Li Haotian threw the invitation, which was soaked in black water, on the ground.

The leather boots stepped on it, crushing it into a lump of mud.

He turned his head to look at the red electric scooter parked on the street corner, with a black insulated box with the words "Same City Express Delivery" printed on it strapped to the back seat.

The delivery driver was dozing off, his head resting on the steering wheel.

Li Haotian walked over, took out a wad of banknotes from his pocket, and stuffed them into the other person's arms.

"Clothes, car, suitcase, I want them all."

The deliveryman rubbed his eyes and sat up, staring at the stack of money for three seconds.

Without saying a word, he took off his yellow vest and handed it to Li Haotian.

Li Haotian put on the narrow yellow vest and fastened his sweat-smelling helmet.

"Su Wan, can you hear me?"

He twisted the throttle, and the dilapidated electric scooter emitted a screeching sound.

Su Wan's short, rapid breathing could be heard through the earpiece.

"The signal has been locked onto the coordinates of the last scan of the package."

"West Suburbs Container Terminal No. 5, that's Blackwater's territory."

Li Haotian stared at the fleeting lights in the rearview mirror.

"They wanted invitations, so I sent them a big one."

The electric scooter bounced on the uneven asphalt road, its chain creaking.

He walked through the old town's residential area, his nostrils filled with the smell of rotting seaweed.

The tower cranes in the distance looked like giant skeletons, swaying in the night.

Behind the barbed wire fence, two black pickup trucks were parked.

Several burly men wearing camouflage vests and with skull tattoos on their arms were squatting at the gate, smoking.

Li Haotian slowed down and stopped in front of the crossbar.

"Hey delivery guy! This place's blocked off, get lost!"

A guard with a fierce face spat out his cigarette butt and reached down to press the stun baton at his waist.

Li Haotian patted the black box behind him.

"Someone ordered fresh produce for container number 12 at the West Wharf."

He lowered the brim of his hat, and his voice sounded somewhat wooden.

The guard looked at Li Haotian suspiciously, then at the rickety electric scooter.

"Who placed the order? What's their name?"

Li Haotian pulled a crumpled sheet out of his pocket.

"It says 'Old Dog Takes'."

The guard's expression changed when he heard the nickname.

He mumbled a few words into the walkie-talkie, then pulled open the rusty lever.

"Go inside, and use your eyes to keep quiet, don't look around."

Li Haotian slowly rode his bicycle into the interior of the dock.

The containers were stacked like a maze, blocking most of the view.

The cold white searchlight swept across the ground every five seconds.

He parked his car in front of a row of blue-painted shipping containers.

There were about ten people standing in front of them, all holding short-barreled assault rifles.

The man in the lead was short and had a scar that ran diagonally from his forehead to his chin.

The scar looked like a dried-up riverbed.

He's an old dog.

The old dog turned around, and the lighter in his hand popped open with a clatter.

"Are you the deliveryman?"

He exhaled a puff of pungent smoke and squinted at Li Haotian.

Li Haotian picked up the black box and stood in the mud.

"The package has been delivered. Please sign for it."

The old dog sneered and tilted his head.

The two mercenaries behind him immediately surrounded him, pressing their guns against Li Haotian's chest.

"The things I ordered are in the invitation; who are you trying to fool with this shabby box?"

Old Dog walked up to Li Haotian and slapped the top of Li Haotian's helmet.

"Kneel down."

He pointed to the muddy ground, his tone revealing a twisted excitement.

"Put the box on your head, crawl over on your knees, and I'll sign the contract for you."

The surrounding mercenaries erupted in a cacophony of shouts.

Li Haotian didn't move, his hand gripping the handle of the box tightly.

"If I don't sign for it, I can't explain myself."

A glint of ferocity flashed in the old dog's eyes. He drew his Nepalese kukri from his waist and pressed the tip against Li Haotian's throat.

"I told you to kneel down, can't you understand human language?"

Li Haotian looked at the cold glint of the knife tip, and the corners of his mouth suddenly twitched upwards.

"Then watch carefully."

He suddenly raised one hand, and the entire black box flew into the air like a heavy hammer.

The old dog instinctively raised its head.

"Let's do it!"

Li Haotian let out a low shout and leaned back.

"Bang!"

The box exploded automatically in mid-air, revealing no fresh food inside, but rather black cylinders about the thickness of a finger.

That was a stun grenade he had just made from the leftover materials in the ruins of the clock tower.

The intense light engulfed the entire container area in an instant.

Dozens of stun grenades exploded simultaneously, filling the air with sharp whistling sounds.

"My eyes! Damn!"

The mercenaries let out desperate howls, covering their eyes and spinning around in circles.

Li Haotian sprang to his feet amidst the white light.

He did not use any of the golden flames within his body.

He suppressed those violent forces deep into the core of his heart.

He's just a killing machine now.

He snatched the short gun from the mercenary beside him and slammed the butt of the gun into the man's temple.

The sound of bones cracking was as crisp as snapping dry firewood.

He slid sideways, his figure weaving through the chaotic crowd.

He drew a bronze dagger from his lower back with his right hand, tracing an almost transparent arc in the air.

A mercenary who was about to pull the trigger suddenly stopped.

A red line appeared on the side of his neck.

Li Haotian pushed the corpse aside and slammed his knee into another person's chest.

The other person was sent flying backward, crashing into the container with a dull metallic clang.

The old dog rolled wildly on the ground, still instinctively swinging his military knife despite being blind.

Li Haotian walked over and stomped on the old dog's wrist, breaking it.

The military knife clattered to the ground.

Where is Liu Hu?

He stepped on the old dog's chest, the tip of his dagger pressed against the dog's eyelids.

The old dog was sweating profusely from the pain, making a hoarse sound in its throat.

"In...in the very last freezer..."

"Don't kill me... I'm just someone who does things for money..."

Without wasting words, Li Haotian thrust the dagger downwards.

He got up, wiped the blood off his face, and walked past the survivors who were still wailing.

At the far end of the container area, there is a huge stainless steel refrigerated container.

Thick white frost covered the area around the hatch.

The refrigeration unit was humming, and the hot air it was expelling distorted the view.

Li Haotian walked to the cryogenic chamber and gripped the heavy wrench with both hands.

He exerted force suddenly, his teeth grinding together.

"Creak—"

The rotor was forcibly turned on, and a large amount of white cold air gushed out like a waterfall.

A biting chill swept over him, blowing away the bloodstains on Li Haotian's face.

He waved away the white smoke and looked inside.

A man was submerged in the freezing liquid.

The man was shirtless, his chest covered with a dense network of stitches.

The line stretched from the left shoulder to the right hip, like a giant centipede.

The most crucial thing is that face.

He had thick eyebrows and big eyes, a slightly crooked nose, and a habitual,憨笑 (a simple, honest smile) at the corner of his mouth.

That's Liu Hu.

Li Haotian's legs went weak, and he slapped the edge of the freezer with his palm.

"Tiger Brother..."

He reached out his hand, trembling, wanting to touch the other person's skin.

Just as his fingertips were about to touch the other's forehead, "Liu Hu" inside suddenly opened his eyes.

Those eyes had no pupils; they were entirely an eerie grayish-white.

Tiny purple concentric circles spun wildly inside my eyeballs.

"Warning... Target identity confirmed... Li Haotian..."

The man inside the cryogenic chamber emitted a synthesized voice.

The voice was cold and mechanical, lacking any of the warmth Liu Hu had possessed in his lifetime.

"High-value bloodline detected... Initiate capture procedure..."

The man's right arm, covered in stitches, suddenly exploded.

Four barbed metal tentacles emerged from beneath the skin.

The tentacles moved with lightning speed, wrapping around Li Haotian's neck.

Li Haotian was slammed against the container wall behind him by the enormous force.

The refrigerant dripped down his collar.

"Su Wan! Run!"

He yelled something into his headset.

The man stepped out of the cryogenic chamber, his body stiff as a piece of wood.

His chest heaved violently with each breath, and the faint sound of gears turning could be heard from within.

"Is this a cyborg?"

Li Haotian gritted his teeth and gripped the tentacles on his neck with both hands.

He felt the force almost break his cervical spine.

The thing with Liu Hu's face tilted its head.

"Data update... Liu Hu's genetic compatibility is 90%..."

"Who are you?"

Li Haotian squeezed out these words through gritted teeth.

The cyborg did not answer; its left hand transformed into a sharp plasma saw.

The buzzing sound of the saw teeth turning made my eardrums ache.

It slammed down hard on Li Haotian's head.

Li Haotian kicked off the wall with both legs.

He shrank out from the gaps in the tentacles.

The plasma saw cleaved the container, and orange-red molten iron flowed from the cut.

"Tiger doesn't look like you."

The moment Li Haotian landed, the last trace of hesitation in his eyes vanished.

He gripped the bronze dagger tightly and crouched down.

The golden flame deep within his heart could no longer contain itself and began to overflow wildly along his meridians.

Even without using supernatural abilities, the anger brought about by this bloodline is enough to ignite a person.

He stared at the other person's identical face, his eyes bloodshot.

"You've chosen the wrong place to impersonate my brother."

The cyborg charged again.

With each step it takes, it creates a deep crater in the steel plate on the ground.

The tower crane above the warehouse suddenly started to rotate.

A huge iron hook came crashing down on the back of Li Haotian's head.

"Boss! That container area has magnetic field control! It's manipulating the surrounding metal!"

Su Wan's screams rang out on the channel.

Li Haotian crouched down and rolled over.

The iron hook slammed into the ground, sending pebbles flying.

He realized that this was not just a cryogenic chamber, but the entire dock was a huge trap.

That "Liu Hu" was just bait to lure him into the core area.

The surrounding containers began to shake uneasily.

The sound of iron chains rubbing together was like countless steel snakes slithering in the darkness.

"Locked... Cleanup in progress."

The cyborg raised his arms, and dozens of tentacles intertwined in the air.

They blocked all of Li Haotian's escape routes.

Li Haotian looked at the cold metal.

He could sense that deep within this body, there seemed to be a human heart still beating faintly.

Was that the real Liu Hu?

Or is it just a poorly made counterfeit product pieced together?

he does not know.

All he knew was that if he didn't dismantle this thing, he wouldn't be able to leave this dock that night.

The runes on the dagger shone brightly.

He took a sudden step forward, facing the tall, dark figure ahead.

"Whether you're human or ghost, lie down first!"
