The Courtyard House: The story begins with He Yuzhu beating up the White Widow.

"Third brother's wife, you look so rushed, what happened?!" Matchmaker Li casually stuffed the money into the inner pocket of her clothes.

"Sister-in-law, do you still remember the matchmaker you arranged for the Jia family at No. 95 Nanluoguxiang?!"

Matchmaker Li replied with a smile, "I remember! How could I not remember?!" Then she asked, "What's wrong?!"

"What else?! Sister-in-law, something's happened! The woman you introduced to the Jia family had an affair with a man from their village before she even got married, and she got pregnant. Jia Dongxu knocked for a while, then, probably tired, stopped and roared, "Matchmaker Li! I know you're in there! Come out here! You heartless matchmaker who takes bribes! You went to the countryside and found a pregnant woman, pretending she was a virgin, to marry me off! Now I'm wearing a huge green hat! Come out here! If you don't, I'll burn your house down!" As he spoke, Jia Dongxu noticed a pile of firewood by the door. He picked up a thinner piece, poured the remaining wine from the bottle onto it, took out a match, lit the fire, and roared again, "Matchmaker Li! I'll count to three! If you don't come out, I'll set it on fire!"

Seeing this, the neighbors, no longer waiting to watch the spectacle, stepped forward to persuade Jia Dongxu to stop. Unfortunately, Jia Dongxu, already somewhat carried away, ignored their advice and threw the burning firewood he was holding into the woodpile belonging to Matchmaker Li.

"Fire!" someone shouted. Then, Li the Matchmaker's neighbors grabbed basins from their homes and started filling them with water to fight the fire. Luckily, the neighbors reacted quickly, and the fire was extinguished almost immediately. Therefore, no irreparable consequences occurred.

The old man in charge of the courtyard pulled Jia Dongxu aside and said, "Young man, can't you talk things out? Why do you have to be like this?!"

Suddenly, without warning, Jia Dongxu burst into tears, unconcerned about embarrassing himself or ruining his reputation. He recounted the entire incident to everyone in Matchmaker Li's courtyard. Several people who already disliked Matchmaker Li seized the opportunity to say, "That Li woman is so heartless! She's ruined such a perfectly good young man!"
