"What else?"

"And some we made ourselves..."

The fat man's voice grew softer and softer, "The one in the jar, that's because she was raised in a jar since she was a baby, that's how her bones grew."

Spider-Man was bound with ropes and bent into that shape, while Mantis was made by breaking bones and then resetting them backwards…”

Ma Yongzhen slammed his fist on the table, and "crack!" The table leg broke, the tabletop tilted, and the food and drinks spilled onto the floor, shattering everywhere.

The fat man and the accountant shrank back in fright, while the thugs wanted to run but dared not.

"You beasts!"

Ma Yongzhen's eyes reddened. "How old were those children? How could you do that?"

The fat man raised his hands to cover his face, pleading repeatedly, "Hero, spare my life! Hero, spare my life! We're just trying to make a living, that's how the world is..."

"Is this just how the world is?"

Lin Tian's voice was as cold as ice, "Is this how the world is, and this is how you should be?"

He picked up the gun on the table and twirled it in his hand.

"Yongzhen, take those children out."

Ma Yongzhen nodded, turned and walked out, searching one shed after another, carrying out the children who were locked in cages and tied to pillars one by one.

Dog Boy, Jar Girl, Spider-Man, Mantis Hand, and about a dozen others were locked in a dark, sunless little house. The youngest was only three or four years old, and the oldest was no more than ten.

Their eyes were empty and numb, like a group of terrified little animals.

Ma Yongzhen gathered the children in the center of the open space. When the girls in the jars were taken out of their jars, their bodies were stiff, their joints were twisted, and they could barely stand.

She nestled in Ma Yongzhen's arms, her little hands gripping his collar, her nails digging into his flesh.

Ma Yongzhen gritted her teeth, her eyes reddening.

"Don't be afraid, Uncle will take you home."

The girl in the jar looked up, tears streaming down her dry eyes.

Inside the house, Lin Tian was still chatting amicably with the fat man.

"How long have you been doing this?"

The fat man stammered, "Five...five years."

"How much money did you make?"

"Not...not much..."

Lin Tian pointed the gun at his head: "How much is 'not much'?"

"It's... about tens of thousands of silver dollars..." The fat man was so frightened that tears welled up in his eyes.

Lin Tian glanced at the accountant and the others again, his gaze indifferent, yet everyone felt as if he were looking at them.

He picked up the gun on the table, removed the magazine, counted the bullets one by one, and then put it back in.

"People like you are only a nuisance if you're kept around."

"Spare us! We'll give you money, lots of money! Name your price!" The fat man knelt on the ground, kowtowing desperately.

Lin Tian pressed the muzzle of his gun against his forehead. "In your next life, be a human being."

Gunshots rang out.

One, two, three...

Six shots rang out in succession.

The fat man, the accountant, and the thugs all lay in pools of blood, their eyes staring at the ceiling, dying with their eyes wide open.

Lin Tian put the gun away and walked out of the room.

Ma Yongzhen stood in the center of the open space, still holding the jar of children in his arms. When he heard the gunshot, his body trembled slightly, but he didn't say anything.

The other children heard it too; some huddled together in fear, some cried, and some remained expressionless.

Lin Tian walked up to them, squatted down, and said in a very soft voice, "From today onwards, you are free."

The children looked at him, some of them not understanding what freedom was.

"We'll take you home."

Lin Tian continued, "Those with homes can go home, and those without homes will be provided with places to live. You won't have to wear those dog and monkey skins anymore, you won't have to jump through fire hoops and do somersaults anymore, and you won't have to be locked in jars anymore."

A boy asked timidly, "Really...really?"

"Really." Lin Tian reached out and patted his head. "I keep my word."

The boy's tears flowed down his face, and he cried his heart out.

The other children also started crying, as if they were crying out all the grievances they had suffered over the years.

Ma Yongzhen held the jar of children, her eyes reddening.

Lin Tian said calmly, "Yongzhen, take them out and find a place to settle these children. I'll handle the mess here."

"But, young master, I'm protecting you..."

"Alright, alright, I have the truth in my hands."

Lin Tian brandished the pistol in his hand, but the gunshot hadn't caused much panic.

After all, this was a circus, and the noise inside was enough to drown out the gunshots. Inside the tent, the performance continued.

The lights shone on the center of the stage, where a trainer in a gold bodysuit was waving a whip, driving a lion to jump through a hoop.

The lion reluctantly crawled through one ring of fire after another, and the audience applauded and cheered each time it passed through one.

The children clapped excitedly, and the adults chatted and laughed, but no one knew what was happening backstage.

No one knows how much blood and tears are hidden behind those glamorous programs.

Lin Tian walked in through the side door, carrying a submachine gun he had redeemed from the system shop.

You must understand, he is the system now, and the system is him.

If you spend enough money, he'll be a god.

Without any concealment or hiding, Lin Tian walked in openly and confidently.

The light shone on him, on his well-tailored suit, and on the cold submachine gun in his hand.

The people on the stage were stunned. The animal trainer's whip stopped in mid-air, the lion's steps faltered, and the ring of fire fell to the ground and burned.

The audience noticed this too, and the laughter gradually subsided, replaced by whispers.

"What is that?"

"gun?"

"Why is there a child with a gun?"

"It's a toy gun, isn't it? Wouldn't a gun weigh at least 23 pounds?"

Lin Tian's gaze swept across the audience, across the stage, and across the well-dressed men, women, and children. He then shouted:

"Those who don't want to die, leave now."

The audience fell silent for a moment.

However, no one cared. Who was this little brat trying to scare?

"Bang!"

Lin Tian fired a shot into the air.

Then screams erupted.

Some people jumped up from their seats, some ran towards the door, and some crawled under their chairs.

The man was shoving, the woman was screaming, and the child was crying.

The scene was in complete chaos.

Lin Tian ignored them and walked towards the stage, towards those who truly deserved to die.

When the circus manager saw the submachine gun in Lin Tian's hand, his face turned pale, and he turned to run away.

Lin Tian pulled the trigger.

"Da da da—"

Bullets rained down on him, striking him like a storm.

Blood splattered everywhere, and his body fell straight down, crashing onto the floor.

The gunfire continued.

The thugs rushed out, some carrying sticks, others holding knives.

They didn't know what had happened, they only knew that someone was causing trouble.

Lin Tian turned his gun around and fired another burst at them.

Bullets pierced their chests and their heads, splattering blood on the walls, the ground, and the colorful props.

One of the thugs hid behind a pillar, peeking out to see who was firing the gun.

Lin Tian didn't give him a chance; the bullet pierced through the pillar and shattered his skull.

He slumped down, leaning against a pillar, leaving a shocking trail of blood.

Someone tried to take the money and run away, but Lin Tian shot him in the leg. He screamed and fell to the ground, scattering banknotes all over the floor.

"Spare me! Spare me!"

Lin Tian walked over and pressed the muzzle of the gun against the back of his head.

"You were a part of those children too."

"I'm not... I just collect the entrance fees..."

"Those who take the money are also accomplices."

The gun went off, and the man lay on the ground, motionless.
