Shu Hua was held in his arms, her face pressed against his chest. She snorted and retorted softly, "Isn't that the same thing? They're bullying me like this, do they really think I'm a pushover?"

Although she's spoiled, she has her own bottom line and temper. She's well-mannered and doesn't like to fuss over small things, but the pride and self-assurance of the eldest daughter of the Shu family have never diminished. That doesn't mean she's easy to bully.

Pei Yanzhou looked at her fearless demeanor, feeling both indulgent and helpless. He lowered his head and gently kissed the top of her head.

The elevator dinged as it arrived at the top floor.

The door opened with a swipe of the swiping card. The outside world was shut out.

Pei Yanzhou turned around, leaning against the door, pulled Shu Hua in front of him, wrapped his arms around her waist, looked down at her, and suddenly asked a question out of the blue.

He paused, his gaze lingering on her slightly flushed cheeks and sparkling eyes, a playful smile curving his lips.

"Doesn't it seem like...cheating?"

Shu Hua: "!!!"

Her eyes widened instantly as she stared at him in disbelief, her ears turning red.

How can this man always say things like that without batting an eye?!

She opened her mouth, wanting to refute, but found herself at a loss for words.

Pei Yanzhou smiled and slowly leaned closer, his warm breath brushing against her face.

Shu Hua thought he was going to kiss her, so she subconsciously closed her eyes, wrapped her arms around his neck, tilted her head up slightly, and pouted her rosy lips involuntarily.

Pei Yanzhou looked at her trembling eyelashes and her slightly pouting lips, and couldn't help but chuckle softly.

Shu Hua waited for a long time, but the warm touch she expected didn't come. Instead, she heard a man's low chuckle.

She cautiously opened one eye with a puzzled look.

Meeting Pei Yanzhou's smiling eyes, she instantly realized—he was teasing her!

Her face instantly turned even redder.

This time, it wasn't a shy blush, but an embarrassed coo that made her want to disappear on the spot.

"Pei Yanzhou!" she called his name angrily, raising her hand to punch his chest in embarrassment and anger. "What are you doing!"

Pei Yanzhou chuckled and took her mischievous little hand in his palm. He lowered his head, bringing it close to her flushed ear, his voice alluring and magnetic:

Shu Hua: "..."

As she spoke, she forcefully pulled her hand away, shoved him aside, turned around angrily, and strode to the sofa in the living room. She plopped down on the sofa, trying to use distance to hide her slight embarrassment.

Shu Hua casually picked up a strawberry from the fruit plate, stuffed it into her mouth, and bit down hard.

Pei Yanzhou smiled and walked over, sitting down beside her. He naturally placed his arm on the back of the sofa behind her, forming a semi-encircling position.

"I want one too," he said, his voice still tinged with laughter. "Give me one, baby."

Shu Hua was still embarrassed by her earlier "unwarranted affection." Upon hearing this, she picked up the entire fruit plate in an annoyed manner, handed it to him, and said without even looking at him, "Take it yourself."

Pei Yanzhou didn't take it, but instead went further: "I don't have the strength in my hands, so you feed me."

Shu Hua: "..."

She was utterly defeated by his shamelessness! Why didn't he say he was tired when he was hugging and teasing her? Now he's tired just from eating a strawberry?

She gave him a reproachful glare. But in the end, she couldn't resist his alluring face. She picked up another strawberry, turned around, and held it to his lips, commanding, "Open your mouth."

Pei Yanzhou obediently opened his mouth.

Shu Hua fed him a strawberry, her fingertips inadvertently brushing against his lips. The warm touch made her quickly pull her hand back.

"Is it sweet?" she asked, casually picking up another strawberry and eating it herself.

Pei Yanzhou chewed slowly and deliberately, his gaze fixed on her face. Hearing this, he smiled slightly and said, "It's fed by Mrs. Pei herself, so how could it not be sweet?"

Shu Hua reasonably suspected that the man had gone for further studies.

"Want some more?" She picked up another one.

"No need, you eat it." Pei Yanzhou shook his head. He didn't actually like eating fruit much, and had never been fond of sweet things. He preferred watching her eat.

He simply shifted to a more comfortable position, resting one hand on the sofa armrest, propping his forehead up, and turned sideways, his gaze fixed on her. His other hand wasn't idle either, occasionally pinching the ticklish spot on her waist.

Shu Hua's most ticklish spot was her waist. Caught off guard by his sudden poke, she jerked violently as if electrocuted, nearly choking on the strawberry she hadn't yet swallowed.

"Cough cough... Pei Yanzhou!" She coughed, her face flushed, and glared at him, instinctively trying to dodge to the side.

"What are you doing?" Pei Yanzhou raised an eyebrow, his eyes innocent, then his finger followed, precisely poking the ticklish spot on her other side, and mischievously scratching it: "Missed me?"

"You big dummy!" Shu Hua felt both itchy and amused, twisting her body to try and escape his clutches. "You...you stop it...haha...it tickles so much..."

She laughed so hard she dropped the strawberries in her hand, which rolled onto the carpet. He made her so amused she was practically reclining on the sofa.

"Ah—! Pei Yanzhou, you bastard! Stop it! Haha..." Shu Hua was completely defeated. She laughed and tried to push him away with her hands and feet, but he easily grabbed both of her wrists with one hand and fixed them above her head.

"Have you missed me?" he pressed, his hands still moving.

"Haha... Stop, stop tickling me..." Shu Hua laughed until tears streamed down her face, curling up into a ball. "I was wrong, I was wrong..."

"What did I do wrong?" Pei Yanzhou persisted.

"I shouldn't have called you that... haha... I called you a bastard..."
