"Brother Qin, shall I come in with you?"

Han Chongli brought Qin Ge to the gate of the Han family ancestral home, feeling somewhat apprehensive.

He was haunted by what happened that night, and by the entire Han family ancestral home!

Those things were just too bizarre for him to understand; it was an instinctive fear of the unknown.

"It's not really necessary, but aren't you curious and want to see for yourself what's going on?"

Qin Ge stepped into the Han family ancestral home, and Han Chongli hesitated for a moment before following her.

"Brother Qin, shouldn't we prepare anything?"

"Like peach wood swords, pomelo leaves, donkey hooves, and black dogs?"

Before the incident, Han Chongli often lived in the ancestral home and didn't think anything of it.

I don't know if it's just my imagination, but I always feel that this ancestral home is eerie and gives me the chills.

"No need, I don't know how to use those."

Qin Ge continued walking, and Han Chongli paused for a moment before quickly following.

What did he just say? That he couldn't?

What about the two talismans Shen Tingzhi gave us? Weren't they drawn by Qin Ge?

The Han family ancestral home faces south, with courtyards arranged in a progressive manner, five courtyards in total, just as Han Chongli said, it is indeed a feng shui treasure land.

"Sir, you've arrived."

Qin Ge and Han Chongli arrived at the main hall, where an elderly man greeted them. He was slightly hunched over and had a respectful demeanor.

"Brother Qin, this is Butler Ding. He's been with our family for many years."

Han Chongli gave a brief introduction, "Butler Ding, this is Brother Qin. I invited him to take a look at the Han family's ancestral home."

"Was anything unusual that happened here last night?"

After the incident that night, the entire Han family moved out, leaving only Butler Ding and a few servants to guard the place.

"Hello, Mr. Qin." Butler Ding's gaze swept quickly over Qin Ge, a hint of surprise flashing across his face.

"Sir, nothing unusual happened last night."

Qin Ge nodded slightly, glanced at Butler Ding, and then tilted her head towards Han Chongli, "Take me to see where Old Master Han lives!"

Soon, the group arrived at the courtyard where Han Qianyun lived. Qin Ge looked around, not even missing the flowers and plants, but found nothing unusual.

"Strange..." Qin Ge lowered his head and pondered. According to his thinking, if the Han family was really harmed by Kumanthong like Hong Zhendong, then that thing should be around Han Qianyun.

How could it not be there?

"Brother Qin, have you found anything?" Han Chongli asked anxiously. He believed there must be something strange about the Han family's ancestral home, but he began to wonder if Qin Ge was too young and hadn't mastered his skills yet.

Qin Ge looked around for a while, then pointed in a direction, "What's that over there?"

Han Chongli looked in the direction Qin Ge was pointing and said, "That's the west side of the backyard, where the Han family ancestral hall is located."

Han Chongli led Qin Ge to the ancestral hall in the backyard, feeling uneasy the whole way. Could it be related to the Han family ancestors?

How can ancestors bring misfortune upon their descendants?

But if that's the case, how should we handle it?

Even if Han Chongli were incredibly bold, he wouldn't dare to mess with his ancestors!

Qin Ge didn't rush into the ancestral hall, but instead looked around the small courtyard in front of it.

Upon seeing this, Han Chongli explained, "My father had a habit of coming to the ancestral hall to offer incense every morning whenever he lived in the ancestral home."

"He also requires us younger generations to do the same."

"This little courtyard has great sunlight. After offering incense, my father likes to linger in this courtyard, practice Tai Chi, and stretch his muscles and bones."

"My father also likes to come here at other times."

He pointed to a pavilion in the corner, "My father liked to enjoy tea and practice calligraphy in that pavilion."

Qin Ge looked up and then walked towards the pavilion, where he paced back and forth to examine it.

He touched every pillar, railing, table, and chair, and even stepped on the floor to tap several places.

"Brother Qin, is there something strange about this pavilion?"

Han Chongli had been quietly observing Qin Ge's actions until he couldn't help but ask a question.

He had already had the Han family's ancestral home searched inside and out, but found nothing.

He also invited several groups of Taoist priests, but they all came up empty-handed.

"Nothing much found, just taking a look around." As Qin Ge spoke, he glanced at Butler Ding, seemingly unintentionally.

"Sir," Butler Ding stepped forward, "Now that you've come here, you should first go to the ancestral hall to offer incense."

"Otherwise, the old man will be unhappy if he finds out."

"That's true." Han Chongli glanced at the tightly closed ancestral hall door, then at Qin Ge. "Brother Qin, then I..."

"Go ahead!" Qin Ge sat down by the railing in the pavilion. "I'll wait for you here."

Steward Ding accompanied Han Chongli to the ancestral hall, glancing back at Qin Ge halfway there.

"Brother Qin, shall we go and take a look at other places?" When Han Chongli finished offering incense and came out, Qin Ge was still sitting in the pavilion.

Qin Ge looked up at Han Chongli, but glanced at Butler Ding out of the corner of her eye. "Let's go, let's go see other places."

He got up and walked out of the pavilion, but suddenly stopped and turned back, running his palm over the six pillars of the pavilion and patting them a few times.

Han Chongli was completely bewildered. "Brother Qin, is there something wrong with these pillars?"

"No problem, I misread it!" Qin Ge said, his gaze fixed on Butler Ding.

Let's go!

However, Qin Ge had only taken a few steps out of the pavilion when she suddenly turned back, leaving Han Chongli completely bewildered.

Qin Ge gently patted one of the pillars of the pavilion. "Mr. Han, how long ago was this pavilion built? Has it been repaired?"

"I don't know. This pavilion has been here as long as I can remember. As for repairs..." Han Chongli subconsciously looked at Butler Ding.

"It has never been repaired," Butler Ding answered almost instinctively.

"Really?" Qin Ge walked to another pillar and patted it a few times as well. "This pavilion looks quite old, but it's well-built."

He noticed that Butler Ding seemed to subtly breathe a sigh of relief, then suddenly walked back to the original pillar. "Butler Ding, are you sure you've never repaired it?"

"For example, a pillar?"

A smile appeared on his lips. "Mr. Han, why don't you call and ask Mr. Han? He should know more about it."

"No need to ask!" Butler Ding blurted out again, "I've been following Mr. Han for many years. I was with him even before you were born."

"I was in charge of taking care of this place when the old gentleman wasn't living here, so I know best whether the pavilion has been repaired or not."

Qin Ge narrowed her eyes slightly. "Then how do we know if you're lying?"

He patted the pillar beside him again. "Butler Ding, I've been keeping an eye on you!"

"Every time I approach this pillar, you show a subtle hint of tension, and every time you move away, you secretly breathe a sigh of relief. I wasn't wrong about you, was I?"

"If I'm not mistaken, this pillar has definitely been tampered with; there's something incredible hidden inside!"
