Online Game: Me, with Unparalleled Comprehension

Chapter 297 Game Elites, Game Intelligence

After walking for a few more minutes, a huge building came into view at the end of the road.

He stopped and looked up.

The building was several times larger than the convention center he had seen in the city before, with a gray exterior, square and without any superfluous decorations.

There were several gates, and soldiers with guns stood at each gate.

Several antennas and a few circular devices of unknown purpose were erected on the roof.

Wu Feng withdrew his gaze and continued walking forward.

As he walked to the gate, two soldiers glanced at him and then looked him over.

"Hello, please show your work ID," one of them said.

Just as Wu Feng was about to speak, a young man in military uniform quickly stepped forward.

"This must be Comrade Wu Feng? Captain Li asked me to wait for you here."

He nodded to Wu Feng, then turned to the two soldiers. "He's new here; he hasn't gotten his work permit yet. Captain Li said I'll take him in."

The two soldiers nodded and made way.

"Follow me." The young man led the way.

Wu Feng followed behind and walked through the gate.

It's bigger inside than it looks from the outside. The corridors are wide enough for four or five people to walk side by side.

Fluorescent lights were installed on the ceiling, illuminating the entire corridor.

On both sides were rows of tightly closed doors, each with a sign bearing various numbers and names.

The young man led him through several corridors, took two elevators, and finally stopped in front of a double door.

"This is it." The young man pushed open the door and stepped aside to make way.

Wu Feng went inside.

Inside is a large conference hall that can seat dozens of people.

Directly in front of you is a huge multimedia screen, and below the screen is a podium.

Two long tables were placed in the center of the conference hall, one on the left and one on the right.

Seven or eight people were sitting at the table to the right: researchers in white lab coats, soldiers in military uniforms, and several elderly men in Zhongshan suits, talking in hushed tones.

Nine people, dressed in casual clothes, were sitting at the table on the left. They were men and women, and all looked to be between twenty and thirty years old.

Li Dahu was standing by the table on the left. When he saw Wu Feng come in, he quickly went to greet him.

"You're here." He patted Wu Feng on the shoulder and led him to the table on the left. "Come on, sit here."

He pointed to an empty seat in the middle of the table.

Wu Feng walked over and sat down.

The people around him all turned to look at him.

Their gazes held curiosity, scrutiny, and a few young people's eyes clearly showed admiration.

A young man in a gray jacket stared at him for several seconds, his lips moved as if he wanted to say something but then he didn't.

A girl sitting opposite him was more direct. She looked him up and down and muttered under her breath, "Is this the martial arts champion?"

Wu Feng glanced at her but didn't say anything.

Li Dahu sat down next to him and lowered his voice, saying, "These are all players we found in the game, and they're all quite skilled. Professor Zhang will explain the situation later, so listen to him first."

Wu Feng nodded.

At that moment, the side door next to the podium opened, and an elderly man in a white coat came out.

His hair was gray, his face had few wrinkles, he was in good spirits, and he walked at a moderate pace.

Holding a stack of documents, he walked up to the podium, placed the documents on the table, and looked up at the people sitting below.

"Welcome to the official game strategy team." He began, his voice not loud but clear. "I am Zhang Tianyong, you can call me Professor Zhang, and I am in charge of this project."

He glanced at the ten people at the table to his left, then at the others at the table to his right, and continued, "You are all elites we recruited from the game. First, please come up and introduce yourselves."

After he finished speaking, he stepped back to the side of the podium and looked towards the table on his left.

A young man sitting at the front row of the table on the left stood up and walked onto the podium.

He was wearing a black tracksuit, not very tall, but very strong. Standing on the podium, he nodded to the people below.

"Game name: Iron Hand. Sect: Shaolin. Main martial art: Vajra Subduing Demon Palm, currently at the perfect level."

After he finished speaking, he walked back to his seat.

Next was the second one, a girl with a ponytail.

"Game name: Willow Leaf. Sect: Emei. Main martial art: Emei Swordplay, currently at the perfect level."

The third one was a young man wearing glasses, who looked very polite.

"Game name: Feiyun. Sect: Quanzhen Sect. Main martial art: Quanzhen Swordplay, currently at the perfect level."

One after another, they went on stage.

After listening, Wu Feng roughly understood the situation.

Most of these nine people were at the Perfection Realm, and two of them had reached the Great Perfection in their main martial arts.

Their strength is indeed formidable; they are among the top players.

It was his turn.

Wu Feng stood up and walked onto the podium.

He stood on the stage, his gaze sweeping over the people sitting below.

Game Name: Wu Changfeng. Faction: Wudang Mountain.

He paused for a moment, then added another sentence.

After saying that, he didn't say anything more, turned around and went back to his seat.

The people below exchanged glances, their eyes filled with surprise.

"That's all?" the young man in the gray jacket muttered under his breath.

"From Wudang Mountain? I don't think I've ever heard of such a person from Wudang Mountain?" someone next to him whispered.

The girl sitting opposite him didn't say anything, but her eyes were fixed on him.

Professor Zhang walked up to the podium and coughed lightly.

"You're all here to participate in game guides and learn about the real gameplay. So let's get straight to the point."

He paused, then looked at the multimedia screen on the right. "Let me give you a brief overview of the intelligence we currently possess, as well as game intelligence from various countries."

As soon as he finished speaking, the screen lit up.

The first slide that appeared on the screen was a world map, covered with dozens of red dots.

Professor Zhang picked up the remote control on the table, pointed to the red dots on the map, and said, "These red dots mark the locations of the countries and regions where this company's games are located, as far as we know."

He pressed a button on the remote control, and the PowerPoint presentation switched to the next page.

It was a table listing the names of several major countries, followed by a string of numbers.

"According to our intelligence, this company's games are currently available in at least 47 countries and regions worldwide," Professor Zhang said. "Each region has a different game background, era, and cultural context. But they all have one thing in common—"

He paused, his gaze sweeping over the people sitting below.

"These abilities from the game can all be brought into reality."

The conference room fell silent for a moment.

Professor Zhang pressed a button on the remote control, and the PPT switched to the next page.

This is a set of comparative data; the left side shows the data from three months ago, and the right side shows the data from now.

"This is a set of data from our tracking and investigation," Professor Zhang said. "The average physical fitness of gamers worldwide has improved by about 30% compared to three months ago. And this rate of improvement is accelerating."

He put down the remote control, placed his hands on the podium, and looked down at the people below.

"All of you here are among the best in this game. But you must understand that your opponents are not just the NPCs in the game."

He pointed to the world map on the screen.

"And players from these forty-seven countries and regions."
