Gu Yunmo arrived looking travel-worn, wearing a black trench coat over a white shirt but without a tie.

He stretched his neck slightly and said defiantly, "I didn't hear you clearly, could you please say it again?"

Ling Xiao's lips curled up, and he suddenly turned Yan Zhi's head, making a gesture as if he wanted to kiss her.

Gu Yunmo's face remained expressionless.

Ling Xiao glanced at him out of the corner of his eye, "Xiao Zhi is mine now."

Gu Yunmo retorted, "Is it meaningful to force someone to do something they can't?"

Ling Xiao released Yan Zhi's chin. "What I want, I will get! Unlike you, I don't waver between Xiao Zhi and Yan Fei, not even knowing which one I really want!"

Gu Yunmo raised his hand and touched the back of his neck. "I just got off the plane, I don't have the energy to argue with you. Tell me, what do you want in return for letting them go?"

"Release them?" Ling Xiao asked as if he'd heard a joke. "Do you think I'd release someone I finally got?"

Gu Yunmo held up his phone. "Attorney Ling, your actions are essentially kidnapping my wife. It's perfectly reasonable for me to call the police, isn't it?"

"I don't care. At worst, Xiaozhi and I will die together. Since we can't be together in this life, we can be husband and wife in the next!"

Gu Yunmo used the bundle of rope as a weapon, wrapping it around his hand twice before straightening it.
