In name only: In the name of Zhao Mengsheng's son!

Many people noticed that the white-haired old man was crying with his head covered. They thought he was moved, but after Lei Shenye calmed down and his daughter helped him out, everyone realized that this man looked just like Commander Lei from the movie!

After some people took photos and posted them online, and with the movie becoming a huge hit, the real Thor was also discovered to be a real person!

One by one, they started praising the old general, saying all sorts of things!

"The old general's longevity is a testament to his great virtue. He fought for the country and did a good job killing those ungrateful bastards. He's protected by the nation's destiny! He'll definitely live to see the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Republic!"

This person also investigated the situation thoroughly and didn't say anything about living to be a hundred years old. The old general is already 96. If you were to say he would live to be a hundred years old, that would be cursing the old general!

"Yes, the old general is truly great. I also looked it up; he only had one son, who was sent to the front lines. That's why he can say he has divine justice behind him. His greatness needs no further explanation!"

Many people are also strongly requesting that the old general come forward and say a few words, or register on Douyin (TikTok), because they want to learn more about him!

Lei Zhen had no idea that he had become an internet celebrity and had already collected all the fragments of the Cullinan, just waiting for him to piece them together.

Thunderclap!

"?"

"What the hell would I need that thing for?"

Lei Zhen lived a frugal life his whole life. He believed that life was simply about having one bowl of rice and sleeping in one bed. He was a seasoned Communist Party member, and money? He accepted whatever the state gave him. Now that his children had their own careers and didn't need his help, he used part of his retirement pension to pay Party dues and part to support the orphans of the soldiers who had died under his command. Later, when those orphans grew up and found jobs, Lei Zhen started paying all his money to the Party.

Lei Zhen felt that even if he died, he could meet his older brother, older sister, his comrades-in-arms, his soldiers, and his eldest son, Lei Zhenhua, with dignity! Most importantly, he could live a clean life as a soldier and meet his teacher with honor!

Even if he knew all this, what difference would it make? Lei Zhen's greatest wish was that his son could survive that war, but alas, the dead cannot be brought back to life! He has lost his son forever, and his heart is already ashen!

Then many people tried to find out who Zhao Miao was, but unfortunately, they couldn't find out. Those who knew didn't dare to say it online. Did they really think they couldn't catch you? Don't try to be clever, don't act tough, and don't think they can't find you!

This movie spread like wildfire, and more and more people went to see it. Everyone was amazed – wow, we can make Hollywood blockbusters like this! How could it not be a blockbuster? The special effects are incredibly expensive, and this is even a movie set underwater! Don't ask about the limits; we have as much as you want! Money is no object!

Originally, this movie was driven by Liu Yifei, a big-name actress, but now that the word-of-mouth has spread, more and more people are watching it. In addition, Director Chen, along with Liu Yifei and a group of staff and actors, are holding press conferences everywhere, saying that they all worked for free and that the money they earn from the movie will be used for poverty alleviation.

Then they also released the "Flower Garland Under the High Mountains" crew, who went to the southwest to donate books and learning materials to children.

That's it! This kind of patriotic movie definitely isn't made to make money. Enough said. Brothers, I'll get you a second viewing.

Donating to our own Southwest is the right thing to do! If you donate to Africa, I don't care if it's a patriotic movie or not, I won't watch it twice. I only want to donate my money to my compatriots! Don't give me any grand theories or talk about African friendship. All I know is that many of my compatriots still can't afford meat or go to school!

Many people also noticed why the male lead and the actor who plays Jin Kailai didn't attend the press conference! So the reporters started asking!

"Director Chen, why didn't Zhang Deng, who plays the male lead Zhao Shui and Jin Kailai, attend the press conference?"

Director Chen had already planned to decline.

"Zhao Shui and Zhang Cheng are students. The actors we've found are not from the entertainment industry, so their studies should be their priority!"

Director Chen had no intention of working with these two young masters. They basically had no acting skills and relied on his manipulation. These two didn't have any other hobbies; they just loved to talk nonsense. Well, not exactly nonsense, but they talked about what their grandfathers had done in the past every day. My two grandsons, you dare to say it, but we dare not listen!

We're decent people, very sensible. There's an old saying: the more you know, the faster you die! But we don't want to know! If these two actually come to the press conference and reveal something, they might be fine, eating and drinking as usual! But for us, that would be the end of us!

Therefore, Zhao Zhongxin did not allow them to participate in such activities, which made Director Chen extremely happy!

But some people have grasped the key point: character actors! Does this mean the main character is also based on a real person?

Director Chen didn't directly address the question; he simply smiled and said...

"Every character in the film is based on a real person. This is just the story of a company in the Vietnam War. Our country has produced many heroes: the Vietnam War, the Korean War, the War of Resistance Against Japan, and so on! Our current good life is all thanks to these heroes! So we made this film not only to commemorate the heroes, but also to use their stories to help our compatriots! This is also why our entire crew acted in the film without pay! Our initial intention was very simple: to give children in impoverished mountain areas an extra piece of meat in their rice bowls, to allow them to attend more schools, and to ensure that there are more minibuses on their way to school."

Upon hearing this, everyone burst into applause! Director Chen truly deserves his reputation as a great director; if he weren't in the arts but pursuing a political career, he would be quite adept at it too!

"Next question!"

Director Chen gestured for the applause to stop.

A reporter raised his hand! Director Chen called on him!

"Director Chen, hello. What I want to say is that some people in the community are saying that there are some bloody scenes in your film, and that it's not suitable for children! Apparently, some children who watched the movie have had nightmares! Are you promoting violence!"

Okay, okay, here comes another one from the community. It's said that your surname isn't Tian!

Director Chen glanced at him, thought for a moment, and said!

"This movie is indeed not suitable for elementary school students, but I think middle and high school students should watch it more often so they know that their stable studies are thanks to these martyrs and heroes. Judging from your accent, you're Japanese, aren't you? On December 13, 1937, you Japanese committed such horrific acts in Nanjing, and you say we're promoting violence? Where are the security guards? Throw him out of here!"

(This is the first chapter today; the second chapter will be posted at noon!)
