The Courtyard House: The story begins with He Yuzhu beating up the White Widow.

Chapter 087 He Daqing and Liang Wanping Get Marriage Certificate

"Dad, Third Uncle's here!" Na Hu shouted as he ran into the courtyard. Na Jiu came out of the house, saw He Daqing carrying some things, and said with a smile, "Brother, you're here early!"

He Daqing immediately put on an awkward smile and said, "Brother, I'm here to pick up Wanping to complete the formalities."

"Come inside!" Na Jiu said, turning and going inside. He Daqing parked his bicycle and went inside with Na Hu.

"Sister-in-law, this is a small token of my appreciation! Please accept it!" He Daqing handed the gift to Liang Qingyue after entering the house.

Liang Qingyue took the things and said, "Daqing, I'm entrusting my cousin to you today. If I find out you've made her suffer, see how I deal with you!"

He Daqing hurriedly assured her, "Sister-in-law, don't worry! I will definitely not let Wanping be bullied."

"Sister!" Just then, Liang Wanping came out of the inner room carrying a small package.

Liang Qingyue sighed, put the things she was carrying on the table, and then walked to Liang Wanping, saying, "Wanping, live a good life with Daqing. If he bullies you or makes you suffer, come back. Your brother-in-law and I will stand up for you."

Na Jiu reminded her, "Wanping, when you return to your parents' home on the third day after your wedding, come here. This is your maternal home."

Upon hearing the words "family home," Liang Wanping could no longer hold back her tears, which instantly streamed down her face. Liang Qingyue reached out to wipe away Liang Wanping's tears, saying, "Today is a joyous day, don't cry!"

"Yes!" Liang Wanping nodded while wiping away her tears.

Na Jiu then said, "It's getting late, you should go with the Qing Dynasty!"

"Okay!" Liang Wanping responded and handed the small package in her hand to He Daqing.

He Daqing smiled as he took the package and said, "Brother, sister-in-law, I'm taking Wanping with me! I'll take her back to her parents' home on Friday. Don't forget to come to my place for dinner on Sunday."

"Okay!" Na Jiu replied. After seeing He Daqing and Liang Wanping off with his wife, Na Jiu said, "Wanping has found a good home, so you can rest assured!"

Liang Qingyue nodded and said, "Seeing Wanping get married reminds me of our daughter."

Na Jiu gave a wry smile and said, "Hearing you say that, I really feel a little sour inside."

Na Hu said, "Father, if you don't want my sister to get married, we'll find a son-in-law. It's not like we can't afford to support him."

"Hey?! You little rascal, you're not young, but your idea is pretty good." After saying that, Jiu looked around and asked, "Tiger, where's your sister?!"

The tiger replied, "He's reading in his room!"

Na Jiu said, "Go and call your sister, we're going to Quanjude for lunch today!"

"Yes!" the tiger responded and immediately ran towards his sister's room.

A little after nine o'clock in the morning, He Daqing was riding his bicycle with Liang Wanping when they arrived at the entrance of the Military Control Commission. Wang Xia and two other people were just coming out of the Military Control Commission.

He Daqing greeted him respectfully, "Hello, Director Wang!"

While He Yushui was playing in Wang Xia's office, she overheard He Daqing mentioning that he had brought his girlfriend to get their marriage certificate today. Although Wang Xia wasn't entirely satisfied with He Daqing's actions, it was ultimately their family matter, and she couldn't interfere too much. At most, she would take better care of He Yuzhu and his sister in the future. Wang Xia nodded slightly and said, "Turn left as you enter; the second room is where you get your marriage certificate. Go in quickly!" With that, Wang Xia led her people away.

He Daqing hesitated for a few seconds while watching Wang Xia's back before coming to his senses and leading Liang Wanping into the gate of the Military Control Commission.

Wang Xia helped with directions, and since they arrived at the perfect time—no one was ahead of them in line—they didn't need to queue. Upon entering, He Daqing handed the prepared documents to the marriage certificate clerk. The clerk carefully checked everything, and after confirming everything was in order, produced two marriage certificates the size of award certificates, wrote the couple's names and dates of birth on them, and then handed the certificates to He Daqing and Liang Wanping: "Congratulations on your marriage!"

He Daqing handed the marriage certificate to Liang Wanping, then pulled a handful of candy from his bag and placed it on the table, saying, "Comrade, share in the joy!"

As He Daqing and Liang Wanping walked out of the place where they had registered their marriage, they saw He Yushui's head peeking out from behind the hanging flower gate, looking in their direction. He Daqing waved and called out, "Yushui, come here!"

He Yushui walked out of the hanging flower gate hesitantly and asked, "Father, have you finished the formalities?!"

He Daqing nodded and said, "It's all taken care of!" Then he asked, "Are you coming back with us now, or staying here?"

He Yushui thought for a moment and said, "I'll stay here and wait for my brother to get off work so we can go back together."

"Okay! Then be careful and don't wander off." After saying that, He Daqing grabbed a handful of candy from his bag and put it in He Yushui's pocket, saying, "Then your Aunt Liang and I will be going now!"

"Oh!" He Yushui watched He Daqing and Liang Wanping walk out of the Military Control Commission, then turned and ran back to the canteen.

A little after 2 p.m., He Yuzhu walked into Wang Xia's office carrying a basket of vegetables.

When Wang Xia saw He Yuzhu arrive, she smiled and asked, "Zhuzi, why aren't you going back yet?!"

He Yuzhu placed the basket he was carrying on Wang Xia's desk and said, "Aunt Wang, the vegetables in my greenhouse are all ripe. I didn't calculate it well this time; I planted a little too many cucumbers, tomatoes, and eggplants. We can't possibly finish them all in the cafeteria every day. I was thinking, should we give them out as a bonus?"

Wang Xia glanced at the vegetables in the basket and asked, "Are these what's left over from today?!"

He Yuzhu replied, "This is only part of it. There are two more baskets in the kitchen."

Wang Xia thought for a moment and said, "Wait here for me for a while, I'll go and discuss it with your Uncle Wu."

"Oh!" He Yuzhu responded, watching He Yuzhu leave the office, then took out a piece of candy, unwrapped it, and put it in his mouth.

Not long after, Wang Xia returned. She said, "Zhu Zi, take this basket of vegetables to the canteen and have Chef Xu weigh out the rest. One portion per person. From now on, any extra vegetables we have each day, besides being consumed internally, will also be regularly delivered to the families of martyrs and soldiers in our jurisdiction."

"Hey! I'll take it back and have Grandpa Xu weigh it." With that, He Yuzhu picked up the basket and ran out of Wang Xia's office.

A little after 3 p.m., He Yuzhu rode his bicycle home from get off work with He Yushui as a passenger. Just as He Yuzhu lifted the bicycle over the threshold, Yang Ruihua's voice rang out: "Zhuzi, you're off work?! Your job must be really easy!"

He Yuzhu said, "No job is inherently superior or inferior. We're all serving everyone. Aunt Yang, you're the liaison officer for the compound, your mindset isn't good enough! You need to study harder in the future."
