Night fell and the light dimmed.

Under the guidance of Li Jiaying.

The twin sisters, Mu Yurou and Mu Xueqing, began their first lesson as intern maids.

The process was, of course, incredibly awkward.

The sisters' faces were as red as boiled shrimp, and their movements were as stiff as if they had just been fitted with prosthetics.

Li Jiaying, watching from the side, wanted to laugh but dared not actually laugh out loud, so she could only hold it in and occasionally whisper a few words of reminder.

"Sister Yurou, relax your hands a little, don't be too tense... Yes, just like that."

"Sister Xueqing, the position is not right. Move it to the side, a little below the master's head... um, right here. Gently massage the head, the master will feel comfortable."

She taught patiently, her tone so sweet it was almost cloying. As she spoke, she gestured to the two sisters to watch her demonstration.

Su Yifeng leaned back against the headboard completely relaxed, his eyes closed, as if he were truly enjoying a top-notch head massage.

Only the occasional sound of relaxed breathing.

This made the two sisters even more nervous, and their fingers trembled violently.

Mu Yurou felt like she couldn't breathe, and her palms were sweaty.

She secretly glanced at Su Yifeng. His eyes were closed, his long eyelashes casting a small shadow under his eyes, his nose was high and straight, and his lips were pursed, revealing no emotion.

It doesn't seem... that scary?

He was just enjoying the massage; hadn't I given him massages before?

This thought made her relax a little, and her hand movements became more natural.

Mu Xueqing, on the other hand, is in a different state.

At first, she had a "what the heck" mentality, thinking it was a way of repaying a debt of gratitude.

But when I actually started doing it, the feeling of shame still surged up like a tide.

……

"Would you like to... continue with the next step of your learning?"

……

Driven by that atmosphere and their physical instincts, they were gradually swept along.

……

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the gaps in the heavy curtains, casting dappled patterns on the carpet.

Mu Yurou woke up first.

She blinked, still somewhat dazed, feeling weak all over, as if she had been disassembled and reassembled.

Then she sensed someone beside her.

Turning my head to one side, I saw my younger sister, Mu Xueqing, sleeping peacefully, and further away, I saw Li Jiaying curled up.

Memories flooded back into my mind like a tide.

Everything that happened last night... wasn't a dream.

Her face flushed instantly again, but strangely, she no longer felt the intense shame and resistance she had felt the night before. Instead, she felt a deep weariness and a kind of... resigned calm.

She sat up gently, afraid of waking her sister and Jiaying.

The silk nightgown slipped off her shoulders, revealing some ambiguous marks.

She silently straightened her clothes, got out of bed, and walked barefoot onto the soft carpet into the bathroom.

The warm water washed over her body, relieving some of her fatigue and making her more alert.

She knew that from the moment she stepped into this master bedroom last night, there was no turning back for her and Xueqing.

This realization left her feeling empty, yet at the same time, strangely, she also felt a sense of security.

At least, there won't be any more worries about Grandma's medical expenses, no more worries about what to eat tomorrow, and no more fear of being harassed by those thugs.

Is the price freedom and dignity?

Mu Yurou looked at her misty face in the mirror and smiled bitterly.

maybe.

But for her and Xueqing, freedom and dignity were luxuries.

She dried herself off and changed into the brand-new off-white knitted suit she had worn the night before.

The soft fabric enveloped her body, so comfortable that she wanted to sigh.

This is probably part of the price to pay.

When Mu Xueqing came out of the bathroom, she was also awake, sitting on the bed in a daze, her eyes still somewhat blank.

"Sister..." Mu Xueqing called out softly when she saw Mu Yurou, her voice hoarse.

"Go take a shower." Mu Yurou walked over and gently hugged her younger sister. "A hot shower will make you feel better."

Mu Xueqing nodded, said nothing more, and silently got out of bed and went to the bathroom.

Li Jiaying also woke up. She rubbed her eyes and sat up. Seeing that Mu Yurou was already dressed, she immediately smiled sweetly.

"Sister Yurou, you're awake? I'll go prepare breakfast for you!"

She jumped out of bed and nimbly ran out of the bedroom, her energy seemingly boundless.

After Mu Xueqing finished showering, the two sisters went downstairs together.

Inside the restaurant, a sumptuous breakfast was already laid out on the long dining table.

Both Chinese and Western styles are available, steaming hot and fragrant.

Li Jiaying was busy in the kitchen, like a happy little housewife.

Su Yifeng was already seated in the main seat, reading a financial newspaper.

He changed into a set of home clothes, looking less sharp and more casual than usual.

"Awake? Sit down and have breakfast." He didn't even look up, his tone calm and natural, as if nothing had happened last night.

The two sisters quietly sat down on either side of him, picked up their utensils, and ate in small bites.

The food was delicious, but they ate it without really tasting it.

There was a moment of silence at the table, broken only by the soft clinking of cutlery.

After a while, Su Yifeng put down the newspaper and looked at Mu Yurou:

"As for Grandma, I've had Jiaying contact a better hospital and caregiver. She can be transferred there next week. You don't need to worry about the costs."

Mu Yurou paused, her hand holding the spoon stiffened, her nose tingled, and she almost burst into tears.

She nodded vigorously: "...Thank you, Boss Su."

"Still calling him 'boss'?"

Mu Yurou met Su Yifeng's smiling gaze and quickly lowered her head, whispering, "Master."

Su Yifeng nodded in satisfaction, then looked at Mu Xueqing and asked, "Have you been keeping up with your studies lately?"

Mu Xueqing was taken aback by his question and hesitated for a moment before replying in a low voice, "It's...it's alright."

"Yes, go to class when you're supposed to, don't let it interfere with your studies."

Su Yifeng's tone was flat:

"There are plenty of rooms here. You can choose one you like to stay in, or you can go back to the school to live. It's up to you."

He paused, then added, "If you need anything, just contact Jiaying or call me directly. If you need anything, just tell Jiaying."

This sounds as if they have been given a place to settle down, and their position and treatment have been defined.

The two sisters exchanged a glance, both understanding that this was what their lives would be like from now on.

"Understood," the two replied in unison, their voices not loud, but clear enough.

After breakfast, Su Yifeng went out.

He's going to pick up He Jingyun's younger sister, He Susu, today.

Li Jiaying saw him to the door, then came back and smiled at the two sisters, saying:

"Sisters, from now on we're family! You'll get used to it!"

Looking at Li Jiaying's smiling face, Mu Yurou and Mu Xueqing felt a mix of emotions.

Are you used to it...?

Maybe.
