Chapter 5, Transformation

Zhen Yuanzi was even angrier when he saw the annoying cloud drifting down again. But his roots were in the soil, and he couldn't move an inch. He could only shake his trunk and branches to express his dissatisfaction.

Seeing that Zhen Yuanzi's true form trembled wildly as soon as Hongyun landed, it seemed he had had enough of being alone and was quite welcoming of her arrival. Hongyun quickly grabbed a tree branch and rubbed against the cloud, expressing her affection for him.

Many leaves fell instantly from the fruit tree that hadn't yet blossomed, and the branch that had been connected to the clouds also retracted.

The clouds drew closer, but I couldn't guess why. I just assumed it was because of the weather; leaves fall in autumn.

After an unknown amount of time, Hongyun suddenly felt a surge of spiritual energy within her body and quickly began to cultivate. Once she broke through her internal bottleneck, Hongyun slowly descended, the red clouds gradually disappearing, and what appeared on the mountain was a charming young man in a long red robe.

Hongyun excitedly looked at her hands and clothes. She had finally taken human form and could finally speak.

He strode over to the ginseng fruit tree that hadn't yet blossomed, and patted the trunk: "When will you be able to transform into human form?"

However, Hongyun's words received no response. Or rather, she had no interest in expecting a response.

Just as Hongyun was speaking, a mechanical voice appeared in her mind.

"Ding! Congratulations, host, you have successfully transformed. Would you like to bind to this system?"

"Ding! Congratulations, host, on successfully binding to this system. The full name of this system is 'Supreme Dao of Immorality System.' The host will treat those who are immoral with even greater immorality, helping them to repent and reform."

Hongyun blinked: "When did I say we were bound together?"

It's common for systems to appear in time-travel novels, but most systems are for cultivating immortality or for beauty purposes. How come his system is a wicked one?

How can a model young man who earns two months' salary but feeds his cats and dogs and lost his life saving a child while crossing the street be allowed to commit such immoral acts?

"Ding! The host's objection is invalid. Please do not be ungrateful!"

By binding to this system and completing the "Moral Inequality Index," you'll accumulate points by gaining resentment from others. These points can be redeemed for all sorts of goods; if the host can imagine it, the system can make it happen.

The mechanical voice in Hongyun's mind spoke in a cold tone with an extremely arrogant attitude, giving Hongyun the feeling that although I call you host, you have to listen to me.

He sneered disdainfully, "I'm a host, after all. Do you think you can bully me?"

Based on what just happened, Hongyun knew that the system could hear her thoughts, so she said directly in her mind:

"Why don't you find someone else to bind to? I'm a model citizen—honest, reasonable, helpful, and forgiving. It wouldn't be right for you to make me do something immoral!"

"So you were neglected by your parents, did the work of several people while in school, your colleagues left at 5 pm while you left at 9 pm, your peers dated and got married while you were getting neutered and cared for stray cats and dogs, and died a violent death on the street at the age of thirty because of your kind heart."

Hongyun's face turned ashen, and she cursed inwardly: "You're a system, how can you be so sarcastic? How could you utter such bestial words with that sub-zero temperature mouth!"

The system didn't reply, and Hongyun remained displeased. Suffering a little loss while alive was one thing, but he died saving someone, and the child's family was so ungrateful?

And what about Mom and Dad...didn't they care either?

"Ding! A question has been detected in the host's mind. This will be answered for free, but only once."
