Flood Apocalypse: Starting with a God-Tier Fishing Rod

After the group moved into the wooden house and settled in, they found a place to stay.

For the next two days, Lu Fan spent his time not only reorganizing the forces in the East Island refugee slums, but also fishing at the pebble beach where he had previously landed on the island.

There aren't many people here, and it's quite secluded.

The fishing catch over the two days wasn't amazing, but it was practical.

There was salt, several sets of thermal underwear, and a multi-functional entrenching tool...

Most importantly, the number of fishing attempts finally reached 97.

Just three more times and I can upgrade my fishing rod!

Soon, the third day arrived.

We need to meet at the island gate at 6:00 AM.

Lu Fan got up at four o'clock, squatted on the gravel beach, and made a final sprint for fishing.

Whoosh!

The water broke open, and Little White poked its pink head out, still holding half a twitching sea fish in its mouth.

When it saw Lu Fan, it shook its head and let out two soft whimpers.

"Little Bai! You'll have to work hard for the next few days!"

Lu Fan reached out and scratched its smooth chin. "Once we're done with this busy period, there will be plenty of potatoes!"

Little White wagged its tail contentedly, then dived into the water to continue guarding the bottomless trench to the north, as instructed by Lu Fan.

Not long

The float suddenly sank.

Lu Fan flicked his wrist and lifted the fishing rod.

A vial containing a clear liquid swung over.

Lu Fan held the bottle of medicine, his eyes lighting up.

This stuff, when combined with strong medicine, is practically a medical miracle!

If we could get our hands on Cheng Xue's alpha-type serum and incorporate it...

That's the super soldier serum with no side effects!

"Good stuff, let's save it!"

Lu Fan put away the medicine and cast his line again.

Not long after, there was another pulling sensation.

This time, a huge thing came up: a clownfish model about half the length of a person, made of some kind of high-strength metal, and emitting a strange fragrance.

[Fishing successful! Obtained - 1 one-time decoy torpedo]

"It's good stuff too!"

Lu Fan took a deep breath, accepted the item, and continued fishing.

"That's 99 times!"

The last shot!

Whether a bicycle can turn into a motorcycle depends on this one tremor!

Whoosh!

The fishing hook pierced the darkness and fell into the surging waves.

half an hour later

The distant buoy suddenly sank to the bottom of the water.

Immediately afterwards, a strange, colorful light appeared beneath the water's surface!

"Holy crap!? What does 'colorful' mean?!"

Lu Fan jumped to his feet, his breath almost stopping.

Above gold? Could it be at the awesome level?!

However, before he could even laugh out loud, the colored light flickered twice, like a light bulb with a faulty connection, and quickly faded into the most ordinary white.

"..."

Lu Fan rubbed his eyes.

play?

Where did the colorful light go?

He held his breath and pulled the rod up with all his might.

Whoosh!

A golden shadow burst out of the water, frantically wagging its tail in the air, splashing seawater all over Lu Fan's face.

Is this thing... a living creature?

[Fishing successful! Obtained - 1 Different Colored Carp]

[Introduction: The king of carp, a multicolored carp that can survive in seawater, but needs to be kept in a container, otherwise it will die!]

Lu Fan held the slippery carp and stared at its dead fish eyes for two seconds.

It really is a fish!

Apart from its golden color, it's no different from the ones that cost five yuan a pound at the market.

What a disappointment!

Just then, the long-awaited notification sound in my mind suddenly rang out.

[Congratulations, host, you have met the requirements for upgrading to a level 2 fishing rod. Would you like to upgrade now? Upgrade time: 3 minutes]

Lu Fan felt a surge of excitement and was just about to upgrade.

An old voice suddenly rang out behind him, interrupting him.

"Young man, you're quite skilled! You can catch such beautiful carp in the sea? I haven't seen one in years!"

Lu Fan's hair stood on end, and he quickly turned his head to look.

On the dimly lit pebble beach, an old man with gray hair, holding an umbrella and carrying a pile of fishing gear, walked over with a smile.

That's too close!

He hadn't even noticed the person's presence!

It's absolutely bizarre!

Good morning, sir!

Lu Fan pretended to exchange pleasantries, quickly removed the carp from its shell, and gripped the fishing rod tightly.

"Sir, you've come here to fish? This spot has great feng shui. I have a bit of diarrhea, so I'll leave now!"

After saying that, he turned around and tried to slip away.

"etc."

The old man called out to him!

Lu Fan paused, making a gripping motion as if holding a gun.

If anything seems amiss with this old man, he must deal with it immediately!

"Young man, this is for you!"

The old man slowly took out a small bucket from his fishing tackle bag, which was half full of water.

"This carp is so beautiful, it seems to have a spirit about it, it's such a waste to eat it! Let's keep it in a bucket, maybe it will bring us great fortune!"

Lu Fan stared at the blue plastic bucket, then looked at the old man's unfathomable, deep eyes.

"Thank you... thank you, sir."

He took the bucket, quickly threw the carp in, and ran into the rain without looking back.

Until the figure completely disappeared.

The old man then looked away and chuckled.

He put down the black umbrella, skillfully set up the fishing rod, and gently scratched his neck with his withered fingers.

The collar was torn open at one corner.

Beneath that loose skin, three deep blue scales were clearly visible.

"A golden carp...that's interesting!"

……

We returned to the cabin.

Lu Fan entered his room and leaned against the door, panting heavily.

What exactly is the old man's background?

Judging from their clothes, they seem to be from the island, but why are they fishing in the slums?

Lu Fan couldn't understand it.

He casually placed the bucket containing the carp in the corner, sat on the edge of the bed, and calmed his racing heart.

No matter who he is, nothing can stop him from leveling up and developing!

He took out his legendary fishing rod and held it in both hands.

"upgrade!"

hum-

The fishing rod began to vibrate.

A layer of flowing light spots appeared on the originally dull surface of the rod, as if some kind of liquid metal had been injected, instantly elevating its texture several levels.

Three minutes later, the light faded.

The panel reappeared.

"We've got it!"

Holding the brand-new fishing rod, Lu Fan was so excited he wanted to give it a couple of swings.

His physical strength has been restored, which means he no longer has to be so frugal as before, only able to fish a few times a day.

As long as you eat well and sleep well, fishing dozens of times a day is no problem!

And that directional fishing is simply a magical skill that can make up for anything you lack!

The survival tech tree iterates at a speed far beyond imagination!

Before Lu Fan could finish celebrating, the spatial ring on his finger suddenly started flashing again.

"Holy crap! There's another expert!?"

[Mental strength detected: 30 points; spatial ring completes its first evolution!]

Current space: 30 cubic meters.

[New Feature: Removes "System Output" restrictions, allowing storage of any non-living matter!]

Lu Fan looked at the expanded storage space and his breathing became rapid.

Previously, it could only carry things caught by fishing; if you wanted to carry something else, you had to use a bag.

Now?

As long as it can fit, this is a mobile warehouse!

Next time we go scavenging for supplies, we don't need to bring anything; we can just take everything!

This is such a wonderful surprise!

Just as Lu Fan's eyes lit up, Zhang Xiaomin's urgent knocking came from outside the door.

"Lu Fan! It's almost six o'clock, if we don't leave now we'll miss the assembly!"
