The shop owner, an elegantly dressed middle-aged woman, greeted everyone with a smile as they entered: "Welcome everyone, I'm the perfumer here. Would you like to order a custom-made perfume?"

"Yes!" Fu Siya nodded first, her tone excited. "We want to each of us to create our own exclusive perfume!"

"Okay." The perfumer nodded with a smile and handed out sample strips of different scents to everyone. "You can try out the different scents first and determine your preferred base notes, such as floral, fruity, woody, aquatic, etc. Then we'll select specific ingredients to blend."

Everyone took the fragrance test strips and smelled them carefully. Fu Siya preferred sweet floral scents, and after trying several rose and jasmine-related fragrances, she immediately determined the base note;

Ma Yun prefers unique woody notes paired with a touch of fruitiness, finding them very mysterious and suitable for his villainous roles in games;

Jiang Xunye chose a calm aquatic tone, with a faint sea salt scent, simple yet sophisticated;

Jiang Wenxi opted for a cool woody scent mixed with a hint of white floral fragrance, understated yet distinctive.

After the base notes were determined, the perfumer began guiding everyone in selecting specific fragrance ingredients, explaining in detail the scent characteristics and lasting power of each ingredient. Fu Siya chose rose essential oil, jasmine extract, and added a touch of lychee fruit to make the fragrance sweeter and smoother.

Ma Yun chose sandalwood and cedar, paired with a small amount of citrus scent, to neutralize the heaviness of the woody notes;

Jiang Xunye chose sea salt, sage, and a touch of mint to make the fragrance fresher;

Jiang Wenxi chose agarwood and white truffle, paired with a small amount of lily of the valley fragrance, to create a cool and sophisticated feel.

Under the perfumer's patient guidance, everyone began to blend perfumes themselves. From accurately weighing the fragrance materials and mixing them in proportion, to shaking them evenly and letting them stand to blend, every step was done with utmost care.

Fu Siya carefully controlled the dosage, afraid that adding too much would disrupt the fragrance balance; Ma Yun seemed a bit clumsy, but fortunately the perfumer helped adjust in time, so there was no mistake; Jiang Xunye's movements were precise, and he did each step in an orderly manner; Jiang Wenxi learned quickly and was skilled, and soon completed the initial blending.

Under the perfumer's patient guidance, everyone began to blend perfumes themselves, meticulously following each step. The perfumer first distributed a set of exclusive perfumery tools to each person—a glass measuring cup accurate to 0.1 ml, a graduated dropper, a sealed glass stirring rod, and a transparent fragrance testing bottle.

The first step is to weigh the fragrance materials. The perfumer repeatedly reminded, "The proportion of fragrance materials directly determines the layers of fragrance. The proportions of top notes, middle notes, and base notes must be precisely controlled. Top notes should account for 15%-20%, middle notes 40%-50%, and base notes 30%-40%. You must not make any mistakes."

Fu Siya carefully drew rose essential oil with a dropper, her eyes fixed on the measuring cup, afraid of spilling even a drop too much: "This really tests your hand steadiness!" After drawing 1.5 ml of rose essential oil and 1 ml of jasmine extract, she used an even smaller dropper to draw 0.5 ml of lychee fruit essential oil, each step taken at an extremely slow pace.

With the perfumer's assistance, Ma Yun weighed the sandalwood and cedarwood essential oils. He imitated the perfumer, first placing the measuring cup on the electronic scale and zeroing it, then slowly dripping the materials in, silently reciting the markings: "0.8 ml sandalwood, 0.6 ml cedarwood..."

Jiang Xunye's movements were exceptionally precise. He first used a measuring cup to take 2 ml of sea salt essential oil, then used a dropper to precisely add 1 ml of sage essential oil, and finally added 0.3 ml of peppermint essential oil. Each step was methodical and orderly, and even the perfumer couldn't help but praise him.

"Mr. Jiang has a very precise control over the dosage and has a great talent for perfumery." Jiang Wenxi weighed 1.2 ml of agarwood essential oil according to her chosen ratio, then added 0.8 ml of white truffle essential oil, and finally added 0.5 ml of lily of the valley essential oil. Her hand holding the dropper was as steady as a rock, and the level of the essential oil in the measuring cup was precisely aligned with the scale line without the slightest deviation.

After weighing, the second step was to blend and stir. Everyone poured the three fragrance ingredients into a transparent testing bottle and slowly stirred clockwise with a glass stirring rod. The perfumer instructed from the side: "The stirring speed must be uniform, and each stirring should be at least 30 revolutions to ensure that the different fragrance ingredients are fully blended and there is no separation."

Fu Siya stirred slowly in rhythm, bringing her nose close to the bottle opening to sniff, and could clearly smell the fragrance of rose and jasmine gradually intertwining; Jiang Wenxi stirred while observing the state inside the bottle, and only stopped stirring when the essential oils were completely blended into a transparent liquid.

The third step is to let it sit and blend. The perfumer labels each test bottle with each person's name and fragrance formula, and then says, "Now we need to seal the test bottles and let them sit for 20 minutes to allow the fragrance molecules to fully collide and blend, so that the fragrance will be more mellow."

"Do not open the bottle caps during the settling period, otherwise the fragrance will dissipate." Everyone placed their sealed sample bottles in the designated area and waited patiently. After 20 minutes, the perfumer instructed everyone to open the bottle caps and allow the fragrance to diffuse naturally for 3 minutes before making final adjustments.

After opening the bottle, Fu Siya found the scent to be too sweet. On the perfumer's advice, she added 0.2 ml of jasmine essential oil to neutralize the sweetness. Ma Yun, on the other hand, felt the woody notes were too heavy. After adding 0.2 ml of citrus essential oil, the scent instantly became much fresher.

The final step is bottling and shaping. Everyone slowly pours the adjusted perfume into custom-made perfume bottles. The perfumer adds a special sealing plug to the bottle opening and demonstrates how to shake it well: "After bottling, gently shake it 10 times to stabilize the fragrance again. Then let it sit for 24 hours, and your personalized perfume will be fully formed."

After a moment of silence, everyone finally smelled the perfumes they had blended themselves. Fu Siya's perfume was sweet but not cloying, full of girlish charm; Ma Yun's perfume was unique and rich, very recognizable; Jiang Xunye's perfume was fresh and composed, suitable for everyday wear; Jiang Wenxi's perfume was cool and sophisticated, with a long-lasting scent.

Everyone was extremely satisfied with their creations and even asked the perfumer to help fill the perfumes into custom-made bottles and engrave their names on them.

"Hello, your total bill is 132,000 yuan."

As expected of a high-end luxury perfume shop, although the prices are not expensive for them, they are probably unaffordable for ordinary people.

"Do you have a branch in Shanghai?" Jiang Wenxi asked at this moment.

After all, she felt she quite liked this perfumery. She could use it as a pastime when she had free time, mixing her own scents – not bad at all.

"Yes, ma'am, you can leave your contact information, and I'll have the store manager in Shanghai add you on WeChat and send you the address."
