The divorce comeback system arrived right after I was born.

Chapter 10 The First Little Genius at Sunflower Kindergarten

The afternoon sun became quite harsh, lazily shining through the gaps in the blue curtains onto the wooden floor.

The air was filled with the warm scent of talcum powder and the breath of dozens of young children.

Chen Zhi buried his face in his arms, trying to block out the suffocating heat.

For an adult with the soul of a twenty-something, being forced to sleep on a hard wooden bed during the energetic childhood is nothing short of torture.

I finally made it to the alarm clock.

Chen Zhi immediately sat up, folded the small blanket with SpongeBob SquarePants printed on it into a neat square, and stuffed it into the closet.

If he doesn't hurry, the teacher will come over to help him, pinch his cheek, and praise him as "good boy/girl".

He never wanted to experience being treated like a pet again in his life.

The classroom was in complete chaos.

Some people couldn't find their shoes, some wore their pants inside out, and some had a fit of morning grumpiness and sat on the bed howling.

Avoiding the source of the chaos, Chen Zhi walked alone to the reading area in the corner, randomly picked up a picture book, and covered his face with it.

As long as I don't move.

No one will be able to find me.

Suddenly, a noisy argument broke out outside the classroom, so loud that it even drowned out the crying and commotion inside.

"You're lying! You're a liar!"

"Hehe, you little preschool kid, always bragging without thinking!"

Immediately following was a familiar, piercing wail.

"Whoa—! Big brother! Help!"

Chen Zhi's eyelids twitched.

It's Li Zihan.

He pressed the picture book down, pretending he was deaf.

I didn't hear it.

I definitely didn't hear it.

Boom boom boom!

A series of hurried footsteps approached from afar, causing the floor to shake.

"Zhizhi! Wake up!"

A warm little hand suddenly lifted the picture book off Chen Zhi's face.

Lin Wanwan's magnified face appeared above, her cheeks flushed red from running, like a ripe apple.

With her hands on her hips and her chest heaving, she shouted indignantly, "Someone's bullying people from our class! And they even called you an idiot!"

Chen Zhi looked at her expressionlessly, then turned over and faced away from her.

"Let him speak."

"No way!" Lin Wanwan grabbed Chen Zhi's arm and pulled him outside with all her might. "Li Zihan got into a fight with the older kids outside, saying you're a genius, and they said he was bragging and they're going to throw him in the trash!"

Chen Zhi remained completely still.

"That trash can is new and very clean."

Seeing that she couldn't pull him, Lin Wanwan stomped her feet in frustration, causing her two little braids to tremble.

"Oh dear! That chubby kid from the senior class said that the younger kids are still babies drinking milk, and they can't even do one plus one for ages! He also said..."

Lin Wanwan paused for a moment and secretly glanced at Chen Zhi's expression.

"What did you say?" Chen Zhi asked, his eyes still closed.

He said, "What's so great about being able to recite multiplication tables? Your parents must have forced you to memorize them. You don't even know what those words mean!"

Chen Zhi opened his eyes.

He slowly sat up and straightened his slightly disheveled collar.

Although he didn't want to argue with a bunch of kids.

But since others have come knocking on our door to provoke us, it would seem cowardly not to go.

Moreover, if Li Zihan, that big mouth, is allowed to spread rumors outside, he can forget about having a peaceful day at this kindergarten from now on.

The problem must be resolved once and for all.

"Lead the way," Chen Zhi coldly uttered.

Lin Wanwan's eyes lit up, and she immediately strode ahead like a victorious little general.

A crowd of people had gathered in the corridor.

Most of the people were children watching the spectacle, and a few teachers who were passing by were standing not far away, watching the group of little brats arguing with great interest.

In the center of the crowd.

Li Zihan was sitting on the ground, tears streaming down her face, pointing at several tall boys in front of her and making accusations.

"My older brother is really amazing! I won't allow you to say anything bad about him!"

Standing opposite him were three boys wearing kindergarten uniforms.

The leader was a burly-looking guy, a whole head taller than Li Zihan, holding a Transformer toy in his hand, and looking disdainful.

This is Zhao Xiaolong, the tyrant of the big class.

"Alright, little fatty." Zhao Hu looked down at Li Zihan, waving the toy in his hand. "You kids in the toddler class were just learning how to wipe your bottoms, right? We in the senior class have already started learning addition and subtraction. This is real knowledge."

The surrounding students burst into laughter.

Li Zihan's face flushed red. She wanted to retort, but couldn't find the words. She could only sob in frustration.

"Get out of the way! Get out of the way!"

Lin Wanwan pushed through the crowd and rushed in like a little tiger protecting its cubs, blocking Li Zihan's way.

"Zhao Hu! What right do you have to bully people like this!"

When Zhao Hu saw Lin Wanwan, he toned down his arrogant demeanor slightly.

After all, Lin Wanwan is cute and became very popular in the kindergarten as soon as she entered the school. Even the senior class has many of her "fans".

"I didn't bully him, he's just bragging." Zhao Xiaolong curled his lip. "He said that guy named Chen Zhi is smarter than everyone in our class. Isn't that ridiculous?"

"I'm smarter than you!" Lin Wanwan retorted loudly, hands on her hips.

"Then tell him to come out," Zhao Xiaolong said defiantly, raising his chin. "Coward."

The crowd automatically parted to form a path.

Chen Zhi strolled in slowly.

He didn't even glance at Zhao Xiaolong, but walked straight to Li Zihan and kicked his butt with one foot.

"stand up."

When Li Zihan saw her savior arrive, she immediately stopped crying, scrambled to her feet, hid behind Chen Zhi, and peeked out to intimidate him.

"Big brother, it's him! He called you a bragging idiot!"

Chen Zhi sighed.

He raised his head, and his gaze finally fell on Zhao Xiaolong.

The six-year-old boy was in the process of losing his baby teeth. He was missing a front tooth and spoke with a slight lisp, but this did not affect his arrogant and self-important attitude.

"You're Chen Zhi?" Zhao Xiaolong sized up the little guy who was much shorter than him. "I heard you can recite multiplication tables?"

Chen Zhi didn't speak, but just looked at him quietly.

That calm gaze made Zhao Hu feel inexplicably uncomfortable.

It felt like being watched by a strict father at home.

Zhao Hu shook his head, trying to shake off this absurd feeling.

"Anyone can recite poems. I could recite Tang poems when I was three," Zhao Xiaolong scoffed. "If you're so capable, let's have an arithmetic contest!"

The children around gasped in surprise.

Is a senior class trying to outdo a junior class in arithmetic?

This is simply a case of overwhelming force.

Lin Wanwan was anxious and was about to speak up for him, but Chen Zhi stopped her with his hand.

"Compare what?" Chen Zhi asked casually.

The sound wasn't loud, but it clearly reached the ears of everyone present.

Zhao Xiaolong was stunned for a moment, not expecting this kid to actually accept the challenge.

His eyes lit up, and he decided to teach this arrogant brat a lesson.

"Listen up!" Zhao Xiaolong cleared his throat and said loudly, "What does five plus five equal?"

Silence fell over the surroundings.

Chen Zhi: "..."
