"Yes! It's all thanks to that kid He Yuzhu!" Zhang Qiang then recounted the most telling parts of the story to Wang Xia. After listening to Zhang Qiang's account, Wang Xia laughed and said, "No wonder you wanted Zhuzi to go to your police station; you saw his talent!"

Zhang Qiang sighed and said, "The king is interested, but the goddess is indifferent. It's a one-sided affair. He Yuzhu doesn't even look at us."

Wang Xia sighed and said, "I'll talk to He Yuzhu about this sometime." Then she asked, "He Yuzhu has helped you so many times. Why haven't you done anything to show your appreciation?!"

Zhang Qiang said, "Yes, I have! I've already applied for an award for him from above."

"That's more like it!" Wang Xia muttered, then said, "I have to go now. I won't talk to you anymore."

Thanks to everyone's efforts, the National Day holiday was finally over without any major incidents. He Yuzhu was also relieved of his patrol duties. With some free time, He Yuzhu decided to find something to do. He originally wanted to go fishing. However, remembering that the river repairs had been done recently, with nets being pulled into all the rivers inside and outside the city, most of the big fish had been caught, and even those that escaped were extremely cunning. Catching them would be virtually impossible. Hunting seemed to be the only option left.

Having made up his mind, He Yuzhu found a container of outdoor gear in his spatial storage. Inside, he found a pulley-operated composite bow that met his requirements. After assembling the bow according to the instructions, a satisfied smile appeared on He Yuzhu's face. It wasn't that He Yuzhu didn't have weapons in his spatial storage, but rather that he didn't want to cause himself trouble. Although the composite bow's design was somewhat futuristic, He Yuzhu could still fool people if they asked. Using a gun, however, wouldn't be so easy to deceive.

Early in the morning, He Yuzhu rushed to the Military Control Commission, first going to the market to buy the vegetables needed for the canteen that day. Then He Yuzhu found Wang Xia: "Aunt Wang, could you please write me a letter of introduction? I'd like to go for a walk outside the city."

Wang Xia asked curiously, "Zhu Zi, why do you suddenly want to go outside the city?!"

He Yuzhu said, "So, I got someone to get me a bow. I'm thinking of going into the mountains to try my luck."

Wang Xia asked, "Are you going alone?!"

He Yuzhu said, "And there are a few hunters from Mentougou."

Wang Xia took out a special notepad for writing letters of introduction, took one and handed it to He Yuzhu, saying, "Be careful. Run immediately if there's any danger!"

"Aunt Wang, don't worry! I know what I'm doing! I'll definitely be back before dark." With that, He Yuzhu scurried out of Wang Xia's office.

Autumn had arrived in Beijing by then. The animals in the mountains were also beginning to prepare for winter. After leaving the Military Control Commission, He Yuzhu rode his bicycle straight out of the city.

After leaving the city, He Yuzhu found a secluded spot, stored his bicycle in his spatial storage, and then retrieved an electric sidecar motorcycle from there. He Yuzhu rode the motorcycle straight to Mentougou. The roads now were far more difficult than those in later generations. A little after ten o'clock in the morning, He Yuzhu finally reached the foot of the mountain. He Yuzhu used his divine sense to scan the surroundings, confirming that no one was around. He immediately stored the sidecar motorcycle in his spatial storage, then took out his composite bow and entered the mountain.

The area around the mountain was probably frequented by people, so there weren't many animals to be seen. After walking for over an hour, He Yuzhu finally spotted some animal tracks. However, they weren't large animals, just some rabbits or pheasants. Adhering to the concept of sustainable development, He Yuzhu didn't hunt them all, but selectively shot a few. Around noon, He Yuzhu decided to find a place to rest and eat something. Suddenly, his divine sense detected many animals drinking water by the stream ahead. Without hesitation, He Yuzhu walked forward, intending to join the fun.

He Yuzhu quickly arrived behind a rock about fifty meters from the stream. He saw the animals drinking water without any precautions. After hesitating for a few seconds, He Yuzhu decided to help a few animals pass on. So, He Yuzhu nocked an arrow, aimed at a stag, and released it. The arrow flew out and, in the blink of an eye, pierced the stag's neck. The stag didn't struggle at all and fell to the ground. He Yuzhu then fired several more arrows. However, this time his luck wasn't good. The first few arrows missed. The last arrow did hit something, but it struck a bison in the rump. Aroused by the pain, the bison stopped running and immediately turned its head and charged at He Yuzhu. He Yuzhu immediately dodged to the side, nocked another arrow, aimed at the bison, and fired several more. Two arrows hit the bison's legs, and three arrows hit its neck. The bison struggled and charged to a spot not far from He Yuzhu, but could no longer hold on and collapsed to the ground.

He Yuzhu waited a few minutes and, seeing that the bison remained motionless, confirmed that it was truly dead. He Yuzhu went over and retrieved all the arrows he had shot. Then he took out a dagger and drained the bison's blood. Next, he cut off the deer antlers and put the deer blood into a basin. Finally, He Yuzhu stored the bison and deer in his spatial storage.

After finishing his work, He Yuzhu didn't plan to stay in the mountains any longer and headed back down the road. A little after 1:30 PM, He Yuzhu finally emerged from the mountains. Just as he reached the highway and was about to take out his sidecar motorcycle, a long-distance bus arrived. He Yuzhu waved, and the bus stopped in front of him. He Yuzhu boarded, bought a ticket, and found a window seat. The smell on long-distance buses in those days was anything but pleasant. The combined odors in the carriage were incredibly overpowering.

A little after 3 p.m., the long-distance bus pulled into its final stop. He Yuzhu got off, found a secluded courtyard, and took his bicycle out of his spatial storage. He then used his divine sense to skin the deer and cow, dividing the meat into portions according to his own preference. He then packed half a deer and half a cow into a burlap sack. He secured the sack full of meat to the back of his bicycle and rode towards the neighborhood office.

"Oh?! Zhu Zi, what brings you here at this hour?!" Grandpa Han, who was sunbathing at the door, asked with a smile when He Yuzhu suddenly appeared in front of him.

He Yuzhu said with a smile, "I got some good stuff, so I'm sharing it with everyone."

Grandpa Han asked curiously, "What is that?!" Then, Grandpa Han looked at the things on the back seat of He Yuzhu's bicycle and asked, "Zhuzi, what's that on the back table of your bicycle?!"

He Yuzhu said, "I went hunting with some people."
