The Courtyard House: The story begins with He Yuzhu beating up the White Widow.

He Yuzhu then recounted his conversation with Xu Dali to Wang Xia. After listening to He Yuzhu's account, Wang Xia asked, "Yuzhu, can this really be used to grow vegetables?!"

He Yuzhu said, "I'm not too sure either. We're just trying it out right now. If it grows successfully, I plan to build a greenhouse over there. Then we won't have to worry about not having vegetables to eat in the winter."

Wang Xia reached out and touched the material of the membrane, then asked, "Zhu Zi, do you know the person who sold you this?!"

He Yuzhu shook his head and replied, "I don't know him."

Wang Xia looked regretful, then asked, "Zhu Zi, where are the rest of these things?!"

He Yuzhu replied, "It's in the storage room!" Then he asked, "Aunt Wang, if you need it, I'll go get it for you."

"No need!" Wang Xia stopped He Yuzhu and continued, "The verdicts for Zhuzi Yi Zhonghai and the deaf old lady are out."

He Yuzhu's face immediately lit up with curiosity, and he asked, "How long were they sentenced to?!"

Wang Xia said, "They were all sentenced to death. Yi Zhonghai didn't have to die, but he was implicated in the case of murdering Jia Dongxu's father."

He Yuzhu said, "Aunt Wang, knowing the Jia family's nature, if they find out that Yi Zhonghai killed Old Jia, they will definitely seek compensation from Yi Zhonghai."

Wang Xia said, "When Yi Zhonghai and Zhao Shufen divorced, Zhao Shufen sent Yi Zhonghai's share of the savings to the Military Control Commission. This money was enough to compensate the Jia family. However, Yi Zhonghai was unwilling to pay, so he donated all the money."

He Yuzhu said, "Aunt Wang, Yi Zhonghai is setting a trap for you! Luckily, Jia Zhangshi is in jail now. If she were outside and knew about this, she would definitely come to the Military Control Commission to cause trouble."

Wang Xia laughed and said, "Do you think Jia Zhangshi is clean?! The reason Old Jia threatened Yi Zhonghai is because Yi Zhonghai was having an affair with Jia Zhangshi, and he caught them in the act."

He Yuzhu gave a strange smile and muttered, "Wow?! Yi Zhonghai has some rather unusual tastes?!"

"What flavor?!" Wang Xia asked, puzzled, after hearing He Yuzhu's muttering.

"Nothing?!" He Yuzhu snapped out of her daze and said, "Aunt Wang, it's time to eat!"

"Let's go! Let's go eat!" With that, Wang Xia led He Yuzhu out of the courtyard.

After lunch, He Yuzhu tidied up his private plot of land for a bit and was about to go home when Wang Xia stopped him and said, "Zhuzi, go back and inform them that Director Wu and I will be going to your compound at 7 p.m. tonight to announce the decision regarding the handling of Yi Zhonghai and the deaf old lady."

"Got it! I'll inform them when I get back." With that, He Yuzhu scurried away from the Military Control Commission.

About ten minutes later, He Yuzhu arrived at the entrance of the courtyard house. He saw Yang Ruihua sunbathing. He Yuzhu said, "Aunt Yang, please inform them that the Military Control Commission will be coming to our courtyard at seven o'clock tonight to announce the decision made by the higher authorities regarding the deaf old lady and Yi Zhonghai."

Yang Ruihua immediately perked up and asked, "Zhu Zi, what do they plan to do with them?!"

He Yuzhu smiled and replied, "You'll find out tonight." He then walked directly into the courtyard house. After He Yuzhu left, the people sunbathing at the entrance began to gossip. What the neighbors were talking about was none of He Yuzhu's concern.

Back home, He Yuzhu saw He Daqing drinking with Xu Wude. He Yuzhu greeted them with a smile, "Uncle Xu!"

"Hmm!" Xu Wude nodded slightly, picked up his wine glass, took a sip, and said, "Zhu Zi, I heard you've already completed your apprenticeship. With such good skills, it's a real shame you're not a chef."

He Yuzhu sat down next to He Daqing and said, "My culinary skills are a family tradition and also a hobby. But I don't want to make it my profession. I'm currently working as a purchasing agent for the Military Control Commission, and it's pretty good." Then, changing the subject, he said, "The decision regarding Yi Zhonghai and the deaf old lady has been made. They'll be here tonight to announce it."

He Daqing sized up He Yuzhu and asked, "Do you know how the higher-ups plan to deal with them?!"

"I know! Aunt Wang told me!" He Yuzhu took a bottle of Beibingyang soda from the cabinet, opened the cap, took a sip, and asked, "Do you know how Old Jia died?!"

"Old Jia?! That Old Jia?!" He Daqing and Xu Wude exchanged a blank look, and both looked at He Yuzhu at the same time.

He Yuzhu gestured towards the person opposite him with his lip and said, "And that old Jia?! Jia Zhangshi's man."

"Didn't he die in an accident?!" Hulwood exclaimed.

He Yuzhu laughed and replied, "What accident?! Old Jia discovered that Yi Zhonghai was cheating on him. He used this to blackmail Yi Zhonghai. After being threatened so many times, Yi Zhonghai got desperate. So Yi Zhonghai tampered with the machine Old Jia was using and sent him away." At this point, He Yuzhu suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. In the original drama, Jia Dongxu was hanged on the wall at a young age. Many people said he was often hungry and fainted from hunger, which led him to fall headfirst into the machine and die. Others said Jia Dongxu had been playing for several days straight without sleep and fell asleep at work, resulting in his death. However, based on Old Jia's situation, He Yuzhu felt it was very likely that Jia Dongxu discovered Yi Zhonghai's affair with Qin Huairu. Jia Dongxu was prepared to fight Yi Zhonghai to the death. In the end, Yi Zhonghai struck first, tampering with the machine Jia Dongxu was using and sending Jia Dongxu to reunite with his father.

Seeing that He Yuzhu was sitting silently, He Daqing nudged him with his foot and asked, "What are you thinking about?!"

He Yuzhu snapped out of his reverie and said, "I'm wondering if the Jia family will demand compensation from Yi Zhonghai now that they know the cause of Old Jia's death?!"

Xu Wude took a sip of his drink and said, "They'll definitely demand compensation. But Yi Zhonghai is locked up now. Who are they going to ask for it from?! Besides, this matter is also related to Jia Zhangshi. The problem now is that Jia Dongxu might not be able to handle it."

He Daqing chuckled and said, "Jia Dongxu isn't as fragile as you think. Besides, without Jia Zhangshi, the Jia family wouldn't cause any trouble." With that, He Daqing picked up the wine bottle and said, "Old Xu, a little more!"

He Yuzhu finished his bottle of soda and said, "Uncle Xu, I heard Da Mao wants to learn how to project movies from you?!"

Xu Wude nodded and said, "That's true. But he's still young. I didn't agree. Let's talk about it again in a few years!"

He Yuzhu continued, "Today when I went to the market, I overheard an old lady talking to a doctor from Peking Union Medical College Hospital. The old lady's son is a postman. He delivers mail every day by bicycle. He's been married for two years but still doesn't have children. So, he went to the hospital for a checkup. It turned out the woman was fine. But the man's scrotum was damaged from riding his bicycle all the time. Luckily, it was discovered in time, and he can still be saved. Uncle Xu, if Da Mao learns to project movies from you, he'll definitely have to take over your job. If he takes over, he'll have to go to the surrounding rural areas to project movies. He'll have to ride his bicycle dozens of miles back and forth. Da Mao will really suffer."
