Entertainment to the death, make a tokusatsu film that will crush the entire internet.

Cyndi Wang.

This name is familiar to many people born in the 80s and 90s, and even some born in the 70s.

It carries a memory of sweet love in youth.

She was once known as the "Sweetheart Queen" of the Chinese music scene.

With the song "Love You", he swept across the country.

Upbeat melodies, sweet voices, and signature dance moves.

This made her one of the undisputed top stars of the millennium.

Her voice could be heard everywhere, from music stores on the streets to campus radio stations and even in pirated MP3 players.

But that was more than a decade ago.

Now, times have changed.

Traffic is king, data reigns supreme.

Can you sing?

unimportant.

There were no trending topics, no hot searches, no youthful appearance, and no impressive statistics.

In this fast-paced entertainment industry, it's easy to be labeled as "outdated".

Not to mention, she's already over forty.

In many people's stereotypes.

Female singers of this age should gracefully step down from the limelight.

Or participate in some "memory-triggering" variety shows.

Instead of continuing to be active at the forefront of the mainstream music market.

When I received Su Xiaoran's call.

Wang Xinling is currently in her studio, practicing her vocals in preparation for her newly planned mini-tour concert.

"Hello, Ms. Wang Xinling, I am Su Xiaoran from the Light Country Animation Studio."

"We are currently preparing a new all-ages animated series called 'Little Heroes'."

"We'd like to invite you to record the theme song for this project. Would you be interested and available?"

"The Land of Light? Looking for me?"

Wang Xinling was momentarily stunned.

I even subconsciously glanced at my phone screen to confirm it wasn't a scam call.

Land of Light?

That one recently went viral online with its high-quality animation and tokusatsu series.

Even cultural companies that have begun to set sail overseas?

Why would they hire a female singer who is considered washed up by many and only sings sweet songs?

And it's for recording an anime theme song?

Does this... match up?

Her mind raced through the famous works of the Land of Light.

The dark and depressing nature of Puella Magi Madoka Magica;

The profound tragedy of Nexus;

The poignant sadness of "The Burial of Frilline"...

None of them seem to fit my style.

"Could it be a lighthearted work similar to a magical girl story?"

She wondered to herself.

"Okay, my schedule can be arranged. What kind of song is it?"

"Thank you, Teacher Wang."

"We have sent the relevant song demo and sheet music to your work email address. You can take a look at them first."

"The lyrics and music were both written by Ah-Kuang himself, and the song is called 'The Light of Dreams'."

"The Light of Dreams?"

After hanging up the phone, Cyndi Wang immediately opened her email.

The name piqued her curiosity.

She opened the file.

I chase the light of my dream

It was because of courage

Only those who are not afraid of danger

Your love has no limits.

Give me the strength to keep going...

She listened to it the first time.

silence.

I listened to it a second time.

Her eyes were slightly red.

She picked up her phone and sent a message to Su Xiaoran.

"Was this song... really written for me?"

Su Xiaoran replied very quickly:

"Teacher A-Guang said that this song should have been sung by you."

Cyndi Wang's fingers gently brushed across the lyric sheet.

She could clearly feel the energy and sincerity contained in the song.

"Teacher A-Guang... he really is..."

Wang Xinling murmured to herself, a long-lost feeling of excitement and admiration welling up in her heart.

Fortunately, he only plans to direct and doesn't intend to fully commit to the music industry...

Otherwise, given his cross-disciplinary creative talent...

It seems the Chinese music industry is really going to be completely dominated by him.

Friday at 5:50 p.m.

Many viewers were waiting on the "Shenbing Xiaojiang" playback page of Xingguang Video.

This martial arts fantasy animation is touted as "suitable for all ages and families".

Starlight Video has invested considerable promotional resources.

The main selling points are "Products from the Land of Light are guaranteed to be of high quality" and "Childhood nostalgia – Cyndi Wang sings the theme song".

At the same time, Tencent Video also launched "Bakugan no Shonen" with great fanfare.

However, the two have significant differences in subject matter.

One focuses on fantasy adventure and divine weapon transformation, while the other focuses on card summoning battles.

The anticipated "head-to-head confrontation" fun has been greatly reduced.

This left some netizens who enjoy entertainment feeling slightly disappointed.

"What a pity, it's not a direct competitor, so we won't see the bloodshed (doge)."

"We have to leave some room for our competitors to survive sometimes, right? If we kill them all, who's going to play with us? (laughs)"

"I heard this is a martial arts animation suitable for all ages, finally I can watch it with my kids!"

"I wonder what the opening theme is like. I heard that Guangda wrote the lyrics and music themselves, and that Cyndi Wang, the 'Sweetheart Queen,' sings it! Looking forward to it!"

"Sweetheart Queen YYDS! My youth is back!"

Of course, many younger viewers are not familiar with the name Cyndi Wang, and some even have doubts about it:

"Sweetheart Queen? Who's that? Never heard of her."

"My dad told me it was a very popular female star when he was young, the one who sang 'Love You'."

"Huh? That means you'd be in your forties or fifties? Singing an animated film theme song at that age? Is that even possible? Won't your voice sound old?"

"Making money isn't shameful; it's probably just selling nostalgia. The voices are probably heavily edited."

"Is that the kid upstairs? Back when 'Love You' was a hit all over the country, you were still wearing open-crotch pants."

"Whether she's past her prime or not, the person chosen by the Land of Light is absolutely right!"

"+1, I trust Ah-Guang's judgment!"

"Ten minutes left! Urgent!"

at the same time.

A high-end apartment.

Wang Xinling sat on the sofa, holding a cushion in her arms, her eyes fixed on the TV screen.

The screen displays the Starlight Video playback page.

Countdown: 08:23.

Her hands tightened unconsciously.

She's over forty years old.

He has been in the industry for over 20 years.

What kind of scene haven't I seen?

But at this moment, she was actually a little nervous.

Countdown: 03:00.

Wang Xinling pulled herself out of her memories.

She looked at the comments on the screen.

"washed-up singer".

"What can someone over forty sing?"

"Making money is not shameful."

She smiled.

Don't get angry.

because--

She knew what they were going to hear.

Countdown: 00:00.

The screen flashed.

The first episode of "Legendary Warriors" is officially released!

After a brief opening animation, the intro begins.

The crisp electronic sound effects and rhythmic drumbeats instantly grab your attention.

Immediately afterwards, a clear, sweet, and energetic girl's voice rang out.

Running through the crowd

i can't see

Occasionally encountering loneliness

Spinning around in place

I face myself

tiptoe

got a little closer

The dream lives ahead...

Many viewers.

Especially those young viewers who previously had doubts about Cyndi Wang's age.

Upon hearing the clear singing voice.

The first reaction was to be stunned, and some people even subconsciously checked the singer's information to confirm.

Is this...is this really the voice of someone in their forties?!

"Holy crap??? This is Cyndi Wang???"

"That voice, is it from someone around eighteen years old???"

"I'm dumbfounded. How can a person in their forties produce such a sound?"

"My goodness, she's maintained herself so well! Her voice is absolutely amazing!"

"I've heard her old songs, but this one... is even sweeter than before???"

"It's not just sweet! Listen carefully, there's something in that sound!"

I chase the light of my dream

It was because of courage

Only those who are not afraid of danger

Your love has no limits.

Give me the strength to keep moving forward

……

】

The moment the chorus begins.

Countless viewers got goosebumps.

Those dissenting voices have completely disappeared.

Her longtime fans were even more excited at this moment.

"Waaaaah, Cyndi Wang! My youth!"

"After all these years, we can finally hear the Sweetheart Queen sing a new song for an anime again! Thank you, Land of Light! Thank you, Light!"

"This girl's voice has remained unchanged for decades. Youngsters, watch closely! This is true talent!"

"Anyone who managed to stand out in the fiercely competitive Chinese music scene of the millennium had to have some talent. Did you really think the title of 'Sweetheart Queen' was just for show?"

"Where are the kids who called others washed up before? Why don't you come out and show yourselves?"

"I'm sorry, I was wrong. I shouldn't have questioned the selection of the people by the Land of Light."

The upbeat and exciting melody is paired with powerful lyrics.

It instantly brought out the anime's themes of "adventure, courage, and protection" to the fullest.

Young audiences were captivated by the melody and rhythm, tapping their feet along, finding it catchy and engaging.

And viewers who have experienced more ups and downs in life.

Then, I gradually came to understand the deeper meaning in the lyrics.

It's about feeling lost and lonely in a crowd, and about hesitating when facing oneself.

And ultimately, with inner courage and love from others, they break free from constraints and pursue their dreams with unwavering determination.

"Ah-Guang, he's still the same Ah-Guang after all..."

Some viewers commented in the live chat.

"He can write with passion in 'Miracle Again,' and he can also write with inspiration and warmth in 'Spotlight of Dreams.'"

"These lyrics really resonate with me. Sometimes I encounter loneliness and find myself going around in circles... Isn't that exactly how I feel at times?"

"Indeed, only Guangda could write such a gentle yet powerful sentence as 'Your love has no limit, giving me the strength to keep moving forward.'"

Some younger viewers were confused.

"What are you talking about? I don't understand. Isn't it just a really upbeat and catchy song?"

"It's okay, kid. As long as you like it, that's enough. This song is great."

Some older viewers responded gently.

"With Cyndi Wang singing such a fantastic opening theme for Land of Light, I'm definitely watching this anime!"

"Me too! I've already shared it in the family group chat; it's suitable for the whole family to watch together!"

"Count me in! For the Sweetheart Queen and the Land of Light, we must support her!"

"I've already arranged pre-orders for everyone in my company; we have to support the Sweetheart Queen."

"A domineering CEO has appeared upstairs."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Earth.

Many overseas viewers became fans of the Land of Light because of "Ultraman Tiga".

I'm currently enjoying the pleasure of watching two episodes released every day.

But at the same time, I also started to feel thirsty.

Not enough!

They frantically searched online for keywords such as "Land of Light," "Guang Zhi Guo," and "More Chinese anime."

Someone bypassed the Great Firewall and found the international version of Starlight Video, but it cannot be viewed in restricted areas.

Some people searched diligently among various anime information websites and bloggers who reposted content.

In the midst of this anxious search.

A message from the Chinese animation community was spotted, translated, and reposted by sharp-eyed netizens:

"The latest animated series from the Land of Light, 'Legend of the Divine Weapon,' premieres tonight in China, featuring a theme song sung by renowned singer Cyndi Wang!"

The accompanying image is a poster for "Legend of the Condor Heroes" and a fragment of the lyrics from the opening theme song "Light of Dreams".

"What?! They have a new animation?! And it looks so cool!"

"Why is it only being released in China?! We want to see it too!"

"The song snippet sounds amazing! Who is Cyndi Wang? Her voice is both sweet and powerful!"

"It's not fair! We only have Ultraman Tiga (which is amazing), but they have so many!"

"Land of Light, please! We need subtitles! International release!"

"I'm learning Chinese so I can see their other works sooner..."
