Entertainment to the death, make a tokusatsu film that will crush the entire internet.

"Director Yang, you still have the mind to watch animations on Tencent Video?"

When Su Xiaoran pushed open the door carrying a stack of documents, she found Yang Qian leaning back in his chair, staring intently at the computer screen.

The video playing on the screen is "Legend of the Otherworldly Heroes," a recent hit on Tencent Video.

"Um, can't I watch it?"

Yang Qian blinked and casually pressed the pause button.

"It's not that you can't watch it..."

Su Xiaoran placed the documents on the table, "It's just that many viewers are now urging us to update our works."

She handed over the tablet.

The screen displays the latest comment section of the official Weibo account of the Land of Light, which has been flooded with various creative requests for updates:

"@Ah-Guang, have you been living too comfortably lately? Haven't released any new work in ages! (hands on hips)"

"Did you think you could just leave us be with 'Ultraman Taro' and 'The Adventures of Chenglong'? See that 'like, comment, and share' button? If you don't update soon, I'm going to donate coins to Tencent Video!"

"Guangda! We can wait a bit for the new work, but can you hurry up with Ado's new song?! I want to hear the new song!!"

"The Pokémon demo isn't enough! Why is there only the first gym?! I want the later chapters! I want to catch legendary Pokémon!!!"

"Guangda, your recent update lengths are getting shorter and shorter~ You're just a nobody~"

Yang Qian: "..."

He silently scrolled through several pages of comments and found that the formats of the requests for updates were becoming increasingly diverse.

Someone created a comparison chart showing the decline in domestic energy production capacity.

I made a bar chart showing the timeline of when he was simultaneously producing five anime series and now he's only producing two.

Someone photoshopped an emoji.

Ah Guang lay asleep on a pile of banknotes.

The caption reads, "Financial freedom achieved, time to get started."

Some people even wrote short essays:

"You used to be a workaholic in the animation industry, a synonym for productivity."

Ultraman Tiga, Evangelion, Kuuga, Digimon Adventure, Madoka Magica, Super Beast Force...

One film after another, never letting us run out of supplies.

Now you are a salted fish, a pigeon spirit, and a bad man we long for.

Tell me! Were you bribed by Tencent Video?! (crying)

Yang Qian rubbed her temples.

"I see."

Indeed, currently only two anime series are being updated in the Land of Light: Ultraman Taro and The Adventures of Chenglong.

Although "Himouto! Umaru-chan" has been completed, it is scheduled to air in April, and the broadcast time has not yet arrived.

"Romance of the Three Kingdoms" is an entry in the National Style Competition and is currently undergoing the final review process, so it cannot be released in advance.

Other projects, such as "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" and "Jingju Cats," are still in production.

"Things have come to this..."

Yang Qian put down the tablet and looked at Su Xiaoran.

"Then that's all we have."

"it?"

Su Xiaoran was taken aback.

"Clannad".

Yang Qian calmly said, "Notify the 2D team to prepare for the release."

"what?"

Su Xiaoran's eyes widened.

"ah???"

"Director Yang, are you serious?!"

"It's in response to the strong demands of the audience."

Yang Qian nodded.

Su Xiaoran's expression instantly became complicated.

As an assistant, she had seen some preview clips of Clannad beforehand.

Although she only watched some clips, those clips were enough to make her secretly wipe away tears under the covers late at night.

Is it going to be released online now?

She silently lit a candle for the viewers in front of the screen.

"Hopefully, the audience has a strong enough stomach for this..."

She prayed silently in her heart.

That afternoon, the official Weibo account of the Land of Light was updated.

A simple promotional image.

A brown-haired boy and a long-haired girl walk side by side on the cherry blossom path on campus.

The colors in the image are warm and soft, full of youthful energy.

With text:

The new game "Clannad" will be exclusively available on Starlight Video tomorrow at 12 noon.

This is a story about family and growing up.

May you find your own story within it.

The comment section was flooded with tens of thousands of replies instantly:

"It's here! It's here! Everbright has finally taken action!"

"Clannad? What does that name mean? My English isn't good, could you please translate it?"

"It seems to refer to family? The copy also mentions family and growth."

"School setting! Cherry blossoms! Young boys and girls! Is this a romance anime?! (Looking forward to it!)"

"The art style is so heartwarming, it must be a sweet slice-of-life anime like 'K-On!', right? Healing is the best!"

"Kuangda has finally made a normal youth romance anime! I'm so happy!"

"Wait, have you guys forgotten what the tagline for 'Puella Magi Madoka Magica' was before it started airing? 'A healing magical girl~' (smiles)"

"...Shut upstairs! Don't mention that name! I'm going to have a PTSD attack!"

"This time it's different! Look at the art style! Look at the script! This is definitely a truly healing anime!"

"I believe it now, and I hope Guangda will act like a decent human being."

On the trending topics list, #NewClannadoftheLandofLight# quickly climbed into the top 20.

Most viewers believe that this should be a heartwarming slice-of-life school anime similar to "K-On!".

After all, the Land of Light had just finished the philosophically profound "Super Beast Force" and the depressing masterpiece "Puella Magi Madoka Magica".

It's perfectly reasonable to make a lighthearted and healing youth anime to lift your spirits these days.

Many fans of romance anime have even started celebrating:

"Everbright Securities is finally venturing into romance themes! Looking forward to it!"

"I hope the male lead isn't too dense, and the female lead isn't too arrogant, please!"

"Given Guangda's standards, their romance anime will definitely be masterpieces!"

"I've already prepared my insulin, it's so sweet it'll kill me!"

Tencent Video, Animation Division.

"strangeness……"

The wisteria blossoms whispered to themselves.

This time, the Land of Light didn't immediately come up with a comparable work?

Based on Ah Guang's past behavior, seeing that "Legend of the Otherworldly Heroes" was doing well...

Shouldn't they immediately release an animated film of the same theme, or even one of higher quality, to compete with it?

"Tales of Heroes from Another World" is a "prodigy" style isekai (another world) anime produced by Tencent Video, leveraging its superior resources.

The protagonist starts at max level and easily crushes all opponents. The plot is light and fast-paced with almost no tragic moments.

This simple and straightforward "feel-good" writing style perfectly caters to the needs of a large number of viewers seeking stress relief and relaxation in the current market.

"Purple Boss, the data for our 'Tales of Heroes from Another World' is excellent!"

The assistant pushed open the door, a happy look on his face, and handed over a tablet.

"As you can see, the rating has steadily risen from 9.4 at the start to 9.6 now! The number of viewers following, the paid subscription rate, and the completion rate are all number one in the same period!"

The tablet displays popular comments from viewers.

"Penguin finally put in some effort this time! This isekai (another world) anime is really good, it's so enjoyable to watch!"

"It's nice to have a pure overpowered protagonist story once in a while. At least you don't have to worry about the plot or the angst. You can just comfortably watch the protagonist show off."

"Is it because the Land of Light hasn't been making any isekai (another world) themed films lately? Tencent has picked up this blue ocean market."

"Perhaps the Land of Light's focus is on that national style animation competition? After all, winning it comes with real money and policy resources as rewards."

"An animated version of Romance of the Three Kingdoms? Judging from the poster, it's a serious historical drama, which I don't really want to watch. It seems too serious and boring... I might check it out if it's a parody."

"As usual, I'm urging Hikaru to update! But it seems like Penguin is going to take the lead in this isekai race for now?"

As the wisteria flower read these comments, the corners of its mouth involuntarily curved upwards.

This favorable situation actually made her feel a little uncomfortable?

"Aside from that national competition entry, has there been any other developments in the Land of Light lately?"

She asked.

"Just detected that the official Weibo account of the Land of Light released a trailer for a new anime called 'CLANNAD.' Judging from the art style and synopsis, it seems to be a heartwarming slice-of-life anime like 'K-On!'."

The assistant retrieved the data.

Wisteria frowned slightly as she looked at the promotional image for the new game "Clannad" from the Land of Light.

"A school romance anime?"

She turned to her assistant and asked, "Has the Land of Light done this type of thing before?"

Strictly speaking, no.

The assistant pulled up the information: "K-On! is about the daily life of a music club. Although there are girls who are close, it's not the main storyline of romance."

"So this is their first time trying a pure romance genre?"

The wisteria seemed lost in thought.

The assistant nodded: "Judging from the publicity, yes."

"Moreover, the art style is very warm, and the copywriting emphasizes family and growth, so it should be a heartwarming and healing style."

The wisteria flower leaned back in her chair, a slight smile appearing on her face.

It seems the Land of Light wants to switch gears this time and create some lighter content.

That makes sense. Having just finished a project of the caliber of "Puella Magi Madoka Magica," the team needs to adjust their pace.

"President Zi, should we take action?"

"The assistant asked."

"Not for now."

Wisteria shook her head: "Keep the project team at a consistent pace of updates and stabilize the core business."

She looked at the Clannad promotional image on the screen.

"Although the market for romance anime is quite large, it doesn't conflict with our isekai (another world) overpowered protagonist genre."

"When viewers want to watch fast-paced monster-fighting and leveling-up action, they come here; when they want to watch heartwarming romantic slice-of-life stories, they go to the Land of Light."

"Perhaps we can coexist peacefully for a while this time."

The assistant nodded and took notes.

But for some reason, she felt uneasy.

Will Land of Light really just be a pure, heartwarming romance anime?

Office of the Land of Light.

Supervisor Chen Yi knocked on Yang Qian's office door, holding a storage disk.

"Director Yang, these are the first two episodes of the animation project you specifically assigned to us, and they are now complete."

Chen Yi placed the storage disk on the table, his face showing a hint of fatigue, but mostly excitement.

"Thanks for your hard work."

Yang Qian took the storage disk, inserted it into the computer, and quickly browsed the finished product.

The visuals are exquisite, the pacing is soothing, and the atmosphere is exceptionally well-crafted, conveying a sense of tranquility and depth that has been refined over time.

"Excellent, fantastic, it completely met expectations."

Yang Qian nodded in satisfaction.

Chen Yi breathed a sigh of relief, then asked curiously.

"Director Yang, this animation seems quite different from anything we've done before?"

"Although it's set in another world, but..."

"But the protagonist isn't a hero, and the story doesn't begin with an adventure, right?"

Yang Qian picked up the conversation, smiled,

He never said that the Land of Light doesn't make isekai anime.

Who says that stories set in another world have to be about a hot-blooded young man becoming a hero, defeating a demon king, and saving the world?

Why can't we tell a story about life, memories, and farewell after a hero dies?

You agree, right?

Yang Qian's gaze fell on the image frozen on the screen.

A serene elven girl with long silver hair stood quietly in a field full of blue flowers, gazing into the distance.

Her name, along with this work, will soon resonate in the hearts of countless viewers.
