By the time everything was completely finished, it was almost 10 o'clock.

Shu Hua was so tired she didn't even want to move her fingers. Wrapped in Pei Yanzhou's bathrobe, she lay limply on the bed. Pei Yanzhou got up and called to order some private dishes to be served.

"I don't want to move..." Shu Hua's voice was muffled, her eyelids heavy. "Let's just eat here..."

After finishing her meal, Shu Hua lay back down on the bed, her eyes barely open.

After a quick wash, Pei Yanzhou lay down beside her and naturally pulled her into his arms. Shu Hua snuggled against him, found a comfortable position, and soon drifted off to sleep.

"Pei Yanzhou..." she said softly, "Are you asleep?"

Pei Yanzhou had his eyes closed, but he wasn't asleep: "Not yet. What's wrong? Do you want some water?"

"No need." Shu Hua snuggled closer to him. "I have something to tell you."

"Hmm." Pei Yanzhou gestured for her to continue.

"I'm planning to go to Jiangcheng with Yu Chu the day after tomorrow," Shu Hua said softly. "To visit Sister Jiani on set. I've been cooped up at home for so long, and I'm feeling much better now, so I'd like to go out for a walk, is that okay?"

She felt a little uneasy after she finished speaking. Although Pei Yanzhou was almost always willing to grant her requests, she wasn't sure if he would agree to go to another city, or if he would worry about it.

Pei Yanzhou remained silent for a few seconds. During those few seconds, Shu Hua's heart skipped a beat.

"Do you really want to go?" he asked, his tone devoid of emotion.

"Yes, I really want to," she answered honestly, with a hint of unconscious coquetry in her voice. "Just for a day or two."

There was another brief silence, then his deep voice rang out: "Then go."

Shu Hua was stunned, thinking she had misheard.

She abruptly lifted her head from his embrace, her eyes wide in the dim light, looking at him uncertainly: "You... you agreed? So quickly?"

Pei Yanzhou was amused by her surprised expression, a smile appearing in his eyes. He reached out and pinched the tip of her nose: "Because you wanted to go, didn't you?"

"I want to go, but..." Shu Hua muttered, but her heart melted at his unconditional support.

"No buts." Pei Yanzhou interrupted her, gently lifting her up so she was half-lying on his chest. He wrapped his arms around her waist and back, locking her firmly against him. "Hua'er, anything you want to do, as long as it doesn't endanger your safety, I'm willing to do it for you. My request is simple: I just want you to be safe and happy."

He paused, then added, "However, for safety's sake, Jenny and Anna must come with you. That's non-negotiable."

Shu Hua lay on top of him, her nose suddenly stinging with tears. This man, who was bearing the pain she had forgotten, still put all her wishes first and gave her the greatest possible freedom in his own way.

She buried her face in the crook of his neck, wrapped her arms around it, and said in a muffled voice, "...Pei Yanzhou."

Shu Hua and Chi Yuchu, followed closely by Jenny and Anna. The four of them drove directly to the film set where Wen Jiani was.

The film studio was vast, filled with antique-style buildings. Led by Wen Jiani's agent, Shu Hua and Chi Yuchu walked through the bustling film set and arrived at a relatively quiet rest area to wait.

"Ms. Shu, Ms. Chi, Sister Jia Ni is still filming. Let me take you to the lounge to wait for her," the agent said politely.

"It's alright, no rush," Shu Hua said with a smile.

The group was taken to a rest area next to the filming location. Several temporary tents had been set up there, with actors waiting and staff members busy at work.

Shu Hua and Chi Yu Chu found a place to sit down and looked at the filming location not far away.

Wen Jiani, dressed in a magnificent palace gown, is acting opposite her co-star. On camera, she exudes a calm demeanor, her eyes brimming with dramatic tension, a stark contrast to her usual gentle and serene nature, radiating the brilliance of professional acting.

"Jia Ni has such a strong presence when she's acting," Chi Yu Chu whispered in admiration.

Shu Hua was also engrossed in watching, nodding: "Yes, it's very captivating. That's the charm of a professional actor."

The scene seemed to be filmed quite smoothly. After the director yelled "Cut," a relaxed murmur arose on set. Wen Jiani, lifting her elaborate skirt, walked down from the filming area with the help of her assistant.

Just then, Shu Hua and Chi Yuchu noticed that a man had appeared at the edge of the film set.

The man, dressed in a well-tailored dark gray suit, stood tall and exuded a gentle and refined air. He appeared out of place yet remarkably conspicuous in the somewhat chaotic film set.

When Wen Jiani looked up and saw him, her slightly aloof expression, which had been due to filming, instantly melted away, and her eyes lit up with obvious surprise and smiles. She even disregarded the heavy costume and headdress she was wearing and quickened her pace, almost "jogging" towards the man.

The man smiled and took a few steps forward, naturally using a small handheld fan to blow air on her.

Wen Jiani looked up at him, her face showing a girlish shyness and excitement: "Why are you here? Have you been waiting long?"

Ji Tingchen's gaze fell gently on her face, his voice clear and melodious: "I happened to have some free time today, so I came to see you. Did the filming go well?"

"Yes, everything went smoothly!" Wen Jiani nodded vigorously, his arrival brightening his whole being.

The way the two stood together talking was natural and intimate.

Shu Hua and Chi Yuchu exchanged a glance, both having already made up their minds: it seemed that this was the "person Wen Jiani had feelings for" he had mentioned, and judging from their interaction, it was clearly more than just "feelings for each other".

The two walked over and greeted each other.

Chi Yuchu was the most lively. Linking arms with Shu Hua, her eyes darted between Wen Jiani and Ji Tingchen as she asked with a grin, "Sister Jiani, who is this...? Aren't you going to introduce her?" Her face was full of curiosity, as if she wanted to gossip about this.
