Li Weiguo stood at the gate of the courtyard, his forehead covered in sweat.

The encrypted communicator in his hand was still warm, but his heart had turned cold.

"Old Lin." He walked quickly to Lin Jianguo, who was holding Chu Chen, and said in a very low voice, "It's Number One's phone call."

Chu Chen, nestled in Lin Jianguo's arms, stirred, his little head twitching as if he were about to fall asleep.

"He said that the videotape... something happened to it," Li Weiguo said with difficulty.

"Something happened?" Lin Jianguo was taken aback and tightened his grip on his grandson.

"Yes." Li Weiguo nodded, his face grim. "It's been blocked. Several families in Beijing have joined forces and used their connections to cut off all distribution channels."

"A bunch of daredevils," Chu Chen muttered, without even opening his eyes.

He stretched out a small hand from Lin Jianguo's arms and waved it, "Give me the phone."

Li Weiguo quickly handed over the communicator and brought it to Chu Chen's lips.

"Old man," Chu Chen yawned, his voice heavy with sleepiness, "the toys I gave away were snatched away halfway there, and I'm not happy about it."

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, followed by a hurried and indistinct voice. Li Weiguo was close by and could only make out the words "handle immediately" and "highest level".

"I'll give you ten minutes," Chu Chen interrupted him impatiently.

"If I don't see the trailer for my 'movie' on the 7 PM news tonight, I'm getting a new toy."

"I think your office building looks pretty interesting. I wonder how sturdy it is."

After saying that, he pouted and said, "I'm hanging up. You're disturbing my sleep."

Li Weiguo's hand trembled, and he almost threw the communicator away.

He stiffly pressed the end button, feeling his back was already soaked with sweat.

The courtyard was quiet.

The group of "students" who were eating cornbread all kept their heads down, afraid of being noticed by that little devil.

Less than ten minutes later, Li Weiguo's communicator rang again.

He glanced at the caller ID and hurriedly answered the call.

"Yes, yes... I understand, I guarantee I'll complete the mission!"

After hanging up the phone, the look in Li Weiguo's eyes when he looked at Chu Chen could no longer be described as mere awe.

"Advisor Chu... has it sorted out." His voice was hoarse. "Number One personally gave the order. In fifteen minutes, Beijing TV will broadcast a 'special report,' the content of which is... the content of the videotape, with the title 'Severely Crack Down on Feudal Superstition Fraud Gangs.'"

"Oh," Chu Chen responded, seemingly unsurprised by the result.

He struggled to slide off Lin Jianguo's arms and stretched.

"Grandpa, I'm hungry."

Lin Jianguo quickly replied, "Want some more braised pork? I'll have Granny Liu make you another bowl."

"I'm not eating meat anymore." Chu Chen shook his head, pointing to the few bare vegetable patches in the corner of the yard. "I want to eat vegetables, fresh ones."

"This..." Lin Jianguo looked troubled. "The soil in this garden is no good. It's been growing for several years and nothing has come up. Let's go buy some from outside."

"Too slow," Chu Chen muttered.

He looked at the few patches of wasteland, his eyes darting around, as if he had thought of something amusing.

"Zhou Tian!"

"Hey! Master Chen! Your humble servant is here!" Zhou Tian stuffed half a cornbread into his mouth and ran over excitedly.

"Go, get out all the black mud left over from refining pills the day before yesterday, and the water left over from bathing in that big vat."

Zhou Tian was taken aback.

Black mud? Bath water?

He thought of the female soldier Zhuque who had been cured, and the vat of foul-smelling black liquid, and his stomach churned with acid.

"Master Chen, that stuff... stinks." Zhou Tian said with a bitter face.

"Just go when I tell you to, stop talking nonsense." Chu Chen kicked him.

Zhou Tian dared not say another word and immediately called to the group of "trainees" from the wood-chopping team, and they walked in a grand procession towards the backyard.

Soon, an indescribable stench wafted from the direction of the dry well in the backyard.

Wu De and Zhao Tiansha, those martial arts masters, turned pale from the fumes and almost vomited up the porridge they had drunk that morning.

Chu Chen acted as if he hadn't smelled it, and had people carry buckets of the "fertilizer" that emitted a strong stench to the edge of the vegetable garden.

"Water it," Chu Chen ordered, pointing to the bare land.

The "trainees" looked disgusted, pinched their noses, and reluctantly splashed the black liquid onto the ground.

A bizarre scene unfolded.

The black liquid, upon contact with the parched earth, reacted like hot oil meeting cold water, sizzling and releasing a plume of white smoke.

Immediately afterwards, a new green shoot emerged from the soil, visible to the naked eye.

Then came the second stroke, the third stroke...

"Oh My God……"

"It...it's sprouted?"

Everyone was stunned.

This isn't watering; it's like fast-forwarding!

The tender shoots grew wildly at a rate that defied the laws of nature, sprouting, growing leaves, and flowering...

Just one night passed.

The next morning, when Lin Jianguo opened the door, he was stunned by the sight before him.

The once barren vegetable garden has now been transformed into a vibrant green ocean.

The cabbages, as big as washbasins, were plump and fresh, with dewdrops still clinging to their leaves.

Cucumbers as thick as an arm, with blossoms and thorns at the top, hang straight up on the vine.

The tomatoes were as red as agate, radiating an enticing sheen.

The stench of yesterday was gone from the entire courtyard; in its place came a refreshing fragrance that invigorated the senses. Just one breath made one feel invigorated.

"A miracle... a divine intervention!" Lin Jianguo murmured to himself.

He walked over, carefully broke off a cabbage leaf, and put it in his mouth.

It is sweet, crisp, and melts in your mouth.

A warm current slid down his throat into his abdomen, instantly spreading to his limbs and bones.

Lin Jianguo felt a sense of lightness throughout his body. His lower back, which had been a little sore a few days ago, was instantly pain-free, and his legs and feet felt exceptionally strong.

He even had an urge to perform a set of military boxing techniques he had practiced in his youth right there on the spot.

"This...this dish..." He was so excited that he could hardly speak.

Zhou Tian's mouth was already watering. Taking advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention, he quietly slipped to the cucumber trellis, quickly picked one, and hid it in his sleeve.

He ran to the back of the woodshed and eagerly took a big bite.

"Snap!"

Crisp and refreshing, bursting with juice.

A surge of energy, purer than any delicacy he had ever tasted, exploded within his body in an instant.

He felt a barrier that had always existed inside him shatter with a "crack".

The martial arts bottleneck that had plagued him for three whole years was broken through by a cucumber!

Zhou Tian was stunned.

He stared blankly at the remaining half of the cucumber in his hand, then looked at the small figure in the distance being held in Lin Jianguo's arms, yawning. His legs went weak, and he almost knelt down.

This doesn't look like a cucumber!

This is a walking elixir of immortality! It's an edible experience pack!

He scrambled to Chu Chen's feet and knelt down with a thud.

"Master Chen!" He held up the half cucumber in his hand, his voice filled with sobs and fervor.

"This...this cabbage! It's so cool!"

The people in the courtyard were looking at him like he was an idiot.

Chu Chen nodded in satisfaction, as if he was pleased with the assessment.

He jumped down from Lin Jianguo's arms and wobbled to the edge of the vegetable garden.

He casually picked up a piece of wood left over from chopping firewood, and then took a marker from Zhou Tian's pocket.

He wrote a few lines of text crookedly on the wooden board.

"Special Divine Dish from Qianlongju"

"Cabbage, ten thousand a head."

"Cucumbers, ten thousand each."

"No credit allowed, buy it or not."

After he finished writing, he stuffed the wooden board into Zhou Tian's arms.

"Go, hang it at the main gate."

"Huh?" Zhou Tian and Lin Jianguo exclaimed in surprise at the same time.

"Chen'er, this... this is ten thousand yuan a piece, isn't that too expensive?" Lin Jianguo exclaimed, speechless. "Who would buy that?"

Chu Chen licked his lips, looked at the garden full of treasures, and grinned mischievously.

"Grandpa, you just wait and see."

"I've dug this fishpond, so I don't have to worry about the fish jumping in on their own."
