The sudden increase in strength of Shazam's arrival finally made it impossible for the zombie Mongo to maintain his arrogant confidence.

The combined pressure from the three of them was too great, and the consciousness within the fleshy bud was simply unable to control his body as perfectly as when he was alive.

So it was Mongo's body that was constantly getting injured next.

He finally stopped maintaining that aloof and dignified demeanor and instead began to roar angrily.

He denounced Li Zhen's "insidiousness".

Because Li Zhen had clearly been prepared in advance, even if the clown hadn't pulled this sudden stunt, Li Zhen had already anticipated the scene of the three of them ganging up on him.

He questioned Rob's "betrayal".

Even though he knew that Rob had never truly submitted to him, he still mocked Rob, saying that if he hadn't intentionally taken him under his wing, Rob would have been trapped in the illusion of Black Mercy for the rest of his life.

As for Shazam.

There's not much to say about Mongo.

Shazam's second transformation resulted in an even more silent fighting style than Lee Jung's current form. In the blink of an eye, this innocent young man, Shazam, transformed into a Witrum warrior with an even more authentic flavor than Kara.

Cold, taciturn, and ruthless. Li Zhen guessed it might be because she had casually replaced all the "Olympus" in the blessing Diana had recited with "Virtrum".

He's not quite proficient at using his signature hand chop yet.

After nearly having his chest fleshy bud chopped off once again by Li Zhen and Sha Zan, the zombie Mongo was unusually furious.

"You forced me to do this!"

He deliberately retreated a considerable distance, creating some distance between himself and the enemy, then raised his hand and ripped a piece of flesh from his own chest.

Next, he crushed a crystal bottle and sprinkled the black particles that were stuck to the shards onto it.

Rob the Wolf squinted at it, and then his expression changed instantly.

"Run for your lives! This guy still has so many seeds of black mercy!"

The zombie Mongo raised his hand and threw the piece of flesh covered in black particles toward Li Zhen and the others.

Having learned his lesson the hard way, Rob turned and ran, wanting to escape the arena.

Li Zhen also turned solemn and stopped his charge.

He had already heard from Rob about how troublesome the Black Mercy, this bizarre cosmic plant, was. After being fed with Mongo's own flesh and blood, this strange plant would directly possess a physical strength similar to Mongo's, able to move quickly like a living creature, and would be very difficult to destroy in advance.

After all, touching the body means that one's consciousness has already fallen into an illusion.

Shazam, having never suffered a loss before, continued his silent charge towards Mongo.

The flesh was almost instantly swallowed by the black particles, then split in mid-air into nearly a hundred dark, strange plant-like clumps, resembling starfish on Earth, which headed towards Sha Zanzan.

Shazam unleashed a torrent of lightning.

The Black Compassionate Group emitted blue smoke from the electric shocks, but showed no sign of being stopped.

Shazam finally realized the danger and tried to use his speed to dodge it.

But once those dark creatures got close enough to Shazam, they became like flies that had smelled blood, their target clear and their speed skyrocketing.

Finally, a dark shadow skimmed along the floor, and with a few nimble leaps, grabbed Shazam's ankle.

The warrior, who had been so fierce just moments before, fell from mid-air like a kite with a broken string the instant he was touched.

He fell to the ground like a dead dog and lay motionless.

The remaining Black Mercy members, not wanting to waste their forces sharing with the already-claimed Black Mercy, immediately dispersed and attacked Li Zhen and his group. "Damn it!"

Li Zhen's lament wasn't about Sha Zan's swift downfall.

Rather, the zombie Mongo was clearly driven to desperation, unleashing far too much Black Mercy at once.

Several more black tufts of mercy turned and charged toward Mongo himself.

Almost the instant Shazam fell, Mongo was also embraced by a mass of black mercy, and then his whole body froze.

"No way! This thing can't even tell friend from foe! Has it lost its mind?!"

What else is there to say?

Li Zhen turned around and wanted to run away, but the faint whooshing sound behind him told him that Black Mercy, who possessed physical strength equal to Meng Ge, was someone he could not outrun.

In desperation, Li Zhen had no choice but to switch bodies once again using Rachel's dark magic.

Just as he stored his original body back in the Shadow Space, a black benevolent tendril, like lightning, unfurled from behind him and enveloped Li Zhen's divine body.

In her last glimpse before her consciousness faded, Li Zhen saw the wolf Rob, snot spurting from his nose in terror, barely managing to squeeze out of the arena despite the burning pain from the laser shield, when he was immediately embraced by a black flower of mercy that was completely unafraid of laser burns.

Nearly a hundred more Black Mercies surged out of the arena, charging towards the rest of the chaotic crowd. Even the clown leading a group of rebels couldn't escape, yelling "What the hell is this?" as he was ensnared and fell.

A portion of the black merciful creatures chased after the noisy crowd, while another portion grabbed onto corpses and began to reproduce a second time.

Jason and the two Lanterns, who were locked in a struggle, were not spared either; the almost overwhelming black torrent quickly engulfed them.

Ten minutes later, the entire war fortress came to a complete standstill, turning into a dead star drifting aimlessly in the universe.

After everything returned to silence.

The two most sinister old silver coins in the war fortress both stirred at the same time.

A shadow rose from Li Zhen's body, and a pale hand grasped the Scepter of Destruction, which had been seized on Apokolips, and gently touched the black compassion that was wrapped around Li Zhen.

The destructive power erupted and burned for three or four minutes before turning the strange plant to ashes.

Li Zhen's pupils, which had rolled back to their original color, finally came to their senses, and she collapsed to the ground with a thud.

The zombie Mongo's fleshy bud on his chest finally disappeared, and his yellowish-brown skin turned into a dark orange-red. He exhaled a breath of sulfur and then tore open the black Compassion covering him with one hand.

The two silver coins, each with a backup plan, thus freed Black Mercy from its restraints.

But they didn't start fighting immediately. Li Zhen, who had fallen to the ground, was shivering and curled up in a ball. Then she hugged her head tightly, and her eyes began to redden.

Mongo staggered a couple of steps and fell to the ground with a thud, his orange-glowing eyes staring blankly into the darkness.

The scene was so bizarre that even Rachel, who was in the Shadow Dimension, was dumbfounded.

She carefully connected with Li Zhen's telepathic connection, wanting to see what exactly happened to Li Zhen in the illusion.

But Rachel was rejected by Li Zhen's consciousness for the first time.

"Give me some time to process this."

"Your soul wasn't harmed, so what exactly happened to you?"

Rachel couldn't help but worry.

Li Zhen struggled to her feet.

His eyes shifted repeatedly as he struggled with his thoughts.

In addition to the usual indifference, a gentleness that even Rachel couldn't understand also firmly resided within it.

After a long silence of several dozen seconds, Li Zhen's eyes finally regained some of their former brilliance. "Damn it, this awful plant should be extinct! How long have I been trapped here?"

"About ten minutes."

"In the illusion, I lived on Earth for twenty years as an ordinary person!"
