Chinese Superman

Chapter 1 He is Nezha

Earth 404, Xia Kingdom.

In North China, the autumn nights are already bitterly cold.

Wangjia'ao is nestled in the folds of the mountains, a remote and sparsely populated area. The younger generation has long since flowed into the concrete jungle of the city, leaving only a few middle-aged and elderly people who love the land, like old tree roots in the ground, stubbornly guarding this homeland.

In the stillness of the night, only the wind whispers through the withered grass, like the earth snoring in its slumber.

Wang Tiezhu and his wife Zhang Xiulan had just finished doing masonry work in a neighboring village and were hurrying home, their steps uneven and their hands flashlights in hand.

The beam of the flashlight pierced the thick darkness, barely illuminating the uneven dirt road beneath our feet.

"Have you heard?" Zhang Xiulan rubbed her rough, red hands, trying to make conversation to dispel the chill and silence around her. "Old Li's daughter found a glowing stone by the river a few days ago. It was reported, and I heard she received an award and a considerable bonus."

It's on the news every day.

Wang Tiezhu responded in a muffled voice, and the beam of light swayed with his footsteps.

"We encourage people to report any unidentified objects immediately. There are more and more strange and unusual things happening in this world."

He had barely finished speaking—

"BOOM!!"

A deep, muffled roar, like a thunderclap from the earth, suddenly came from the direction of their old house!

The ground beneath my feet trembled noticeably, and the sporadic barking of dogs in the distance instantly shattered the deathly silence of the night.

"What's that noise? Did the mountain collapse?"

Zhang Xiulan was so frightened that she stumbled and grabbed her husband's arm tightly.

Wang Tiezhu's heart tightened, and he immediately swept the flashlight beam like a searchlight toward the source of the sound.

Dust was slowly rising from the direction of the hill behind the old house.

"Maybe it's a meteorite..." he muttered subconsciously, then his expression changed. "Wait a minute, that's near our old family home!"

"Let's go! Let's go check! Maybe the house collapsed and hit something!" The couple, ignoring their exhaustion, quickly ran towards the sound.

Right behind their old house, on that long-abandoned plot of land, the dilapidated pigsty used for storing miscellaneous items had collapsed by more than half, with broken bricks and tiles scattered all over the ground.

In the center of the ruins, a newly formed circular crater was clearly visible.

In the darkness, the bottom of the pit was originally empty, occasionally illuminated by a transparent hexagonal honeycomb-like light curtain, which would then disappear after a few flashes, revealing an object—a huge, gleaming silver metal sphere!

It was smooth and seamless, clearly not a creation of this world. The cool moonlight shone on it, reflecting a cold, metallic sheen.

Even more strangely, the air around the giant metal sphere seemed to be slightly distorted by the high temperature, as if it had just been pulled out of a furnace, radiating astonishing heat and dispelling some of the chill of the autumn night.

"What...what is this?" Zhang Xiulan's voice trembled, filled with disbelief and astonishment. "A boiler that fell from the sky?"

Wang Tiezhu was also dumbfounded.

He had lived most of his life, plowed fields, built houses, and the biggest piece of metal he had ever seen was the tractor in town. He had never seen anything like this before.

If they had a son and a daughter, they would definitely know that this was most likely a spaceship.

Wang Tiezhu suddenly remembered the topic he had just discussed with his wife.

"It doesn't look like a boiler... What boiler looks like this? Round and smooth like a ball."

His throat was dry, and his heart was pounding uncontrollably.

"Xiulan, do you remember the glowing stone that Old Li's daughter picked up? Maybe this is a treasure too, and it's definitely much bigger than the stone!"

Upon hearing this, Zhang Xiulan's eyes lit up, overjoyed: "Then...then it must be worth even more!"

"When I have money, I'll buy you more supplements to help you take good care of your health. Maybe...maybe we'll have a baby by the end of the year."

"Yes, yes."

Zhang Xiulan nodded repeatedly, her face glowing.

Wang Tiezhu took a deep breath, gripped the flashlight tightly, and excitedly reached for his old cell phone in his pocket with his other hand: "I'll call the village chief right now and ask how to report this!"

Just as he was about to press the dial button—

As if sensing something, the silver metal sphere's perfectly smooth surface suddenly rippled like a stone breaking the surface of still water.

Immediately afterwards, accompanied by a hissing sound of gas being released, a perfectly curved portal silently "peeled" from the sphere and slowly opened, with billowing white steam surging out from inside.

The couple took a step back in fright, their flashlight beams trembling as they shone into the cabin.

The interior was simple, radiating a soft blue light. In the center of the cabin was an incredibly comfortable-looking suspended seat, covered with some kind of soft, silvery-white fabric.

A baby lay quietly on the fabric.

The baby was wrapped in a swaddle made of a unique material, its large, clear blue eyes wide open. It was neither crying nor fussing, but was curiously looking at two unfamiliar faces outside the hatch.

at the same time.

Xia Xinghan's consciousness gradually became clear amidst the chaos.

"I am Xia Xinghan, I... I think I'm dead?"

He struggled to salvage the last fragments of his memory—

I'm just an ordinary college student. I had planned to play games with my girlfriend at an e-sports hotel, but I stumbled upon some incredible luck on my way there.

"So... I didn't die? The doctor pulled me back from the brink of death?" He felt an extreme sense of unease. "But this feeling... my body is completely unresponsive, limp, and I can't muster any strength... Could I be in a vegetative state?"

Xia Xinghan desperately concentrated, trying to reconnect with and take control of this unfamiliar body, struggling to open his eyes and raise his arm.

When I first opened my eyes, my vision was blurry, but then it slowly became clear.

A chubby, white little hand.

Hmm, so fair and tender.

If you shift your gaze slightly, this "hospital room"... is it too futuristic?

With its streamlined bulkheads and soft built-in lighting, this doesn't look like a hospital ward at all; it's clearly the cockpit of some kind of aircraft!

"Wait, a baby? A spaceship?"

Xia Xinghan immediately realized something was wrong.

"Damn it... no wonder I'm so lucky, the dump truck didn't even bother to collect it, turns out I've transmigrated!"

"Spaceship, baby, could it be that I've been transported into the world of Sun Wukong or Superman?"

Xia Xinghan only knew of two starting options: spaceships and babies.

Once again, like a novice, he clumsily tried to sense other parts of his body, paying particular attention to whether there was an extra tail behind him.

The conclusion is—no.

"It's confirmed! I am the Kryptonian orphan who was sent on a rocket by my parents and is about to grow up on an American farm!"

"Superman! Hahaha, it's Superman! Brilliant!"

An indescribable surge of joy welled up inside me.

Transmigrating into Sun Wukong requires extremely diligent cultivation, but becoming Superman means you can simply lie down and become a god among men!

Invincible strength, the ability to fly, a body of steel!

And then, I don't eat beef!

"Ideally, it would be a tycoon version of Superman, but it doesn't matter if it's not Tycoon or Superman. There aren't many ugly actors who have played Superman."

Just as Xia Xinghan was immersed in his wonderful daydreams, the hatch opened.

He looked out excitedly, ready to see his destined adoptive parents, the kind American farmer couple.

Then, what came into view were two photos, bearing the marks of time, tinged with a hint of fear and simple curiosity...

Yellow-skinned face.

"...???"

"Wait! This isn't the script! Where am I?"

He looked at the middle-aged couple; the man was wearing a faded jacket, and the woman was wearing a slightly rustic red headscarf.

Although the language they spoke had a strong local accent, it was clearly the familiar and comforting Chinese!

A tremendous sense of disorientation struck him.

Xia Xinghan began to question the meaning of life.

The location is undoubtedly China, but he's never heard of any version of Superman landing in China.

So... could I be Clark?

Outside the cabin door, Wang Tiezhu and Zhang Xiulan had also recovered slightly from their extreme shock.

"Baby...doll?"

As a woman, Zhang Xiulan's innate maternal instincts gradually overcame her initial fear.

Looking at the exquisitely beautiful baby with bright, expressive eyes inside the cabin, she was deeply touched.

"This...this child just fell from the sky?"

"His father." She subconsciously tugged at Wang Tiezhu's sleeve, her voice carrying a barely perceptible hint of longing, "We happen to be childless, this is probably a gift from God, how about... we raise him?"

Wang Tiezhu was dumbfounded. He looked at the baby, then at the spaceship that clearly did not belong to Earth's technology, and his mind was in complete confusion.

The news only said that if you find an unidentified object, you should report it, but it didn't say that children would fall from the sky!

"I see!"

Suddenly, Wang Tiezhu seemed to have thought of something, and his eyes widened sharply.

He glanced at the silver, spherical spaceship, then at Xia Xinghe reclining in the seat, and slapped his thigh excitedly, shouting, "Nezha! He's Nezha!!"
