The words "Valley of Venomous Snakes" and "terrifying ritual" sent a chill down Su Qingxuan's spine, even though she and the others were somewhat prepared.

The next morning, as dawn broke, the group of six was driven out of town by their guide, Ap, and headed to Baka town.

Around noon, the car could no longer move and stopped at a small village on the edge of the rainforest.

The two retreated to the shore in a disheveled state, their trouser legs torn by the bite, but thankfully they were not seriously injured.

"Master, what should we do?" Qin Yuwei asked, glancing at the increasing number of dark shadows on the river.

Wang Tian looked at the terrain, pointed to a narrow river upstream, and said, "Let's cross from there with a rope."

The group went upstream. Wang Tian tied one end of the rope to a big tree on the bank, threw the other end over, tied it to a big rock on the opposite side, and pulled hard.
