He quickened his pace to catch up with Jiang Wenxi, his voice brimming with barely concealed excitement: "Wenxi, you're amazing! Not only did you help me win back eight million, but you also secured Qiao Jie's club's shares. This is simply... simply incredible!"

Fu Siya and Jiang Xunye followed closely behind. Fu Siya's face still showed the relief of surviving a disaster, and her gaze towards Jiang Wenxi was more affectionate: "Wenxi, when Qiao Jie made his desperate gamble just now, I was worried for you. I didn't expect you to have seen through his trick so early on."

Jiang Wenxi didn't stop walking, her fingertips lightly brushing away the dust on her sleeve, her tone indifferent: "His methods are not worth mentioning." As she spoke, the group had already left the card room and arrived at the club's lobby. Warm yellow crystal chandeliers shone on the polished marble floor, reflecting their figures.

Jiang Wenxi couldn't help but ask curiously, "Ma Yun, is this place just a boxing ring, a casino, and a card room?"

"No." Ma Yun shook his head, his gaze sweeping over the several closed doors deep in the lobby. "The other areas will open on other days."

"Oh." Jiang Wenxi nodded subconsciously but didn't ask any more questions.

Jiang Wenxi looked up at the gradually darkening twilight outside the window, the sky tinged with a faint orange-red. She nodded slightly, her voice tinged with weariness: "Alright, that's enough for today. I'm going back now."

"No!" Ma Yun quickly stepped forward, blocking her path, his face full of pleading. "Wenxi, I haven't properly thanked you yet for helping me win that money back! You can't just leave like this."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Wenxi paused slightly, turned to look at him, and a faint smile appeared on her lips: "No need to be so polite. Just treat me to a meal sometime. Besides, aren't we friends?"

"friend!"

These two words were like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, instantly creating ripples in the hearts of Ma Yun, Fu Siya, and the others. They were all stunned, their faces showing surprise in unison. Ma Yun stared blankly at Jiang Wenxi, her eyes filled with disbelief. These people were born into the top echelons of society, their status seemingly illustrious, yet they were also bound by that status, surrounded by nothing but entanglements of interests and flattery. So-called "friends" had always been a luxury, even a pipe dream. They had never imagined that Jiang Wenxi would actually take the initiative to consider them friends.

Fu Siya's eyes reddened slightly. She pursed her lips, her originally pretty face showing a hint of emotion, and her gaze towards Jiang Wenxi was full of genuine warmth. Jiang Xunye stood to the side, a subtle fluctuation also flashing in his usually cold eyes, and his gaze towards Jiang Wenxi softened slightly.

Seeing the moved expressions on their faces, Jiang Wenxi said nothing more and didn't linger. She nodded slightly as a farewell, then turned and walked towards the club's exit. Outside, a Bugatti was already waiting. Jiang Nan, with the window down, saw Jiang Wenxi emerge, immediately got out, and respectfully opened the back door for her: "Miss."

Jiang Wenxi bent down and got into the car. Jiang Nan gently closed the door, blocking the view of the people behind them. The Bentley slowly started and smoothly drove away from the clubhouse entrance, heading towards No. 1 Tan Palace.

Ma Yun, Fu Siya, and Jiang Xunye stood there, watching the car drive away, silent for a long time. Only after the car had completely disappeared from sight did Ma Yun clench her fist tightly and say firmly, "From now on, Wenxi is my best friend! Anyone who dares to touch her is going against me!"

The group exchanged glances. The word "friend" was like a warm current, breaking down the cold barriers of self-interest within their circle and creating a bond between them and Jiang Wenxi that went far beyond self-interest.

The following morning, sunlight streamed through the car window, illuminating Jiang Wenxi's profile and casting a pale golden glow on her eyelashes. The Bugatti cruised smoothly along the asphalt road leading to the Magic University, the shadows of the camphor trees lining the road rushing past.

"Young Miss, the course schedule at Magic University is rather unique," Jiang Nan explained softly while driving smoothly in the front seat. "Unless you join a club or research project, you'll be quite busy. Otherwise, it's generally quite relaxed, since the weekly course load isn't that heavy."

Jiang Wenxi nodded slightly, her fingertips lightly resting on the edge of the car window, her gaze sweeping over the gradually clearing outline of the campus outside. The gate of Magic Science University was magnificent, with a wide square and towering, technologically advanced teaching buildings behind the carved wrought iron gate, the air seemingly filled with a faint scholarly and technological atmosphere.

As soon as the car came to a stop, two familiar voices came from the school gate. "Wenxi! Over here!" Fu Siya waved her little hand, and Ma Yun beside her waved back. Behind them stood the tall and straight Jiang Xunye.

Jiang Wenxi got out of the car, and Fu Siya immediately ran over, took her arm affectionately, and greeted her with a smile: "Good morning, Wenxi! You, Ma Yun, and I are all freshmen, while Jiang Xunye is already a sophomore."

The classroom they were heading to was the large lecture hall on the third floor of Building 3. As soon as they reached the door, they froze – the classroom was almost half full.

The group walked over and sat down in the empty seats in the corner. About ten minutes later, they heard light footsteps coming from the classroom door, and everyone instinctively looked up.

A middle-aged woman walked in. She wore thin-rimmed glasses, and her gaze behind the lenses was sharp yet gentle. She wore a well-tailored dark suit skirt, the hem of which just reached her knees, paired with low-heeled leather shoes, giving her an air of competence and composure.

The woman walked to the podium, gently placed her lesson plan on the table, and her gaze slowly swept across the entire classroom, instantly silencing the noisy room. She cleared her throat, her voice clear and strong: "Hello everyone. I am your academic advisor and also your class teacher. My name is Zhou Yu."

"Zhou Yu?" Upon hearing this name, Fu Siya was startled and exclaimed in surprise, her eyes filled with astonishment. "How could she be our mentor?"

Jiang Wenxi turned her head to look at Fu Siya, whose expression was strange, and asked softly, "Is she very famous?"

"Famous? That's more than just famous!" Fu Siya lowered her voice, her tone tinged with awe. "Wenxi, you don't know, she came from a remote mountain area and endured so much hardship to get to where she is today. I've heard she's incredibly shrewd, and most importantly, extremely capable. Even someone like my father wouldn't easily offend her; he even considered trying to win her over for a collaboration!"

She paused, leaned closer, and lowered her voice even further: "I can only tell you that her teaching skills are absolutely amazing."

Upon hearing this, a look of understanding flashed in Jiang Wenxi's eyes. It turned out that this seemingly ordinary mentor was actually such a capable person.
