I just became a mage, and my skills have become supernatural? What the heck?

The Misty Wasteland, as its name suggests, is a place where everything in sight is shrouded in a gray mist.

Visibility was extremely low, and the air was filled with a faint musty smell and dampness.

"You're in already?"

Lin Mo looked around and couldn't help but frown.

"The environment is terrible, I'm soaking wet, it's so uncomfortable."

He opened the map and took a look.

The entire Misty Wasteland was enormous, and the two hundred examinees were randomly scattered in various corners, so meeting each other certainly required a bit of luck.

"Never mind, I'll just wander around for a bit, find some monsters to grind, and wait for Xia Qingyue to send me Zhao Yu's coordinates."

Lin Mo stretched and walked forward aimlessly.

They hadn't walked more than a few steps.

rustling --

A strange noise came from the bushes ahead.

Immediately afterwards, two corpse hyenas covered in pustules sprang out, their mouths agape and dripping with foul-smelling saliva, and lunged at Lin Mo.

【Corpse Hyena, Lv.10】

"She has a really unique appearance."

Lin Mo curled his lip in disdain.

next moment.

Boom! Boom!

The fireball split into two, instantly killing it.

Kill the Corpse Hyena, +20 points

Current points: 3020

Having previously cleared all 30 floors of the Trial Tower, and with each floor worth 100 points, he already had a massive 3000 points to begin with.

This score is a threshold that the vast majority of test takers may not be able to reach even after the final exam.

Even a mosquito's leg is still meat.

Lin Mo muttered something under his breath and continued to walk forward unsteadily.

Ten minutes later.

[The Fireball spell complained somewhat irritably: This wretched place is too damp; I feel uncomfortable all over.]

Just then.

[The Earth Shield spell jolted: Master! Look behind you! There's a red thing moving!]

"Something red?"

Lin Mo paused and turned to look.

Its distinctive red hair stood out starkly against the hazy mist.

At this moment, the red-haired man seemed to notice someone and suddenly turned his head.

Eyes facing each other.

Lin Mo laughed.

Isn't this the same red-haired thug who was following Zhao Yu around in the square and cursing him the most?

It's called something like... never mind, it's not important anyway, it's just a free point anyway.

"Hey, isn't this Young Master Zhao's favorite?"

Lin Mo smiled and raised his hand in greeting, "What a coincidence? Lost?"

When Red Hair saw Lin Mo's smiling face, he trembled and his face turned deathly pale.

"Wow... wow!"

"Lin Mo?!"

Red Hair felt a chill run down his spine.

Without any hesitation.

He yelled and turned to run away.

"Swift Step!"

Rumble—!

The once flat grass in front of Red Hair suddenly exploded.

A mud wall rose from the ground!

boom--! ! !

A muffled thud.

Red Hair slammed his entire body against the earthen wall.

"Damn it, that hurts like hell..."

Red Hair screamed in agony, blood gushing from his nose, and collapsed to the ground.

"Why are you running? Am I that scary?"

Lin Mo's voice came slowly from behind him, looking down at him.

Red Hair mustered his courage and shouted:

"Lin Mo! Don't be so smug! Our Young Master Zhao is fully prepared, he'll teach you a lesson soon enough..."

Although they say the harshest things.

But Red Hair's trembling legs and frantically shrinking back betrayed his inner fear.

Although I'm protected by my soul and won't die, the pain is still real.

"Tsk tsk tsk..."

Lin Mo shook his head. "What a good dog! You're so loyal. Does your young master Zhao know?"

[The Fireball spell was already impatient: Why waste words on this trash?]

The fireball instantly condensed and flew out.

boom--!

A burst of flames erupted.

Red Hair was completely engulfed by flames.

Immediately afterwards, a soft white light appeared, forming a thin mist-like shield that enveloped his entire body.

"Soul Protection" is now active.

Although he was spared death, this shield also meant that he had been eliminated and was in a state of absolute paralysis, unable to move, and could only wait for the exam to end.

[The Fireball spell scoffed: That's it? Weak, too weak! Weaker than a monster.]

Lin Mo looked at the red-haired man enveloped in a shield and said, "Alright, just watch closely later to see how your master was eliminated."

[Defeat the examinee and plunder 210 points]

"Poor wretch."

Lin Mo glanced at his score, shook his head in disdain, and continued forward.

After walking a few steps, another group of poisonous frogs jumped out.

Lin Mo casually tossed out a fireball.

[The Fireball spell is getting annoyed: It's those wet, gooey monsters again! Can't we have something dry?]

[The Earth Shield spell comforted him: "Brother, just bear with it. The circumstances are what they are; we must overcome these difficulties."]

Lin Mo looked around and stopped.

"strangeness……"

"It's been twenty minutes already. Zhao Yu should have started calling for reinforcements by now, right?"

"Why isn't Xia Qingyue making a sound at all?"

"Could it be that this girl was eliminated immediately after landing?"

Thinking of this, Lin Mo casually edited a message and sent it.

……

at the same time,

Monitoring and command center.

"Old Lin, look over there at Zhao Yu's side!"

Su Wan shook Lin Tianhao's arm.

Lin Tianhao turned his head to look at Zhao Yu's split screen.

On the screen, Zhao Yu is standing in a low-lying swampy area.

A dozen or so candidates had gradually gathered around him.

Moreover, the monitoring map shows that there are even more points of light moving rapidly in that direction.

"Are they gathering manpower?"

Su Wan asked, frowning.

Lin Tianhao narrowed his eyes. As a veteran surveillance officer, he was no stranger to this situation.

Although PvP is allowed in the big exam, everyone is a competitor and will normally be wary of each other.

It made so many people lower their guard and immediately band together...

There is no other reason than the lure of huge profits.

Lin Tianhao glanced at Zhao Lei and said meaningfully, "It seems that our Commander Zhao has really gone all out for this big test."

Xu Wenchang was also stroking his chin, seemingly lost in thought:

"This kind of siege targeting the top of the standings has happened before in previous major exams, but it is rare to see one on such a large scale as this one."

Lin Tianhao naturally has complete faith in his son:

"That's good, it saves Mo'er the trouble of searching for people everywhere. These people have come to us of their own accord, which saves a lot of trouble."

Just then.

Zhao Lei suddenly spoke in a sinister tone:

"Old Lin, aren't you getting ahead of yourself?"

"Can't you tell where this is?"

Lin Tianhao and Xu Wenchang were stunned for a moment, then stared intently.

"A black muddy swamp?"

Lin Tianhao frowned.

Zhao Lei laughed heartily. He had already sent Lin Mo's situation to his son when the first stage of the major exam ended.

"The black mud marshland is the most environmentally challenging area in this region, shrouded in moisture year-round with extremely high humidity."

"In this environment, the activity of fire element will be suppressed, and the power of any fire-type skill will be reduced by at least 30%!"

"Moreover... earth element is also countered by the swampy terrain here. Earth mages can't erect any earth walls or spikes here."

"Do you know what this means, Commander Lin?"

Zhao Lei looked smug.

Even if Lin Tianhao finds out now, it won't matter.

Once the assessment officially begins, these proctors are prohibited from sending any messages to the candidates to prevent anyone from directing them to cheat while looking at the map.

Upon hearing this analysis, Xu Wenchang suddenly realized:

"I see……"

He glanced at Zhao Lei, a hint of surprise in his eyes:

"Old Zhao, it seems your son came prepared, a trap specifically set to target Lin Mo's 'Fire and Earth Dual Elements'!"

Lin Tianhao's expression changed slightly after hearing this.

But he quickly regained his composure and asked in return:

"Zhao Lei, are you so sure that Mo'er will definitely go to the Blackwater Swamp?"

"The Misty Wasteland is so vast, as long as Mo'er doesn't go there, your so-called trap is a joke."

"Ha ha ha ha!"

Zhao Lei laughed extremely wildly:

"Old Lin, you're too naive. If it's a trap, there's bound to be bait."

"As for how they did it... don't worry about that."

Su Wan tugged at Lin Tianhao's sleeve worriedly, "Old Lin, what should we do? If Mo'er really goes, she'll be trapped like a turtle in a barrel..."

Lin Tianhao snorted coldly and retorted.

"Zhao Lei, stop spreading these alarmist rumors. What use is a brain in the face of absolute power?"

"Terrain advantage? Let me tell you, don't dream about it. Even with half the power, even without Earth Flow Wall, my Mo'er can still wipe you all out!"

Although he remained defiant, Lin Tianhao's heart was in his throat.

The nerf to fire magic is negligible.

Lin Mo's output was already off the charts, seriously exceeding its limits.

The key issue is that the earth element has been abandoned...

In one-against-many situations, Earth Flow Wall, with only a five-second cooldown, is a very useful battlefield splitting skill.

It's unusable now...

He stared intently at Lin Mo, who was wandering around on the screen, his palms sweating profusely.

"You little rascal...you better not crash..."

"If we lose this round, I'll really have nowhere to hide my old face..."
