Unlimited Black Cards! A Mysterious and Wealthy Young Lady!

Chapter 122 Victory in the Fighting Arena !

Ali was so dizzy from the beating that he struggled to push Xiao Jie away, but Xiao Jie held him down firmly.

Xiao Jie's face was covered in sweat and blood, but his eyes shone with an astonishing light—a flame burning in desperation, a resolute gamble.

Just as he was about to collapse from exhaustion, the referee rushed over and pulled him away. "Stop! The match is over!"

Xiao Jie staggered to his feet, his muscles trembling all over, his back, cheeks, fists—everywhere he felt pain.

He watched as the referee raised his arm high and listened to the gasps and uproar from below the stage, and for a moment he was in a daze.

He won?

Did he really win?

Overwhelmed by immense joy, he was immediately followed by extreme exhaustion. His legs gave way, and he nearly fell again, but fortunately, he was caught by the staff next to him.

Ali lay on the ring, blood trickling from his mouth, his consciousness fading. The spectators murmured amongst themselves, their initial disdain turning to shock as they looked at Xiao Jie.

Xiao Jie raised his head, his gaze passing through the crowd to Jiang Wenxi by the ring.

His face was bruised, but the corners of his mouth were slightly upturned, and his eyes were full of relief at surviving the ordeal, as well as a hint of pleading.

Jiang Wenxi met his gaze, her fingertips casually tracing the edge of the tablet, her voice flat and emotionless: "Your reward for this round is 500,000."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Jie showed no joy whatsoever.

While 500,000 yuan could solve the immediate crisis, what my mother urgently needs is an authoritative doctor who can turn the tide, and top-tier resources that ordinary money cannot buy.

He clutched the black cloth bag containing money, his knuckles turning white from the force, the edges of the bag damp with sweat, but none of this compared to the burning anxiety in his heart.

Since Jiang Wenxi didn't speak, Manager Zhao naturally didn't dare to take him to treat his wounds on his own.

Clutching 500,000 yuan in cash, covered in dried blood and sweat, his wounds throbbing from the friction of the fabric, Xiao Jie followed closely behind Jiang Wenxi out of the Elegant Residence.

"That's enough for today." Jiang Wenxi stopped, her tone devoid of emotion.

Seeing this, Fu Siya and the others knew that she had other important matters to attend to, so they nodded and said goodbye: "Okay, Wenxi, let's meet again later."

Jiang Wenxi nodded slightly and turned to walk towards the black sedan not far away.

Xiao Jie followed closely behind, like a tenacious weed shivering in the wind and rain, his gaze always fixed on her back.

Xiao Jie only stopped when Jiang Wenxi bent down and sat in the back seat. He stood by the car, looking disheveled but with earnest eyes, staring intently at the person inside, as if she were his only lifeline.

"Get in the car." Jiang Wenxi's voice came from inside the car, concise and unquestionable.

Xiao Jie looked down at his blood-stained clothes, his fingertips unconsciously rubbing his trouser leg, a moment of hesitation crossing his face—this filthy state would probably soil her spotless car.

But he had no right to refuse, so he gritted his teeth, opened the back door, and carefully sat down, clutching the bag of money tightly to his chest, keeping his body ramrod straight and trying to keep his distance from Jiang Wenxi.

The vehicle drove smoothly, and the interior was filled with a faint scent of cedar, which clashed with the blood and sweat smell on Xiao Jie.

He carried 500,000 yuan in cash, but his heart was in his throat, as uneasy as if he were holding a rabbit that was running around wildly.

He didn't know where Jiang Wenxi would take him, nor did he know what kind of "equivalent exchange" awaited him next.

As the car entered a quiet villa area, the ornate iron gate slowly opened, revealing a grand mansion with a deep courtyard. Xiao Jie's heart sank even further, and he became so nervous that he even held his breath.

The car came to a stop, and the servants were already waiting at the door. As soon as he stepped into the villa, a nanny dressed in a neat uniform came forward and respectfully said to Xiao Jie, "Sir, this way please. We have prepared a place for you to wash up and some medicine for your injuries."

Xiao Jie was stunned for a moment, then subconsciously looked at Jiang Wenxi. Seeing that she did not object, he followed the nanny to the guest room on the second floor.

The warm water washed away the filth and fatigue from his body. The stinging pain from the water on his wounds cleared his muddled mind.

After washing up, he changed into the clean clothes prepared by the nanny. He had also applied medicine to his wounds and walked downstairs somewhat helplessly.

The living room was softly lit. Jiang Wenxi leaned against the sofa, wearing a moon-white silk nightgown. Her long hair was loosely tied up, revealing her slender, fair neck.

She held a tablet in her hands, her fingertips occasionally sliding across it. Her expression was languid yet still carried a distant and aloof air, as if the life-or-death struggle she had just witnessed in the arena was nothing more than an insignificant pastime.

Xiao Jie stood in the center of the living room, clutching the wound medicine helplessly, not daring to step forward rashly.

"Do you know why I let you go on stage today?" Jiang Wenxi asked without looking up, her voice coming through the dim light of the tablet, as calm as if she were talking about the weather.

Xiao Jie pursed his lips and answered truthfully, "I don't know."

"No one in this world will help you for no reason."

Jiang Wenxi finally raised her eyes, her gaze falling on him with scrutiny and indifference, "If you want to get something, you have to give something of corresponding value in return."

She paused, her fingertips lightly tapping the edge of the tablet, her tone carrying an undeniable force: "It's obvious that making me happy is your only value right now."

Xiao Jie was shocked, his face drained of color, and he finally understood.

Jiang Wenxi's help was never charity, but a transaction with a price tag—his desperate fight in the ring, his disheveled state and his resolute determination pleased her, which in turn saved his mother's life.

He had no complaints whatsoever, only a feeling that a huge weight had finally been lifted from his heart, and even the pain in his body had lessened somewhat.

"I have a VIP membership at a private hospital, where the top medical team and equipment are located."

Jiang Wenxi withdrew her gaze, looked back at the tablet, and her tone returned to its previous calmness.

"I've already asked Jiang Yan to handle your mother's transfer to another hospital. You can come with me first thing tomorrow morning."

"Thank you, Miss Jiang!" Xiao Jie looked up abruptly, his eyes instantly reddening, his voice choked with uncontrollable sobs.

The heavy burden that had been weighing on his heart for days was suddenly lifted. Overjoyed and grateful, he could barely speak a complete sentence. He could only bow deeply.

"I, Xiao Jie, will never forget your immense kindness in my lifetime. In the future, if you ever need me, I will go through fire and water without hesitation!"

Jiang Wenxi glanced at him, a faint smile curving her lips, fleeting as she spoke, her tone still indifferent: "No need for thanks, it's just a mutually beneficial arrangement."

Jiang Wenxi was referring to the hospital that the system had previously rewarded her with. Since obtaining the VIP membership to that hospital, she had never actually been there.

I can go check it out tomorrow.
