boom!

In the endless darkness, a bolt of lightning ripped across the sky.

It illuminated the darkness in an instant, and also awakened Chen Xi.

"Where is this?"

This was the first thing Chen Xi said after opening her eyes.

He is currently in a very strange state, without a body, only a consciousness.

Chen Xi felt that he was a consciousness, a consciousness in this darkness.

"Is it still inside that toad's belly?"

"Where are Yang Wei and the others?"

Chen Xi couldn't feel herself opening her mouth, but she could definitely speak.

However, these words were essentially a soliloquy, and no one else could hear them except him. He didn't know what was going on or whether he was alive or dead; in short, he was the only person there.

And so, after an unknown amount of time, the second bolt of lightning struck.

The world, which had been pitch black, was once again illuminated by a fleeting glimmer of light.

In that brief moment of light, Chen Xi saw a black tower!

A black tower composed of elements reminiscent of traditional Chinese ink paintings.

Chen Xi concluded that he was still inside the toad's belly.

Although this black tower is exactly the same as the black tower I have seen in terms of shape and texture, it is too short!

Chen Xi used himself as a reference point for comparison, and this black tower was only slightly taller than him!

That is, about two meters.

Chen Xi knew that the Black Tower was the height of a mountain peak, but the Black Tower in front of him was ridiculously short!

The brief light disappeared, and the world was plunged into darkness once again.

It was so dark that Chen Xi couldn't tell whether her eyes were open or closed.

It's amazing how time seems to pass here; Chen Xi has no sense of it.

And so, after an unknown amount of time, the third bolt of lightning struck.

It was still a fleeting glimmer of light.

The scene is still the Black Tower, but it's a bit taller, and nothing else.

Then came the familiar darkness again.

boom!

The fourth bolt of lightning struck.

The Black Tower continued to grow taller, reaching approximately 10 meters.

And so, darkness and lightning alternated.

The black tower grew taller slowly, like bamboo.

Finally, when the 50th lightning strike occurred, it had grown to the height of a mountain that Chen Xi was now familiar with.

......

boom!

The 51th lightning strike.

The image still shows the Black Tower.

But this time it wasn't the previous Black Tower; another Black Tower appeared out of nowhere!

The Black Tower from before has become just a backdrop.

Unlike before, this black tower is enormous!

If I had to describe its size, it would be planet-sized!

boom!

The 52th lightning strike.

Things suddenly reversed; the giant black tower was smaller than the last lightning strike.

And in the following lightning, it continued to shrink!

......

boom!

The 176th lightning strike.

The giant black tower grew to the size of a mountain, the same as the original black tower.

boom!

The 177th lightning strike.

The scene before my eyes has changed. The Black Tower still exists, but now it has become a backdrop!

A familiar giant dragon appeared in Chen Xi's sight!

"This is......"

"Dragon God!"

After a moment of confusion, Chen Xi realized that what she was seeing now must be a reincarnation from a very, very long time ago!

If each lightning bolt represents a cycle of reincarnation.

The Dragon God appeared during the 177th cycle of reincarnation!

This answer was far from what Chen Xi had expected; he had always thought that the Dragon God appeared in the first few cycles of reincarnation.

Soon, darkness filled the surroundings again.

Unfortunately, these image-like things are very fragmented. They can't even be connected or made whole, let alone connected. So naturally, neither the myriad phenomena of the universe nor the person who drew the dragon god appears here.

Two things are worth mentioning.

First, the size of the Black Tower!

Everyone assumed the Black Tower was the size of a mountain peak, though its internal self-contained space was another matter entirely.

But now it seems that it could be big or small.

Secondly, in the 177th lightning strike, which is the cycle in which the Dragon God appeared, the original black tower, the one that had been serving as a background element, disappeared!

Although Chen Xi had lost his sense of time, he still realized that this darkness seemed to have lasted quite a while.

The 178th lightning bolt failed to strike for a long time.

The scene resembled a desolate universe, perpetually shrouded in darkness.

I don't know how much time passed like that.

Chen Xi suddenly heard several chattering sounds in her ear.

Some of these sounds were familiar, some were noisy, and some were heartwarming.

"Boss!"

"Chen Xi x2!"

"king!"

Yang Wei, Chen Changsheng, Yan Mingliang, and Li Yuanbao!

Suddenly, Chen Xi remembered the names of these four people and opened his eyes as if he had risen from the dead.

Yang Wei was so shocked that he exclaimed "Holy crap!" on the spot.

"I......"

"I'm back?"

Chen Xi let out an incredulous murmur, her head feeling inexplicably dizzy, as if she had just woken up from a very long dream.

He looked down at his palm, which had a smooth and lustrous color.

Seven-colored glass body...

This is not a dream!

"Chen Xi, you're finally awake! You scared us half to death."

"If you keep sleeping like this, I'm afraid Liang Ge and I will have to go down and keep you company!"

The author expressed concern.

"What happened after that?"

"How long did I sleep?"

Faced with Chen Xi's eagerness, the author scratched his head:

"I don't know what happened after that, but the world was completely dark, and when I opened my eyes I was outside."

"The same goes for the other three; only you haven't woken up yet."

"But you didn't sleep for long, only five minutes."

Five minutes?

I don't know how long I was in the dark, but it couldn't have been only 5 minutes, could it?

It truly is a dream spanning a thousand years...

But why am I the only one who can see those things?

And it felt like reading a memoir...

Could it be that I existed during the first lightning strike, or even before that?

He then shook his head, as if to refresh himself, and put aside these undisputed guesses, what were those two black towers?

Regardless of where the images Chen Xi had seen came from, the only thing he could confirm was that those scenes must have actually happened.

"I thought about the matter concerning the table of contents chapter carefully after I came out."

"That doesn't mean our story has ended, but rather that the story of that world has ended."

"But we were in the world at that time, so I put myself into it."

"That's roughly the idea. After all, I only understood the information implicitly, and the fact that I'm still alive is the best explanation."

The author nodded as he spoke, expressing strong approval of his conclusions.

As I was clicking, something suddenly occurred to me:

"Oh, right, there's one more minor flaw, I'm not sure if it counts as a problem."

"When the final darkness enveloped us, I discovered that a little ink was missing."

"Is a little ink missing?"

Chen Xi and the other three did not understand the meaning of the author's sentence.

The author stroked his chin, and after organizing his thoughts, he said:

"The gist is that a drop of ink was missing from what made up that world, or rather..."

"A drop of ink has left that world!"

(The animated comic has started updating. Those who are interested can follow it. Previously, it was said that the main character's appearance was suspected of plagiarism, but now they have changed the head.)
