharply. The door wasn't locked, but Su Han stepped out and landed on the water.
The sound of the water surging was particularly noticeable.
The floor outside the room was covered in a thin layer of water, just enough to cover the ankles. But the boots were insulated, and Su Han didn't believe that the child with the lightning-type ability could control the kidnapped person using that.
He quickly realized something was wrong.
The room has only one exit, a narrow passage that only reaches waist height for a normal person, like a dog hole.
To get out, you have to use both your hands and feet to crawl a distance. Your hands will definitely get wet by then.
Su Han searched her body for a long time but couldn't find any other insulating material, so she had to give up.
At least here he can move freely, and even if those kids come, they can't do anything to him.
After waiting for about ten minutes, there was a noise at the door, and then a boy of about six or seven years old crawled out of the dog hole.
Seeing that Su Han was not tied up, he immediately became alert and turned to run away.
Su Han grabbed his collar and lifted him up.
The room was dimly lit, and Su Han couldn't see the boy's face clearly. She only knew that the tiny child was struggling fiercely in her hands.
"Don't move, I won't kill you." Su Han wouldn't risk harming such a young child. "Was anyone outside when you came in? Tell me the truth and I'll let you out."
The boy's face was fierce. "You dead pig! You dare talk to me? Get lost!"
Su Han was stunned for a moment when she didn't expect a child of only six or seven years old to say such filthy words. Then, without hesitation, she bent down and pushed the boy into the water.
Although the water wasn't deep, I always choked a couple of times when my mouth and nose were completely submerged.
The boy choked on some water and burst into tears. Su Han then lifted him up again. "Can you speak properly now?"
"I'm not telling, what can you do to me?! You dead pig!"
The boy tried to scratch Su Han's arm, but Su Han was wearing long-sleeved clothes with thick fabric.
He then turned to slap Su Han's face, and after a struggle, the slap barely grazed the tip of Su Han's nose.
What can we do? We'll just keep filling it up.
Su Han pushed the boy back into the water.
This time it took longer than last time. Su Han only lifted the boy out when she saw that he was struggling and had little strength left, and then slapped him across the face.
With a slap, the boy's face swelled up.
"Will you tell or not?"
He choked on several mouthfuls of water and almost suffocated. The boy was terrified after being beaten; he didn't even have the strength to struggle, coughing desperately and crying until tears and snot streamed down his face.
"I'll talk, I'll talk, okay? There's no one outside, there's no one outside! Waaah..."
The boy coughed and screamed, and Su Han let go of his hand, causing him to fall into the water, his bottom hurting badly.
"Okay, I understand. You can go now."
The little boy was sitting on the ground crying and coughing. When he heard Su Han's words, he turned around and scrambled out of the dog hole.
Su Han slowed her movements and followed the boy silently. The boy was only focused on escaping and crawled away quickly, completely unaware that someone was following him.
He was betting that the people outside wouldn't discharge electricity while the boy was inside the passage.
The boy climbed out of the room, shook off the water, and shouted at the person sitting on the stool in front of him:
"Bro! Quick, use electricity! Electrocute him! He dares to mess with me, I'll make sure he's dead!"
The person sitting on the stool was the ten-year-old boy that Su Han and her group had met at the beginning. He was thin and a beginner-level lightning-type ability user.
As soon as Su Han climbed out, he immediately reacted by putting his hand into the water.
Having learned her lesson once, Su Han naturally wouldn't let him have his way. She kicked the boy hard, sending him flying off the stool.
The force of the kick was so great that the boy couldn't catch his breath and fainted from the pain.
The six- or seven-year-old boy was so frightened when he saw Su Han follow him out that he tensed up and stammered, "Damn! Why did you come out?!"
"Come out and I'll take you down." Su Han kicked the boy in the shoulder, then stomped on him, her boots creaking as she pressed him down. "Who taught you to lie?"
The boy screamed in pain, crying and screaming, but couldn't get any answers. Su Han, annoyed by the ear pain, chopped the boy unconscious with a single chop and left the room.
Once I stepped outside, all my ears were finally at peace.
He looked around; the basement was simply a cellar dug into the ground, completely dark. Based on the noise he had just heard, the cellar should have two levels.
The others are on the floor below.
Su Han found a ladder nearby and climbed down it. She quickly reached the next level, and after getting her bearings, she arrived at a simple iron door.
The door was unlocked, or rather, it wasn't locked at all.
Su Han pushed open the door and entered, and the scene before him made him gasp.
A person was lying on a wooden table; it was Jin Ting, whose mouth was gagged.
Beside Jin Ting was a gaunt man holding a knife. He had already undressed Jin Ting and used the knife to make a deep, long cut in front of her.
From the chin to the navel.
Once the wound is torn open, along with the skin and flesh, the entire chest and internal organs will be exposed, like taking off a human skin garment.
The table was filled with all sorts of basins, some nearly full of human blood.
Jin Ting trembled with pain, but she was still conscious and had not lost her mind.
The knife in Su Han's hand was nowhere to be found, but his skills remained. He rushed forward and knocked the man down in two moves, snatching the knife from his hand.
"Are you alright?" Su Han removed the object from Jin Ting's mouth and untied her.
Jin Ting was in so much pain that she had no strength left. She gritted her teeth and whispered that she was fine. With each breath, her wounds on her body reopened, and the pain went deep into her bones.
"There..." Jin Ting raised her hand tremblingly, pointing to a corner in the shadows.
Su Han picked up the candle and walked over. Leaning against the wall was her teammate with the buzz cut, the fire-type ability user who had argued with Su Han.
He seemed to have been dealt with, and even more dramatically, he was covered in blood, with a huge gash on his neck from which the dripping blood had turned dark black and was thick and stretched downwards.
His clothes were also removed, and his upper body had the same wounds as Jin Ting's.
Su Han suddenly remembered the bloodletting that the children had mentioned.
Just like bleeding and plucking a chicken before killing it.
