At midnight, Cheng Zhe held his breath, making sure the two people beside him were asleep.

She carefully got up, then lifted a corner of the blanket, moving even more gently.

He carried the slippers in his hand, his bare feet stepping on the floor, one step at a time.

The door to the next room was ajar, leaving a narrow crack.

Cheng Zhe stood outside the door and finally knocked gently on the door panel, his voice extremely low: "Shiyi."

There was silence inside the door for a few seconds, then the crack was silently opened.

Zhang Shiyi wore a silk nightgown, her long hair loosely tied back, revealing a section of her fair neck.

The corridor lights illuminated her face, obscuring much of her expression. Only her eyes, gleaming coldly in the dim light, gave him a disdainful glare.

"Ha," she said in a low voice, but with an undisguised sarcasm.

"Mr. Cheng, you still remember to knock on my door? I thought you had long forgotten about me."

Cheng Zhe blushed instantly, half from embarrassment and half from awkwardness.

He quickly squeezed through the door, closed it behind him, his movements swift and gentle, as if afraid of waking the neighbors next door.

"Shiyi, don't say that."

He rubbed his hands together, his tone awkwardly ingratiating: "That's why I came over right away to apologize, isn't it?"

Zhang Shiyi looked at his helpless and ingratiating appearance, the coldness in her eyes had not dissipated, but a provocative smile appeared on the corner of her mouth.

She didn't reply, but simply raised her slender fingers and gently hooked the shoulder strap of her nightgown.

The thin silk shoulder strap, so delicate it seemed it would snap at the slightest touch, slipped off, and then the entire piece of cool silk slowly slid down her smooth back.

Like flowing water, it cascaded over her waist and knees, finally landing lightly on the carpet with a barely audible thud.

The dim yellow light from the night lamp shone through the crack in the door, perfectly outlining her shapely curves.

Her skin glowed with a delicate, soft light in the dim light, and the lines of her shoulders and neck were so beautiful that they made one's breath catch in their throat.

Cheng Zhe's gaze seemed to be fixed on him, and he subconsciously swallowed.

"Is it pretty?" Zhang Shiyi's voice was a little languid, yet it was full of irresistible allure.

She took a step forward, her warm breath almost touching his ear.

"Mr. Cheng, this apology won't be so easy. I won't be satisfied until it takes at least two hours."

"Two hours?" Cheng Zhe's heart skipped a beat, and his legs went weak instantly.

He had just... his strength was already mostly used up, and just looking at her now made him feel powerless.

But when he looked at Zhang Shiyi's eyes, which seemed to be smiling but weren't, he swallowed his words back.

He sighed heavily, gritted his teeth, reached out and wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her warm and alluring body into his arms.

He looked down at the exquisite profile of the person in his arms, and secretly prayed that his good-for-nothing "brother" would step up and not let him down at this critical moment.

As the morning light began to spill over the dining table, Cheng Zhe finished the last mouthful of porridge and picked up his suit jacket from the back of his chair.

"I'll come back often from now on." Cheng Zhe's eyes were red, still showing signs of exhaustion from the previous night.

Zhao Ya carefully reached out and straightened the wrinkles in his tie, then slowly said:

"I won't restrict you too much anymore, and I won't ask you about your affairs anymore."

The estrangement that had been building up between the two of them finally dissipated, like fog blown away by the morning breeze.

Cheng Zhe paused for a moment, opened his mouth, but ultimately only managed a soft "okay," before turning around, opening the door, and going to work.

The atmosphere in the company was no different from usual; the receptionist's greetings were sweet, and the voices of colleagues chatting amongst themselves rose and fell.

Cheng Zhe nodded and smiled all the way, greeting acquaintances, but walked straight to the finance manager's office at the end of the corridor.

Liu Ying was reviewing documents on her computer when she saw him enter. She raised an eyebrow but didn't look up. "What brings you here? What's up?"

"I was just thinking that I'd be going to your house for dinner tonight."

When Cheng Zhe pulled up a chair and sat down, he deliberately chose an angle diagonally opposite Liu Ying, his gaze seemingly glued to her face.

However, his peripheral vision had already been drawn to her business suit.

The air conditioning in the office carried a cool breeze, causing the hem of Liu Ying's suit to sway slightly.

She was wearing a pair of high heels, her legs were originally crossed, her knees were against the edge of the table, and her skirt was hanging down, just covering her vital parts.

Cheng Zhe rambled on about project funding, but his eyes seemed to be magnifying as he scanned the area covered by the fabric inch by inch.

I know perfectly well that my purpose in coming here today is not work at all.

Liu Ying tapped the mouse harder and harder, her brows gradually furrowing.

She knew exactly what the man was thinking; from the moment he entered the room, his lingering gaze had never left her legs.

"Cheng Zhe," she finally lost her temper, glaring at him with barely suppressed impatience, "just say what you have to say, don't waste my time here."

Cheng Zhe simply raised an eyebrow and smiled innocently, "Sister Ying, weren't we just talking about work?"

"I'm extremely uneasy when the project funds don't arrive!"

Liu Ying was speechless, a hint of helplessness flashing in her eyes.

She knew Cheng Zhe's temperament all too well; if things didn't go his way today, he could dawdle here all morning.

He was clearly there to check if I had followed his instructions and was working without a mask on!

Taking a deep breath, she bit her lower lip and gently lowered her crossed legs, the chair legs making a soft sound as they rubbed against the floor.

Immediately afterwards, as if in resignation, she leaned back slightly, and her legs, which had been pressed together, loosened a little in a very subtle way.

This action made Cheng Zhe's breathing instantly become slightly heavier.

His gaze was fixed on the gap that had been split open.

The skirt of a business suit is not long to begin with, and with this slight flare, nothing can be hidden anymore.

There wasn't a single trace of excess fabric, and even the outline of that area became clear.

He could even see the vacuum zone created by the change in posture.

In that instant, Cheng Zhe understood completely, and the wicked smile on his lips could no longer be hidden, spreading unrestrainedly.

Liu Ying felt uncomfortable under his burning gaze, her cheeks flushed slightly, but she could only endure it.

She turned her face away, looking back at the computer screen, her voice filled with obvious disdain: "Have you seen enough?"

Cheng Zhe then withdrew his gaze with satisfaction, stood up, and patted the hem of his suit jacket: "That's enough, that's enough. I'll leave the dinner arrangements tonight to you."

"Get lost." Liu Ying didn't even look up, squeezing out the word through gritted teeth, and her fingertip slammed down on the mouse, clearly having lost all patience with him.

Cheng Zhe returned to his office with light steps, and as he closed the door behind him, a smile still lingered on his lips.

He reached into his suit pocket and pulled out his phone. The screen lit up, and after unlocking it, he directly opened the chat window labeled "Little Lolita".

"What are you planning to eat for lunch? I'll pick you up from school later."
