On the westward journey, the mountains became increasingly treacherous.

On this day, a temple suddenly appeared ahead, radiating golden light and auspicious energy. Above the temple gate hung a plaque with four large characters: Little Thunderclap Temple.

Upon seeing this, Xuanzang hurriedly dismounted and straightened his robes: "Amitabha! Could it be that we have arrived at Vulture Peak?"

Sun Wukong leaped into the air, scanned the area with his golden eyes, and landed, saying, "Master, something's not right! This temple may look grand, but it's filled with demonic energy!"

Xuanzang hesitated, "This...how could this be?"

As they were talking, the temple gates swung open, and a group of monks filed out, standing on either side. Immediately afterward, bells and drums rang out in unison, and chanting filled the air. A large Buddha statue, seated on a lotus pedestal, emerged, surrounded by the monks—it was none other than the Buddha himself!

"Tang Sanzang, you have had a long and arduous journey. Now that you have arrived at Mount Ling, why not come in?" the "Buddha" said in a majestic voice.

Xuanzang was both surprised and delighted, and was about to enter the temple.

Lu Chen (Qingfeng Daoren) suddenly stepped forward, blocking Xuanzang's way, and smiled at the "Buddha": "Yellow Eyebrows, you're putting on quite a good act."

The Buddha's expression changed.

Sun Wukong and the others were stunned: "Yellow Eyebrows? What Yellow Eyebrows?"

Lu Chen said calmly, "This is Huang Mei, the Yellow-Eyebrowed Ancestor, a pageboy under Maitreya Buddha. He stole Maitreya's three treasures: the Human Seed Bag, the Golden Bell, and the Chime Hammer. He descended to the mortal realm to become a demon, impersonating Tathagata here and setting up the Little Thunderclap Temple, waiting for the pilgrims to take the bait."

Seeing that he had been exposed, "Buddha" simply stopped pretending and transformed into his true form—an old Taoist priest with yellow eyebrows, wielding a spiked club, laughing wildly: "Well done, Taoist! You have some discernment! Now that you know the formidable reputation of your Yellow-Eyebrow Grandpa, why don't you kneel down and accept your death?"

Sun Wukong was furious and swung his staff to strike!

Undeterred, the Yellow-Eyebrowed Ancestor engaged Sun Wukong in battle. After thirty rounds, he suddenly pulled out a seed bag and tossed it into the air!

The bag grew longer in the wind, its mouth opened wide, and an immense suction force surged out! Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing were caught off guard and were sucked in!

"Wukong!" Xuanzang exclaimed in surprise.

Lu Chen laughed: "Human seed bag, what a treasure."

The Yellow-Eyebrowed Ancestor said smugly, "Taoist, you're the only one left. Why don't you surrender?"

Lu Chen did not answer, but simply took out the Chaos Brick and tossed it gently.

The Chaos Brick flew into the air, then trembled, releasing billions of chaotic energies. The suction force of the humanoid bag, upon encountering the chaotic energy, vanished without a trace, like a clay ox sinking into the sea!

The Yellow-Eyebrowed Ancestor was shocked: "This... what kind of magic weapon is this?!"

Lu Chen reached out and summoned the Chaos Brick back into his hand. He weighed it in his hand and said, "This bag of yours can hold people and things, but it can't hold chaos. Because chaos is the mother of all things, not the child of all things."

The Yellow-Eyebrowed Ancestor refused to believe in superstition and desperately tried to activate the Human Seed Bag. The bag's suction power surged, but no matter how hard he tried, the chaotic energy only rippled slightly and remained completely still.

Lu Chen shook his head and threw out the Chaos Brick—

"Thump!"

Huangmei Patriarch collapsed upon hearing the sound and fainted.

Lu Chen stepped forward, took the human seed bag from his waist, and then took out a golden cymbal and a chime from his pocket, putting them into his sleeve.

Sun Wukong and his two companions struggled inside the bag. Lu Chen gently patted the bag, and the three rolled out, covered in dust and dirt.

"Master! Where's the bag?" Sun Wukong jumped up.

Lu Chen shook the seed bag in his hand: "Here it is."

Sun Wukong's eyes lit up: "What a treasure! Let me, Old Sun, play with it!"

Lu Chen put away the bag and said with a smile, "Don't rush, once I've figured it out, I'll make a replica for each of you."

As they were talking, a great light shone brightly in the sky, and Maitreya Buddha came riding on a cloud with a smile.

"Amitabha! Daoist Qingfeng, please have mercy!" Maitreya landed, looking at the unconscious Yellow-Eyebrowed Ancestor, his smile undiminished, "This wicked beast stole my treasure and descended to the mortal realm to become a demon, thanks to the Daoist's subjugation."

Lu Chen looked at Maitreya with a half-smile: "Buddha, you've arrived just in time."

Maitreya's smile froze for a moment, then returned to normal: "Well... this old monk was delayed by something, I'm sorry."

Lu Chen didn't expose the truth, but took out the human seed bag, the golden cymbal, and the chime mallet, and handed them over: "Buddha's treasures, return them to their rightful owner."

Maitreya accepted it with a beaming smile: "Thank you, Daoist Master! Thank you, Daoist Master!"

Lu Chen added, "Although Ancestor Huangmei was acting under orders, how many devout men and women has this Little Thunderclap Temple deceived, and how much has it damaged the reputation of Buddhism? When Buddha returns, he must discipline it properly."

Maitreya nodded repeatedly, "Of course, of course." He picked up the Yellow-Eyebrowed Ancestor and rode away on a cloud.

Sun Wukong watched Maitreya's departing figure and sneered, "That fat old man, he's all smiles and hides a knife, he's definitely not a good person."

Lu Chen laughed: "He's a smiling Buddha, it would be strange if he didn't smile."

Xuanzang was still shaken: "Master, if you hadn't seen through my deception, I would have almost been tricked."

Lu Chen patted him on the shoulder: "Holy Monk, remember, if Mount Ling exists, it resides in your heart. If Mount Ling does not exist, worshipping any number of Buddhas is in vain."

Xuanzang seemed to be deep in thought.

The master and his disciples continued their journey westward.

Next stop, Lion Camel Ridge.

The three demons—the Green Lion, the White Elephant, and the Roc—gathered in righteousness, turning the 800-mile-long Lion Camel Ridge into a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood.

Lu Chen looked westward, his gaze slightly narrowed.

"This is going to be difficult to act out."
