The whole nation: You're put to survive on a desolate planet, you'll be running an alien b

Chapter 56 The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole eating the melon.

Li Haotian slumped on a stool, picking at his ear with his right little finger.

A crackling noise came through the headphones, followed by low voices talking.

"Bishop, make minor adjustments to the cargo receiving coordinates. The cargo ship will avoid the main channel and dock at berth number three in three minutes."

"The Dragon Shield agents are right at the door. The moment something shows up, they'll pounce like mad dogs."

"What are you afraid of? Those 'test subjects' have already been deployed on the second floor of the warehouse. They'll be in big trouble."

Upon hearing this, Li Haotian's eyebrows twitched.

Test subject?

These lunatics who are running a "deification project" have moved their laboratory to the docks.

As he was thinking, two blinding beams of light suddenly shone from the end of the road.

Immediately afterwards, a series of ear-piercing screeching sounds exploded like firecrackers.

At least seven or eight black special operations vehicles were parked across the warehouse gate.

Qin Yue, dressed in a dark combat uniform, jumped off the lead vehicle.

She was carrying a large, silver-coated megaphone and yelled at the top of the warehouse.

"Listen up, you people inside! Your location has been pinpointed. Surrender now, and that's your only way out!"

"Don't harbor any illusions, this area within a five-kilometer radius has been completely sealed off!"

Li Haotian, who was squatting behind the breakwater, almost burst out laughing when he heard this.

Officer Qin is still so energetic. His lines are so old and outdated, they're only good for fooling kids on TV.

Hey, you over there.

A special operations officer carrying a fully automatic rifle spotted the "fisherman" in the distance.

The flashlight from his gun hurt Li Haotian's eyes.

"Hey you, you in the yellow vest, put away your pole and get out of the restricted area!"

Li Haotian quickly pressed his straw hat down and waved with one hand free.

"Officer, my fishing line is about to break, and I'm struggling with a big fish. I can't leave!"

The special operations team member's face twitched.

"Enough with the nonsense! Is your life more important than the fish? Evacuate!"

Li Haotian didn't resist and slowly moved backward while carrying the small stool.

He moved into the shadow of an abandoned shipping container, which conveniently blocked the special operations team's view.

He plopped back down on the stool and reached into the pocket of his yellow vest.

He grabbed a handful of plain sunflower seeds.

"Crunch."

The crisp cracking sound was drowned out by Qin Yue's horn.

He mentally signaled to Su Wan to stay out of the way.

There was no sound from inside the warehouse; it was deathly silent.

The unusual silence made Qin Yue's face darken.

She made a gesture into the walkie-talkie.

"One team is ready to storm in, flood the spotlights!"

Instantly, all four large vehicle-mounted searchlights turned on.

The entire Warehouse No. 3 was illuminated as bright as day, so bright that even a cockroach in the corner had nowhere to hide.

Just as the first team members approached the gate with explosive charges.

"Bang!"

The glass windows on the top floor of the warehouse shattered all at once.

Several dark blue spheres flew out from inside and rolled around on the ground.

"Take cover! There's a mine!"

Qin Yue screamed and fell backward against the car door.

Li Haotian could see it clearly from a distance.

The moment it landed, it didn't spew out sparks, but rather thick black smoke as black as ink.

The speed at which the smoke spread was simply illogical.

In the blink of an eye, the entrance to Warehouse No. 3 became a hazy, gray mess.

"The physics engine really has a bug; is this diffusion path for real?"

Li Haotian ate sunflower seeds while making sarcastic remarks.

The smoke clearly contained high-dimensional energy; it could even swallow the beams of searchlights.

Intense gunfire erupted from within the smoke.

The muzzle flashes of the rifle fire flicker in the thick smoke, accompanied by screams and the clanging of metal against metal.

"Help! What is this thing?!"

A special operations team member stumbled out of the smoke.

His protective suit on one shoulder was torn to shreds, as if it had been gnawed by some ferocious beast.

Before he could take two steps, a dark figure shot out from the smoke.

The dark figure moved with incredible speed, creating a gust of foul wind.

"Thump."

The figure was dragged back into the smoke, leaving a dark red bloodstain.

Qin Yue hid behind the car, firing her pistol wildly, but the bullets disappeared into the smoke as if they had vanished into thin air.

"Everyone retreat! Leave the smoke-filled area!"

She gritted her teeth and shouted, her forehead covered in cold sweat.

Li Haotian put the last handful of sunflower seeds back into his pocket and dusted off his hands.

"These villains have finally decided to unleash their dogs."

The shadow beneath his feet began to wriggle again.

The thick smoke can block the vision of ordinary people and hinder the detection of electronic instruments.

But it couldn't stop his alien perception.

In Li Haotian's mind, the scene inside the smoke was as clear as a 3D model.

Four distorted monsters were lying on the outer wall of the warehouse.

They looked like skinned gorillas with several blue-glowing metal tubes inserted into their backs.

Is this the "test subject" mentioned in the headphones?

These creatures move stiffly, yet possess immense strength; their claws can easily slice through bulletproof vests.

"It's shameful to show off such a defective product."

Li Haotian snorted coldly and slowly stood up from behind the container.

He stood out in the chaotic dock, wearing a conspicuous yellow reflective vest.

But with each step he took, the surrounding light seemed to dim a little.

The smoke actually avoided his body.

"Officer, since you can't handle it, I guess I'll have to take matters into my own hands."

Li Haotian passed by an overturned special operations vehicle and casually picked up a crowbar that had fallen to the ground.

He weighed it in his hand; it was alright.

At the other end of the warehouse, the sound of the waves suddenly grew louder.

A small, dark steamship, its navigation lights extinguished, was anchoring under the cover of thick smoke.

"Bishop, the goods have been unloaded and are being stored."

The sound coming from the headphones was tinged with ecstasy.

Li Haotian looked at the ship.

The prototype of that so-called "Godhood Stripper" should be on there.

He quickened his pace, his figure weaving through the gaps between the shipping containers.

Suddenly, a test subject monster swooped down from the smoke, its claws aimed straight for the back of his head.

Without turning his head, Li Haotian swung the crowbar in the opposite direction with his right hand.

"when!"

That was the sound of metal striking bone.

The monster's head was smashed to the side at a 90-degree angle by the blow, and half of its face instantly collapsed.

Li Haotian turned to the side and kicked the monster in the chest.

This kick carried the incredible power of a game-breaking last-hit.

The monster flew back like a cannonball, crashing straight through the red brick wall of the warehouse.

Li Haotian shook his hand, looking disgusted.

"The feel is terrible, and the biodiversity is poorly done."

He looked up at the shadows on the second floor of the warehouse.

There was a huge thing crouching inside, staring intently at him.

"The bishop's man?"

Li Haotian slung the crowbar over his shoulder, a chilling smile spreading across his face.

He walked slowly towards the main entrance of the warehouse, stepping through the lingering smoke.

There, Qin Yue was leading her remaining troops in a frantic retreat.

The two met at the edge of the smoke.

Qin Yue's face was covered in soot, and her eyes widened the moment she saw Li Haotian.

"Li Haotian? Are you crazy! Run!"

She rushed up and tried to grab Li Haotian's arm.

Li Haotian slightly shifted his body to avoid her hand.

He held up a finger and made a shushing gesture to his lips.

"Officer, calm down."

"These test subjects weren't insured; I'm just helping them go through the disposal process."

After saying that, he swaggered into that dead zone that even a searchlight couldn't penetrate.

Qin Yue stood there, watching the figure in the reflective vest disappear.

The walkie-talkie in her hand fell to the ground, making a rustling sound.

"Captain...who is that person?"

A team member asked, his voice trembling.

Qin Yue clenched her fists tightly.

"A...rule-breaking madman."

Inside the warehouse.

As soon as Li Haotian stepped inside, the door was locked tightly by two thick iron chains.

The air inside was chillingly cold, carrying a strong smell of formaldehyde and rust.

Dozens of red dots lit up in the darkness.

Those were the eyes of more test subjects.

On the crane hook in the very center sat a man dressed in a black priest's suit.

The man was fiddling with a slender, silver scalpel.

"Alien, or should I call you Li Haotian?"

Li Haotian glanced at him sideways.

"Call me Dad is fine too, I'm not picky."

He glanced behind the man and saw several men in black struggling to push a metal cylinder.

The thing was over half a meter tall, with complex purple runes flowing across its surface.

This is the prototype.

"Want it?" The man jumped down and landed steadily.

"Unfortunately, you won't be leaving this room today."

Li Haotian scoffed.

He looked down at his phone.

"It's already 3:30, and there's still no air force."

"Since the fish aren't biting, I'll just blow up the fishpond."

He snapped his fingers.

The shadow beneath their feet instantly exploded.

Four raiders that had been lurking in the shadows burst forth from the ground.

They emit a chilling hiss.

"Hurry up, I haven't had my midnight snack yet."

The battle erupted instantly.

Li Haotian didn't even look at the monsters, and went straight to the machine.

The crowbar in his hand dragged a trail of sparks across the ground.

"Since you guys like playing with stripping away, I'll give it a try too."

"Let's see if we can remove this lousy dock from the map."

The man's expression finally changed.

He felt that the man in front of him was not a player at all.

Instead, it's a world boss disguised as a human.

"Open fire! Turn him into a sieve!"

The man roared and backed away.

Li Haotian's eyes turned cold, and he swung the crowbar through the air in a full moon pattern.

"Speak louder, I can't hear you."

The smoke at the dock grew thicker.

But Qin Yue heard a strange sound outside.

It wasn't the sound of gunfire, nor was it a scream.

Instead, it was a very regular sound of explosions, similar to those of a large excavator demolishing an old factory.

And, the casual humming of a certain fisherman.

"Good luck to you..."

Qin Yue covered her face in anguish.

This guy is hopeless.
