Terrible news! My deskmate's first chapter is gone!

Deletion is completely invisible and imperceptible when no force is used.

Especially when it's stationary, it's as if no one exists at all.

After all, it deleted its own existence, leaving itself in a Schrödinger state that was between existence and non-existence!

"Are those two guys after that well?"

This was the only possibility Chen Xi could think of.

After all, the Altar of Fire is famous for this thing. Chen Xi has never been to the Altar of Fire, so he has never seen the well. This historical footage is a good opportunity to see it.

This time, the "protagonists" are naturally the snake man and deletion.

Chen Xi's gaze followed the snake-man and the unseen deletion.

The softened lava here had no effect on the two of them; they walked on the ground as if it were flat ground.

Although Chen Xi had never been to the Altar of Blazing Fire, he knew a little about the situation there.

First, there is also a kind of creature here similar to the ice crystal creatures of the Frozen City, called the Fire Spirit Creatures, which are actually the dangers of this safe zone.

They are all hidden beneath the lava, occasionally popping out like clowns.

Secondly, apart from fire spirits, no other life form can permanently reside here.

The reason is simple: to stand on the softened lava beneath your feet, you need to constantly release your mental energy to maintain it. This maintenance is strange; it doesn't mean the stronger the energy, the longer it lasts.

It is equality.

People at different stages need to invest more mental energy to maintain their position above the softened magma.

Whether it's the transcendental level of Tier I, II, or III, or even the sainthood, the longest they can maintain is the same: only ten days.

Even when you reach the prototype plate in that core area, your psychic power will begin to dissipate as soon as you step into it.

If you fly, the consumption of psychic energy will double.

The creatures beneath the softened magma are a classic example of taking advantage of your weakness. When your mental energy is almost depleted or you're about to return, they will attack you, trying to leave you there forever.

The magic circle they mentioned, which they claimed was located beneath the softened magma, would require them to actively descend, consuming a significant amount of mental energy and enduring attacks from the fire monsters.

Finally, the Flame Altar contained information that was only beneficial to Chen Xi.

That is the depth of the Flame Altar. It is said that no creature can reach its bottom, not even a fire creature. Although Chen Xi has infinite mental power, in a sense, he has only obtained the same conditions for descending as a fire creature.

Even the local fire creatures couldn't do it, which means there must be some unknown dangers hidden deep within the soft magma!

It can be said that the Altar of Fire is more dangerous than the Frozen City.

"I wonder if this historical footage will allow me to see the deepest secrets?"

Chen Xi murmured, her gaze continuing to follow them.

The two men's route is forward rather than downward, so they may not have that opportunity.

"Um?"

By chance, Chen Xi made an unexpected discovery.

There are two traces on the soft lava at this moment. One is an ever-spreading S-shaped curve, which is the trace of the snake-man crawling on the ground. Its small feet were cut off a long time ago, so there are no footprints.

I wonder if this will affect its strength?

But that mark isn't the point; the point is another one.

Small dots.

One small dot after another appears beside the curve – these are the footprints of deletion!

Although deletion erases one's own existence, it still retains its form when exerting force, it's just not visible.

The Fiery Altar, a safe zone, was forced to become visible due to its unique ability to absorb psychic energy, but unfortunately, it only left behind a series of small, round footprints.

Furthermore, due to the nature of deletion, those little dots disappear very quickly; often, the first little dot disappears before the second one even appears.

"It seems that the main focus this time is the authority of these two different factions. Hopefully, we can find a way to pass through the time tunnel from here."

Chen Xi murmured, her gaze shifting forward once more.

His perspective is fixed, like a pair of eyes pressed into the sky, at most only able to turn around.

The two traveled safely, and Chen Xi did not see any fire creatures jump out of the soft lava below to attack.

Unlike the ice crystal creatures of the Frozen City, the fire creatures will attack on their own initiative, and they always will, except that this happened on the way back.

All creatures, regardless of strength, are welcome to enter.

Any creature that tries to leave, take a bite of my elbow!

And so, after an unknown amount of time, the Snake Man and the Deletion finally arrived at their final destination.

After logging into the prototype section, Chen Xi saw red flames erupting in the distance, resembling a volcanic eruption.

"As expected, their purpose is the altar."

The altar is the well that breathes fire and allows for equivalent exchange.

"It seems that we can learn the rules of equivalent exchange from them."

Chen Xi said with nine-tenths certainty, "If you've reached the level of power and still have to exchange it for a stone, then you've really wasted your life!"

As expected, the snake-man and the deletion, just as Chen Xi had guessed, stopped in front of the well.

Although the word "well" is used to describe the altar, it is at most just that they look somewhat similar in appearance.

From Chen Xi's perspective, the bottom of this well was a bottomless abyss, pitch black as ink, and even the moment the red flames erupted did not illuminate anything.

It was as if everything outside the flames was black, and there was no difference between being illuminated and not being illuminated.

At this moment, the snake-man made a gesture that resembled taking something out, and Chen Xi immediately became extremely alert.

He wanted to see what this valuable equivalent in the eyes of the altar was!
