Just then, she suddenly remembered something: "Oh right, what about shooting stars? Do you think there will be shooting stars tonight?"

"Want to see?"

"I'd like to, but I don't think there will be any tonight." She looked at the dark sky outside; there were hardly any stars, let alone shooting stars.

Pei Yanzhou took her hand: "If you want it, you'll have it."

He opened the car door and led her out.

Shu Hua stood in the snow, looking up at the sky, which was still pitch black.

Just as she was about to speak, the sky suddenly brightened.

Countless points of light streaked across the sky—one, two, ten, a hundred—like a rain of shooting stars filling the heavens!

"Wow—" Shu Hua's eyes widened, and she was completely stunned.

More and more meteors appeared, denser and denser, as if someone had knocked over the stars in the sky, causing them to fall to earth.

"Pei Yanzhou!" she exclaimed excitedly, her words tumbling out incoherently. "Look, a shooting star! There really is a shooting star! Did you see it?!"

Pei Yanzhou stood behind her, watching her joyful figure, a smile playing on his lips.

"I saw it," he said.

He hugged her from behind, took her hand, and wrapped his large hand around her small hand, making a wishing gesture.

Make a wish.

Shu Hua nodded vigorously and closed her eyes.

The two made a wish together.

The meteor shower lasted for a full three minutes.

Later, Shu Hua learned that the meteor shower that night was actually an artificial meteor shower arranged by him.

Just then, a faint green hue appeared on the horizon, barely visible.

Then the green grew richer, brighter, and wider, and began to flow. Green, purple, and pink intertwined, changing shapes in the night sky.

Eric poked his head out of the RV and was stunned by what he saw. He quickly stepped out, looked up at the sky, and had an expression of disbelief on his face.

"You guys are so lucky," he said, his voice full of amazement. "I was about to give up tonight, but you guys made it."

"The aurora and meteors appeared at the same time. I've been an aurora hunter for twenty years and I've never seen anything like it."

He shook his head and said sincerely, "This is a miracle."

Shu Hua leaned against Pei Yanzhou's chest, watching the magnificent aurora.

She suddenly remembered a sentence.

We all make wishes upon shooting stars and the aurora borealis, hoping that our wishes will come true and that we will live in peace and tranquility year after year.

And maybe we'll always be together...

Two months later.

Hwaseong Art Museum, S Art Exhibition.

This is the first solo exhibition in China by internationally renowned artist S. On the first day of the exhibition, the venue was packed with people, with countless art lovers coming from far and wide.

At the very center of the exhibition hall hangs a huge oil painting.

It depicts the aurora borealis.

Under the aurora borealis, two figures embraced tightly, with a shower of meteors behind them.

Below the frame, the label reads: "Chasing Stars" — S

At the back of the crowd, a man in a black overcoat stood quietly.

He looked at the painting, a slight smile playing on his lips.

A woman in a white coat squeezed out of the crowd, ran to his side, and took his arm.

"What are you doing here?" She looked up at him, her eyes sparkling. "I've been looking for you for so long."

"I'm looking at paintings," he said.

Which one?

"This one."

The woman followed his gaze and then smiled.

"Is it pretty?"

"You look good." He looked down at her, his eyes full of tenderness, "but not as good-looking as you."

The woman paused for a moment, then blushed and punched him lightly.

"Pei Yanzhou, in public!"

Pei Yanzhou smiled and took her hand.

"Let's go home."

"it is good."

Author's closing remarks:

Dear readers, this book has now officially come to an end!

Thank you all for your continued support and love. The story of Shu Hua and President Yan has finally come to a perfect end.

About this story.

Actually, the reason I initially wanted to write about the "marriage of convenience followed by love" theme was because I really like this kind of setting. Two people who were originally unrelated are bound together by a marriage contract, and then slowly grow closer and fall in love in the process of getting along day by day.

How romantic! Hua Hua and President Pei—this is exactly the kind of love I imagine.

She's not the typical naive and innocent female lead. She's talented, has a temper, principles, and vulnerabilities. She can be charming and coquettish in front of President Pei, and she can also be sharp and incisive in the workplace.

And what about President Pei? This man, whom I initially envisioned as a "living Yama," gradually transformed into a love-struck individual who would act coquettishly in front of his wife and read cheesy pickup lines for her sake.

But I really like President Pei like this.

His passion for painting was never the kind of grand, dramatic "I love you," but rather hidden in the details. He knew she was afraid of the cold, so he would help her put on her coat; he knew she liked stars, so he took her to see the aurora; he knew the things she casually mentioned, so he silently remembered them and, one day, made them come true.

About the amnesia chapter.

I was actually quite nervous when writing the amnesia plot.

"Amnesia" is a common trope in romance novels, and if not written well, it can easily become melodramatic. But what I want to write is not "a tragic love story after amnesia," but "even with amnesia, I will still fall in love with you."

She forgot about President Pei while painting, and forgot everything between them. But she would still subconsciously rely on him, snuggle into his arms when she had nightmares in the middle of the night, and slowly fall in love with him under his gentle gaze.

Just like it says in the book, "The brain forgets him, but the heartbeat still remembers."

May your wishes come true, and may peace prevail year after year.

This is my blessing for painting and President Pei, and also a blessing for all readers.

Finally, thank you to every reader who has made it this far. Thank you for clicking on this story amidst the vast sea of books, and thank you for accompanying Shu Huahua and President Pei on this journey. A special thank you to those readers who have followed the updates without fail. I remember all your names, and I have carefully read every single comment.
