A short while later, the afterimage returned with more than a dozen furry little animals. Mostly rabbits, foxes, and squirrels, but also pheasants and…?

"Is that a panda?" Hongyun stared wide-eyed at the small animal curled up on the ground in disbelief.

A fluffy white cat with striking black eye circles, short limbs and a tail, curled up like a cotton ball, looking utterly adorable. Isn't this the national treasure of later generations? This one is clearly still a cub; it's unclear whether it was born that way or if its parents are still alive.

Hongyun bent down and picked up the panda: "Let me give you a name. How about we call you Shuangpin, Black and White Shuangpin?"

"What is a panda? Isn't that an iron-eating beast?" Tongtian looked at Hongyun with disdain. It was supposed to be a cute little creature, so why was it given such a name?

His upbringing prevented him from expressing any dislike for the name, after all, these fluffy creatures were brought back by Hongyun.

Hongyun chuckled sheepishly. Of course he knew it was an iron-eating beast, but the panda from later generations was so famous that even though he knew the panda's original name, nobody called it that. This was the first time he'd seen an iron-eating beast since transmigrating, and in his excitement, he'd forgotten to change it.

"So it's an iron-eating beast. I just called it that because it looks like a bear and a cat at the same time."

Tongtian carefully examined the iron-eating beast in Hongyun's arms and couldn't see how it resembled both a bear and a cat.

"Fellow Daoist Hongyun, do you wish to enlighten this iron-eating beast?" Tongtian also picked up a fox, rubbing its tail as he spoke.

Watching Tongtian's actions, Hongyun inexplicably recalled a novel she had read in her later life, which said that a fox's tail was very sensitive and should not be touched. The one in Tongtian's arms... must be female.

"I was planning to enlighten one or two young disciples to keep Mingyue and Qingfeng company, but the original form of this Iron-Eating Beast is too cute and cuddly, and I am a little reluctant to let it transform." Hongyun was a little embarrassed. After all, he was such a grown-up, and it would be quite shameful to not enlighten someone just to pet them.

Tongtian thought Hongyun made a lot of sense. Demons are cute because they are soft and fluffy before they transform. After they transform, they become more cunning, and you can't see their fur anymore, so they are not as fun.

"Why not enlighten these animals?" Seeing a few fluffy creatures still on the ground, Tongtian had an idea.

Hongyun agreed, and used her magic to transform the two rabbits.

Two boys, around eight or nine years old, stood together with slightly red eyes, looking cautiously at Hongyun, which softened Hongyun's heart.

"From now on, you two will be called Chishu and Yinmo. Cultivate diligently at Wuzhuang Temple and tend to the Enlightenment Tea Tree and the Black Jade Plum Blossom!" Hongyun placed a restriction on the two of them with a hand seal and gave the instructions.

"Thank you for your guidance, Immortal Master." The two children were adorable and delicate, and their bowing gestures were even more charming than those of Qingfeng and Mingyue, who were both rather simple-minded.

"Gentle breeze and bright moon!" Hongyun called out again.

Seeing no one respond, Hongyun raised her voice again: "Clear breeze and bright moon!"

"Greetings, greetings to Master Hongyun!" Mingyue hurried over alone, panting as she bowed to Hongyun.

With Tongtian present, Hongyun was unwilling to reprimand them, as if the disciples of Wuzhuang Temple were full of mistakes. He simply glanced at him and handed Chishu and Yinmo over to him: "Take them to a room to stay in, and then leave the Moyu Hanmei and Wudao Tea Tree to them to take care of."

"Yes," Mingyue replied and quickly left with Chishu and Yinmo.
