Chapter 766: Motion for the Survival of the Starfield, Special Level War Preparedness!
Looking around, the interior of the entire Divine Court Council Tower was quite quiet.
The passageway is extremely wide, enough for a hundred or so people to walk side by side.
The ground is a single piece of polished dark gray star rock, and there is no sound when you step on it.
On both sides of the wall, a star map is hung every ten steps. These maps are not static images, but rather real star maps compressed into crystals using some kind of technology.
The area marked above is the first territory established by Ashmerkrin, which consisted of only three star systems.
Further along, the area of the star field on the map expands exponentially, and the color gradually changes from the initial dark blue to a rich golden red.
Half an era of conquest and expansion is simply displayed on the wall, silently and without a trace.
The two rangers led him to the highest-ranking office of the ruling elders and then stopped.
He bowed again, then turned and left.
Terence walked alone along the corridor for about twenty steps and stopped in front of a purple wooden door. On either side of the door stood a guard, dressed in full heavy armor, their expressions hidden beneath their visors.
One of them recognized the newcomer and exchanged a glance with his companion, turning his head slightly: "Patriarch Lucia, please come in."
The door opened silently.
However, the office setting was much simpler compared to the grandeur of the entire Ashmerkrin headquarters.
The room was devoid of superfluous decorations, and there were no statues or flags that proclaimed authority.
Only a floating desk occupied the center of the room, with several holographic documents spread out on the table, and blue light reflected on the face of the visitor.
Rigley sat behind his desk, his hair and beard all white, wearing a dark purple robe.
Admittedly, the person in front of him looks no different from an old, decrepit being, but if you look closely, you will find that the air around Rigli begins to distort, and light will bend unconsciously when it passes by.
This is precisely the spillover of professional authority.
As a level 159 professional, even if he just sits there quietly flipping through documents.
Its very existence is already rewriting the physical laws within a small surrounding area.
"They're here."
Rigley didn't look up, his fingers continuing to swipe across the light screen: "I'm looking at what Lance sent me, please wait a moment."
Terence nodded and stood two steps in front of the desk, his hands behind his back.
The office was quiet for almost half a minute.
Finally, the old man scrolled to the bottom of the last data and pressed the edge of the light screen.
All files collapsed and disappeared simultaneously.
He leaned back in his chair, raised his eyelids and glanced at Terence: "Seger's vanguard has lost 30%, and Ozheimer was driven back before he even touched the edge of the Rift."
"The density and coordination of the insect swarm far exceed those of a regular herd riot."
"This scene is truly worthy of the False God Legion's handiwork!"
He paused, and before Terence could answer, continued, "I will use my authority as a ruling elder to submit a motion regarding the survival of the star field to the Divine Council."
"You accompanied me when the meeting started."
Upon hearing this, Terence nodded solemnly. As one of the six great families of the Starfall Divine Realm, he certainly knew what this meant.
In Ashmek Court law, emergency motions are divided into three levels.
Ordinary motions, major motions, and the highest-level motion, the "Survival of the Starfield."
This last tier has only been triggered twice since the establishment of Ashmerkham.
Once submitted, the six ruling families must send plenipotentiary representatives to the roundtable meeting at the top of the council tower within half a standard hour.
No one may be absent for any reason, may not delegate their duties to a collateral relative, or participate remotely via communication.
It must be a person, someone who can make the final decision, who must be present in person.
"In the motion, I will give you a full account of the estimated size of the Old Gods Legion and the current situation of the Starfall Rift being sealed off."
As he spoke, Rigley walked back behind his desk and took out a thumb-sized black crystal from a drawer: "As for what to do after the meeting... whether to seek help from the Star Council or retreat to the Divine Court depends on the other ruling families' ideas."
Terence stared at the black crystal, his Adam's apple bobbing. "Lord Rigley, the meeting is one thing, but what about Anya..."
Although he didn't finish his sentence, Rigley clearly understood what he meant.
Rigley looked up at him, paused for two seconds, and said, "Before the council votes, I can't mobilize the regular legions of the Divine Court, but I can use my personal authority to pull out the Lucia family's standby fleet stationed in the Oran Starfield and Tarvis."
"Two standby formations, totaling 417 warships, I ordered them to set off immediately and head towards the Starfall Rift. I don't expect them to break through the blockade, but at least to establish a support channel on the periphery."
"If... Anya's fleet still has any remaining strength to break through, someone has to be outside to meet them."
Hearing this, Terence's shoulders, which had been tense for a long time, relaxed a little: "Thank you."
Rigli waved his hand, not responding to that.
Instead, he turned around and walked towards a communications station in the corner of the office.
The communication station was different from ordinary equipment. Instead of an antenna, the top was a slowly rotating silver ring structure, like a miniature star ring.
Riglie reached out and pressed three buttons on the side of the communication station.
The silver ring suddenly accelerated its rotation, and a pale golden halo spread upwards from the platform, enveloping Rigley: "This is Rigley, the ruling elder of Ashmerkton, representing the Lucia family."
"The following notice is addressed to all council members of the six ruling families."
"In the direction of Starfall Rift, it has been confirmed that the legions under the command of the Old God Zogra have amassed on a large scale. The initial estimate of the number of Dimension Eater swarms exceeds 10 billion, and a complete blockade has been implemented on the jump faults surrounding the Rift."
"Effective immediately, all ruling families shall enter a state of high alert. All family-based garrison units shall cancel all leave and rotations, and all warships in Hong Kong shall be placed on standby."
"I repeat, top-level combat readiness."
After saying the last word, Rigli reached out and cut off the communication.
The rotation speed of the silver ring gradually decreased, and the golden halo dissipated.
The office fell silent again.
Terence stood there, listening to the brief echo of the electrical current dissipate in the air after the communication was cut off.
He knew that from this moment on, the gears of the entire Starfall Divine Realm had begun to turn faster.
The six ruling families, hundreds of affiliated forces, and tens of thousands of warships and professional legions will all be on high alert because of those few words.
But all of this takes time, and time is what Anya lacks most in the Starfall Rift.
After turning off the radio, Rigley did not immediately return to his desk. Instead, he stood there, turned around and looked at Terence, his gaze softening slightly.
