Officer Li sat across from me with a cold expression, but pointed to the plastic bag on the table.

He looked at the plastic bag on the table with some lace trim peeking out, and at Miss Lin's angry eyes.

Looking at Officer Li's tense face, he felt utterly speechless.

Just then, the interrogation room door was gently pushed open, and another young police officer poked his head in.

He strode over to Officer Li, whispered a few words in his ear, and glanced at Cheng Zhe, who was slumped in a chair, his tone urgent.

Officer Li frowned, then relaxed. Without giving Cheng Zhe a second glance, he said in a deep voice to Ms. Lin, who was standing to the side, "Ms. Lin, come out for a moment, there's a new development."

Ms. Lin was taken aback, her eyes scanning Cheng Zhe with wariness. Seeing the police officer's serious expression, she didn't dare to ask any more questions.

So he quickly followed her out, and then the interrogation room door was slammed shut.
