Lin Xun's smile deepened, and he still looked gentle and harmless, but the look in his eyes as he looked at Jiang Yu clearly conveyed a sense of provocation.

"Teacher, don't move," Lin Xun suddenly said softly, reaching out to gently cup Yu Fuli's cheek in her palm. "It seems like there's something on your face."

Yu Fuli was startled by his sudden action and subconsciously tried to turn her head to look, but was held in place by the gentle yet undeniable force in Lin Xun's hand.

Lin Xun leaned down and got close to Yu Fuli's face.

The distance between the two instantly shrank to the point where they could hear each other breathing.

He could see Yu Fuli's eyes widen slightly in surprise, and he could see the tiny shadows cast by the other's long eyelashes in the sunlight.

He slightly parted his lips and gently, slowly blew a breath toward Yu Fuli's cheek.

A warm breeze brushed against his skin, carrying the clean scent of soapberry from the boy's body.

The action itself might not have been particularly ambiguous, but from the perspective of the corridor where Jiang Yu was standing, it looked as if Lin Xun was holding Yu Fuli's face, looking down close, lips slightly parted, in an extremely intimate posture, while Yu Fuli looked up at him without any resistance... This was clearly a tender and affectionate kiss in progress.

Jiang Yu's fingers, which were holding the bouquet, suddenly tightened, and the wrapping paper made a soft creaking sound as it struggled to bear the weight.

His usual nonchalant smile vanished completely, and a dark storm suddenly surged in his eyes.

Lin Xun caught a glimpse of Jiang Yu's instantly darkened expression out of the corner of his eye.

He slowly straightened up, his fingertips seemingly brushing casually against Yu Fuli's earlobe before releasing his grip, taking a half-step back, his face still bearing that innocent and concerned expression: "Alright, it's blown away."

Yu Fuli was still a little dazed, and subconsciously touched her cheek and said thank you.

He was completely unaware that he had just become the center of a silent battle between two people, and he didn't see behind him that the stems of the bright red roses had been broken by being squeezed so tightly that the juice had stained the expensive wrapping paper red.

Suddenly, a strange chill crept up the back of Yu Fuli's neck without warning, causing him to shiver involuntarily.

He almost instinctively turned his head and looked towards the door of the ward—

The corridor was empty; there wasn't a soul in sight.

Looking down, a few bright red rose petals are scattered on the smooth ground, as if someone had carelessly left them behind when they left in a hurry.

There was nothing else.

There was no one as expected, nor any unusual sound. The chill that had felt so real just now seemed to be merely his imagination.

"What is the teacher looking at?" Lin Xun's voice rang out beside him, still gentle.

Yu Fuli withdrew her gaze, shook her head, and suppressed the strange feeling in her heart: "It's nothing."

He raised his hand and rubbed the back of his neck, explaining, "I just suddenly felt a chill down my back."

Upon hearing this, Lin Xun's gaze swept indifferently over the few lonely petals, a hint of mockery flashing deep in his eyes.

He didn't reply, but simply bent down and naturally picked up the luggage bag that Yu Fuli had already packed.

"It's probably just a draft coming in through the window; teacher, don't catch a cold." He spoke casually, as if the brief and subtle exchange had never happened. "Let's go."

Yu Fuli nodded, took one last look at the empty corridor and the shattered crimson, then turned and followed Lin Xun.

The chill came suddenly and went quickly, so quickly that he didn't have time to investigate further.

Life seems to be back on track.

Yu Fuli went to class as usual, grading homework and worrying about the dismal report cards of the little devils in Class F. Chalk dust flew in the sunlight as he wrote on the blackboard, pondering who he should get to tutor over the weekend.

Lin Xun seemed to have suddenly unlocked a cheat code, and she became a very competent vice president of the student council.

The once inconspicuous person who always kept her head down now walks briskly through the campus in her uniform, her back ramrod straight. When she speaks to someone, her words are concise and to the point.

He would only stop and obediently call out "Teacher" when he encountered Yu Fuli in the corridor, but his eyes were much deeper than before, making them unfathomable.

Jiang Yu is still the same as before.

Aside from Yu Fuli's classes, he is basically nowhere to be found in other classes.

Even when he arrived, he would stroll into the classroom right on time, casually sit in the last row, not reading or taking notes, but just propping his chin up and staring straight at Yu Fuli on the podium, his gaze blatant and undisguised.

That arrogant, "I'm happy to do it" attitude was unique in the entire school.

Qiaoqi kept her word, and her math grades really did improve.

This girl has an astonishing amount of energy. She's the student council's publicity minister while also managing Yu Fuli's fan club, keeping herself incredibly busy on both fronts. Even so, she still manages to squeeze in time to chase after Yu Fuli with her camera, snapping promotional photos, and then cheerfully approaching him to ask, "Teacher, how do you solve this problem?"

Yu Fuli watched her hurried figure, sometimes feeling tired for her, yet unable to help but admire her.

Xiao Chi's leg cast hasn't been removed yet, but he still comes to class every day without fail, with someone picking him up and dropping him off.

Yu Fuli privately advised him to rest more, and if necessary, he could grant him leave, but Xiao Chi simply shook his head and declined his offer.

The most amazing one is Yunbai.

He was the most seriously injured and almost died, but he was discharged from the hospital earlier than Xiao Chi.

Before leaving, he specifically came to find Yu Fuli, his face still pale. He stared at Yu Fuli for a few seconds, said some nonsensical things, and then turned and left, decisively and cleanly.

Yu Fuli was completely confused, but seeing that he seemed to be in good spirits, she didn't think too much about it.

Everything seemed to be in order, until this day.
