I met my whole family through Baidu Tieba.

Chapter 394: I suggest you don't call me "baby," just call me "mommy."

After acknowledging Wen Chulan's line of thinking, Shen Kang told her something else.

"We're in the initial stage right now, time is tight, manpower is limited, and the business hasn't expanded yet, which is why we're having the maintenance staff from Anjia Home Services also serve as on-site engineers for Huanhuan.com. But this is just a temporary measure. If we continue like this, it will easily lead to confusion about responsibilities and make management difficult. So, Chu Lan, I'm planning to hire another batch of people for Anjia Home Services' maintenance department to fill those positions. From now on, their work relationships will be transferred to Huanhuan.com, and they'll be under your management."

Wen Chulan thought about it and felt somewhat reluctant.

She's doing quite well now. She's an in-home engineer, supported by Anjia Household Services. Anjia also provides logistics. All she needs to do is manage the online exchange platform and the warehousing and quality inspection center.

If these on-site engineers were to officially switch to Huanhuan.com to receive their salaries, her workload would increase dramatically.

However, Shen Kang's words also made sense; this was a temporary measure, not a long-term solution, and she had nothing to argue with.

"Alright."

Wen Chulan reluctantly agreed, "But it's definitely not possible now. Huanhuan.com hasn't even closed many deals yet, and it still needs your financial support. It's definitely not up to the task."

Shen Kang smiled, "I didn't plan to have them transfer over right now, I just wanted you to prepare mentally in advance. The specific timing of the transfer will depend on our financial situation..."

With things settled here, Shen Kang sent a text message to Hu Xiaoxue, telling her she could come back.

He then left the warehouse quality inspection center.

After waiting for a short while at the gate of the courtyard, Hu Xiaoxue led Wu Jiahao back.

Wu Jiahao was still a little unsatisfied.

He rarely experiences "dating" with girls like this. He felt he had a great time strolling around the street, so why did it end so quickly?

Upon seeing Shen Kang, he opened his mouth, almost saying, "Old Shen, why don't you stay and watch the warehouse a little longer?" But after opening his mouth, he was too embarrassed to say it, so he remained silent and pretended to be aloof.

Shen Kang seemed to have forgotten about the "refund for overpayment and supplement for underpayment" matter. He didn't ask Hu Xiaoxue how much money she had received or ask her for the remaining money. He simply said goodbye and then left with Wu Jiahao, heading back to Yangke University.

This made Hu Xiaoxue quite happy.

When she was strolling through the backstreet with Wu Jiahao earlier, some of the things he said left her speechless, and she couldn't help but roll her eyes. Now that "Shen Kang is forgetful," she's gotten a free sum of money, and her mood has improved a lot.

……

It was almost 1 a.m. when I got back to Yangon University of Science and Technology.

Shen Kang then led Wu Jiahao directly to the cafeteria for lunch.

Shen Kang had been starving for a while and had a good appetite, enjoying his chicken leg.

Wu Jiahao, sitting opposite, suddenly said, "Old Shen, Hu Xiaoxue seems to like me."

"..."

Shen Kang swallowed the chicken leg meat in his mouth, glanced up at him, and asked, "What makes you say that?"

Wu Jiahao put down his chopsticks and explained what had just happened: "When we were shopping earlier, I accidentally called her 'baby,' and she wasn't angry."

As she spoke, she stared at Shen Kang, "Although you're not as good as me in business, you seem to have quite a bit of insight into relationships, Lao Shen. What do you think?"

Shen Kang couldn't help but retort, "How do I have any insights into relationships between men and women? I've been single since birth and am still a virgin. What insights could I possibly have about relationships between men and women?"

Wu Jiahao asked in confusion, "But when you analyzed Ouyang Yu's relationship problems before, didn't you speak very logically? I felt that what you said made a lot of sense."

Shen Kang choked up.

He couldn't very well say that he was just talking nonsense to fool Ouyang Yu, with the aim of motivating Ouyang Yu and getting him passionate about the research and development work.

So, he could only give a vague reply: "Okay."

Wu Jiahao then asked, "So you think she likes me?"

How could Shen Kang know this? So he could only continue to make things up: "I don't know. But you seem to have quite a bit of experience in this area, don't you? You called a girl you just met 'baby' right away."

Wu Jiahao was a little arrogant, but also appeared modest: "It's alright, it's alright."

He calls this trick "Baby," and he learned it from a classmate. He had tried it several times before, but the results weren't great. The girls' reactions were quite strong, and not the positive kind.

However, Hu Xiaoxue didn't react much and wasn't angry, which is why Wu Jiahao felt that Hu Xiaoxue liked him.

Seeing that the topic seemed to have been successfully shifted, Shen Kang continued to change the subject: "So when you were dating, you always called your girlfriend 'baby'?"

Wu Jiahao was speechless for a moment.

From his freshman year of college, he was determined to start his own business, and that determination lasted until his junior year. He did have some female friends who were interested in him, but perhaps because he was too focused on his entrepreneurial ambitions, none of them were successful.

So, like Shen Kang, he's still single.

However, he was too embarrassed to say it aloud, feeling ashamed, so he could only vaguely reply, "I've dated two, and they both called me 'baby.' Why?"

Shen Kang continued to steer the conversation toward a less common topic: "It's nothing, it's just that I feel it's a bit inappropriate to call my girlfriend 'baby'."

Upon hearing this, Wu Jiahao was taken aback. "Why? Calling someone 'baby' is so intimate and sweet."

Shen Kang started making things up: "It's sweet, and intimate, but if you call your girlfriend 'baby' too often, she'll develop a strong psychological suggestion that she really feels like a baby who needs your care in everything, and you'll completely become the one who gives."

"So, my personal suggestion is to call your girlfriend 'Mom' directly."

"By reversing roles, you can create a psychological suggestion in her that 'she is the mother,' stimulating her maternal instincts and making her take the initiative to care for you, turning her into the one who gives. Men, you need to be good to yourselves..."

Shen Kang was spouting complete nonsense.

Wu Jiahao listened in a daze, and actually started to think about it—mainly because Shen Kang had already given him the impression of a "love expert" when they were at the milk tea shop. He figured that what Shen Kang said about relationships should have some merit.

Mom, using suggestion to make her take care of me instead, seems to make some sense, right?

At Shen Kang's table, there were two other boys who had also arrived late and were eating.

Hearing Shen Kang and the others talking about things like "dating" and "calling each other baby," the two boys, who were eating idly, listened in while they ate.

When Shen Kang suddenly called out "Mommy!", the two of them couldn't hold back and spat out their food, spraying it onto each other's faces. The remaining food choked them, causing them to cough incessantly afterward, almost killing themselves.

After finally stopping, both of them cast resentful glances at Shen Kang.

After sensing their gazes, Shen Kang smiled sheepishly at the two of them before continuing to eat.

Changing the subject was quite effective; Wu Jiahao stopped talking to him and was eating his meal casually, deep in thought.

After finishing the meal and leaving the cafeteria, Wu Jiahao was still thinking about "calling her mother," and unconsciously followed Shen Kang the whole way.

It wasn't until he reached the underground parking lot of an administration building and noticed that Shen Kang had stopped in front of a BMW that he finally snapped out of his reverie about "calling for Mom".

"Old Shen, what are we doing here?"

Wu Jiahao turned his head and looked around, and found that it was a parking lot.

"Oh, I need to go out and take care of something."

As Shen Kang spoke, he took out his keys, opened the car door, and got in. "Get in."

With some surprise, Wu Jiahao went straight to the back seat, opened the car door, and sat down behind Shen Kang, just like a leader.

Shen Kang was happy to do so, and drove straight out of the parking lot.

"Is this your car?" Wu Jiahao asked politely from the back seat.

Although he doesn't own a car, Guo Pinyan does.

However, Guo Pinyan's car wasn't a luxury brand like that. Compared to that, BMW is quite famous, which is why he was a little surprised that Lao Shen drove a BMW.

Shen Kang said, "It belongs to a friend; can I borrow it to drive?"

Wu Jiahao understood, "I see."

The two chatted idly as the car drove out of Yang University of Science and Technology and headed west.

About twenty minutes later, we arrived near a shopping district.

Shen Kang found a place, parked the car, and led Wu Jiahao to a teahouse.

Just as I was about to reach the door, two men walked towards me from the other side of the road.

Shen Kang noticed them and stopped immediately.

When the two men came in front of him, Shen Kang greeted the man in the lead and exchanged a few pleasantries.

As an aside, he also gave Wu Jiahao a brief introduction to this man.

"This is Mr. Li, the Southwest Region General Manager of Canon China."

I went to the hospital today to have a splinter removed from under my skin. When I got to the entrance, I realized that I was wearing a short-sleeved shirt that I had left as a souvenir from the mental hospital. I felt like I had become a work of art at that moment.

Nobody reads my posts on WeChat Moments, so I'm sharing them here. This is part of my personal space.

By the way, let me clarify, I didn't go to a mental hospital, it was a public hospital. I don't have a mental illness, and this short-sleeved shirt is a promotional shirt I bought online.
