At the beginning, he took his seven younger siblings to join Yi Zhonghai.
Chapter 5 His Sister-in-Law
After Yi Zhongding hung up the phone, his heart finally settled down.
He really did travel to the central courtyard of the myriad worlds.
And that Moral Celestial was actually his elder brother.
"Ding Ya Zi, although it's not very appropriate, I still want to congratulate you. Your life won't be so difficult from now on."
The township head patted his arm and smiled from the bottom of his heart.
"Thank you so much, Uncle Township Head. If it weren't for your helpful assistance in making the contact, I don't know how much effort I would have had to put in to find my older brother."
Yi Zhongding said sincerely.
"Hey, that's nothing. What are your thoughts now? Are you going to take your younger siblings and your older brother to the capital?"
The township head pulled him to sit on the sofa.
"Let's see how things go. If he can afford it, I'll have no choice but to go to the capital with my older brother for the sake of my younger siblings."
Yi Zhongding nodded and said.
"Haha, I just heard it. Your older brother said his salary is high enough to support you all."
"Uncle truly hopes you all do well, so I'm giving you this advice: even if your older brother's salary can barely support you, you should still go to the capital. After all, it's under the emperor's nose, and there are more opportunities there than in this remote mountain village."
"With your older brother's help, your younger siblings won't be a burden to you. You can continue your studies. I'll get you a transfer certificate. Your grades are so good. Once you've completed your studies, your family won't have any financial difficulties."
The township head said earnestly.
"Yeah, I understand."
Yi Zhongding nodded.
After talking for a while, Yi Zhongding said goodbye and went home.
And the distant capital city.
After hanging up the phone, Yi Zhonghai could no longer contain his excitement.
They ran all the way back to the courtyard house.
"Hey, Lao Yi... Hey, why are you running so fast? Are you being chased by a dog? No, wait, Lao Yi, you have such a big smile on your face, something good must be going on. I have to go see, maybe I can get a big feast."
A man with black-rimmed glasses, exuding an air of both scholarly refinement and worldly savvy, stood at the doorway, watching the departing figure and muttering to himself.
He then put down the kettle, adjusted his glasses, and quickly followed into the central courtyard.
After returning home, Yi Zhonghai saw his wife carrying out food and said loudly, "Xiulian, sister-in-law, quickly pack our bags, I'm going to Hubei Province."
"What? What? His sister-in-law? She's got hysteria? What was she doing in Hubei province?"
Tan Xiulian looked at her husband's expression, which looked as if he had eaten bee droppings, with a puzzled expression.
His sister-in-law?
Whose sister-in-law is she?
"I've found my fourth uncle's son, Ding Yazi. He's contacted us and is currently in Hubei Province. I'm going to go and bring him back."
Yi Zhonghai said repeatedly.
"Ding Ya Zi? Fourth Uncle's eldest son? Master, have you really found him?"
Tan Xiulian was stunned upon hearing this, both surprised and delighted.
"I found him. I just finished talking to him on the phone at the factory. Let me tell you, there's a surprise, a really, really big surprise."
Yi Zhonghai excitedly waved his fists repeatedly.
"Great, that's wonderful! Where in Hubei Province is he? How are you going to get there? The sun is about to set. Don't eat yet. Go ask about train tickets and bring Dingya back as soon as possible."
"Where are his fourth uncle and fourth aunt? Bring them back together."
Tan Xiulian clasped one hand into a palm and the other into a fist, banging them together forcefully to express her joy.
"Dingya said his parents are gone, but he couldn't explain it clearly over the phone. I'll have to go there to find out. I don't know how much suffering this kid has endured. Luckily, he got in touch with us."
"You're right. Help me pack a few sets of clothes, and bring along any nutritious food you have at home. I'll go to the train station to ask now."
Upon hearing his wife's words, Yi Zhonghai slapped his forehead and rushed out again.
Yan Bugui, who had just arrived at the Yi family's door, intending to get a straight answer, hadn't even stopped yet.
Then I saw a huge shadow disappear like the wind into the central courtyard.
I was just about to peek out and ask what was going on.
Tan Xiulian slammed the door shut.
Yan Bugui touched his nose, which had almost been hit, looking completely bewildered.
"Teacher Yan, what are you doing standing at my master's house?"
A handsome and dignified young man came out from across the hall and greeted them curiously.
"Hey, Dongxu, what good news does your master have?"
Upon hearing this, Yan Bugui turned around and asked curiously.
"Good news? No, right? What happened to my master?"
Jia Dongxu scratched his head in confusion.
That would be very strange.
Yan Bugui raised his eyes in puzzlement, then murmured softly as he returned to the front yard.
Seeing his strange appearance, Jia Dongxu didn't pay any attention and turned back into the house.
What happened to your master?
A short, plump woman with fair skin was sitting in the room, poking at the soles of her shoes with a screwdriver. She looked up and asked.
"I don't know. Old Yan from the front yard is acting strangely. He asked my master what happy event was happening at his house."
Jia Dongxu shook his head and said.
"Could it be that your master's wife, that barren hen, is about to lay an egg?"
Madam Jia Zhang glanced at the gate of the Yi family across the street with a somewhat solemn expression.
"That can't be right. If that were the case, given my master's temperament, he wouldn't reveal it so early. He would wait until she was showing after three months before saying anything."
Upon hearing this, Jia Dongxu subconsciously glanced at his master's door and stood up without thinking.
"Who knows? You've already lived most of your life, and if you suddenly get pregnant, you won't be able to keep it a secret."
"Go and take a look."
Madam Jia glanced at her daughter-in-law, who was busy in the kitchen, and said softly.
"OK."
Jia Dongxu glanced around the room, picked up a crucian carp weighing half an ounce, and walked towards the opposite side.
A young and beautiful woman, busy making steamed buns in the kitchen, with a hint of allure that she couldn't hide, glanced up at him, then lowered her head and continued working.
But not long after.
He then returned with the fish.
Then he shook his head at Jia Zhangshi.
"That's strange. Old Yan isn't a very good person, but his eyes are very bright."
"Go check on your master when he returns in a little while."
Madam Jia muttered to herself in confusion for a moment, then gave the instructions.
"Okay, let's see if there's anything we can help with."
Jia Dongxu seemed to have no other thoughts; he nodded and went to the kitchen.
More than an hour later.
Yi Zhonghai rushed home again.
Jia Dongxu and Jia Zhangshi exchanged a glance.
The former immediately got up, picked up the fish he had just caught, and headed towards the opposite door.
A short while later.
Jia Dongxu returned carrying that fish again.
But his expression didn't seem quite right.
"What's wrong? Are you really pregnant?"
Madam Jia asked hurriedly.
"No, the master found his lost brother, who is said to be his fourth uncle's eldest son. That's why he hurriedly bought a train ticket and will go to pick him up tomorrow."
Jia Dongxu stated the facts truthfully.
"What? A younger brother? How old is this old man? A younger brother? How old is his younger brother anyway?"
Jia Zhangshi put down the shoe sole she was halfway through making and asked in surprise.
"I asked, but he didn't say much."
Jia Dongxu nodded and said.
"Is Heaven determined to make our Jia family live a good life? Is it deliberately going against Jia Zhangshi? How come this old woman has a younger brother now?"
Madam Jia's expression was rather unpleasant.
Jia Dongxu did not reply upon hearing this, and his heart was not at peace either.
They still believe that Yi Zhonghai has only found a younger brother.
If I had known I had eight younger brothers and sisters.
It might be more than just a feeling of being unsettled.
