The aliens who were picked up by Superman at the beginning

Chapter 90 Magic Operation

Regarding Batman assigning the task of recruiting magic-based heroes to the Justice League to Shazam.

In fact, Li Zhen felt that Batman had most likely made a bad move.

Is Shazam really capable of doing this job?

However, on the other hand, this might be the only option available.

There's a shortage of manpower, but putting aside his recklessness, impulsiveness, and lack of common sense compared to adults, Shazam isn't that unreliable.

She is kind and righteous, takes responsibility in critical moments, and while possessing considerable combat power, she is not entirely without influence in the magical world.

This is likely due to the blessing of the six gods' power bestowed upon the current Shazam by the former Eternal Council's old wizard.

The Eternal Council's reputation and achievements should be considered quite respectable in the Earth's magical world.

Before Shazam set off, he carried a Justice League-exclusive communicator. What Li Zhen meant by asking Batman for Shazam's contact information was actually Bruce contacting Cyborg to remotely implant a program into Li Zhen's phone.

Through the program, Lee Jung can connect to a special channel of all Justice League members who have not yet left the organization.

It's simple and easy to use, just like calling the members who are officially employed or affiliated with the Justice League.

Clicking on Shazam's avatar, a moment later, Shazam's signature goofy voice came from the phone's speaker.

"Who?"

"I am Jeanne."

"Oh! This is Shazam's voicemail. He's busy right now, but you can leave a message first, and he'll see it in a bit~"

Li Zhen frowned and pulled her phone away.

"Are you kidding me?"

"Who?"

"Oh! This is Shazam's voicemail—"

Li Zhen hung up the phone with a dark expression, barely managing to resist the urge to smash it.

He took back all the words he had just used to defend Shazam; this guy was just a good-for-nothing brat.

Which Justice League member would set up a voicemail in their emergency communicator?!

Instead of doing anything productive, Shazam has managed to make the most of his communicator.

Looking back at Rachel, who was squatting by the fish tank teasing the fish, Li Zhen thought for a moment and then called Steelbone again.

The steel frame caught instantly.

Li Zhen, feeling a little embarrassed, asked Steel Bone if he could help her contact Shazam.

The latter means concise and to the point.

As a cybernetic cyborg capable of controlling the global network, Cyborg could easily bypass Shazam's voicemail do-not-disturb function set in his emergency communicator.

But just over ten seconds later, Cyborg replied with an unexpected message.

"Shazam has probably gone missing."

Li Zhen's temples began to throb faintly.

He rubbed his face, feeling a bit numb, and his voice was full of helplessness.

What does it mean to "should have gone missing"?

"Although no anomalies were detected and no distress calls were received, the locator Shazam was carrying showed that he had not moved his location for a full seventeen hours."

Well, something must have happened.

As for why Steel Bones couldn't detect anything abnormal, it's probably because of magic.

Steelbone's voice carried a hint of pleading.

"Jane, the Justice League doesn't have many people available right now."

Li Zhen's chewing muscles twitched twice.

Although it feels like getting involved would be another problem, considering that Rachel's magical seal will require the help of magical heroes who might join the Justice League in the future.

Taking a deep breath, Li Zhen looked at Rachel, who had somehow walked up to him, and asked Steelbone in a low voice.

Where is the last change signal record for the locator located?

"On the edge of Egypt, in a country called Kandak."

Steelbone was so clever; he even sent Kandak's location to Li Zhen's phone.

Kandak, the territory of Black Adam, Shazam's nemesis?

After hanging up the call, Li Zhen was somewhat confused.

What is Shazam doing there?

Wasn't Shazam's first solo fight before joining the Justice League the one where he killed Black Adam?

Putting aside the possibility of Black Adam being resurrected, in the list of magic users that Batman provided to Shazam, Black Adam certainly doesn't seem like the type who would be chosen to join the Justice League, right?

Besides, the recruiter is Shazam.

Li Zhen looked at Rachel with a hint of inquiry in her eyes.

Could this girl refuse to seek help because she thinks it's too much trouble?

But clearly, Rachel isn't going to be polite to Li Zhen now.

"Just like when you asked me for help, when you ask something of someone, you always have to give something in return—or you might need to help others first."

well.

Rachel didn't stand on ceremony with him, which made Li Zhen even happier, showing that in this girl's heart, Li Zhen was at least one of her own.

"Actually, I have to go no matter what. Speaking of which, I still owe Shazan a favor to repay."

Rachel placed her small hand on Li Zhen's outstretched palm and winked at him.

"When did you owe him a favor?"

"That time in the Batcave, before we set off for the world where the Flash was imprisoned."

Li Zhen tried to play the riddle-maker in front of Rachel, just smiling and winking without revealing the answer.

But Rachel just glanced at him indifferently before turning her head away.

"You're really no fun."

Li Zhen was feeling somewhat discouraged because she couldn't flirt with him every time.

In fact, this so-called human connection is not that mysterious.

After Li Zhen was equipped with equipment worth hundreds of millions provided by the Batcave, Shazam, who had come to satisfy his curiosity, timidly sidled up to Li Zhen while Nightwing was briefly away.

The two exchanged a few words briefly.

Shazam felt guilty and embarrassed about his initial ambition upon arriving at the Batcave and his subsequent fear of Wonder Woman in the Flashpoint world, which prevented him from ever venturing into Flashpoint again, leaving Lee Jung to shoulder all the burdens.

Li Zhen didn't care at first. He never expected Shazam's help in the first place. After all, it was really unnecessary to let a real child face the cruelty of the Flashpoint world.

But looking at this big, awkward guy, Li Zhen casually made a joke at the time.

"What can you do to help me? You can't exactly bestow a blessing upon me, can you?"

As a result, Shazam's eyes lit up, and he actually let Lee Jung put one of his hands on him, while he quietly chanted a spell to grant Lee Jung the ability to transform into Shazam.

Although it wasn't used in the Flashpoint world afterward, Shazam did do him a favor, at least giving Lee Jung an extra trump card that no one else knew about.

This is also why, after leaving the Flashpoint world, Li Zhen subconsciously looked around the Batcave searching for Shazam.

However, Shazam had already left Batman's command at that time.

Pulling Rachel along, they flew away from the villa. Enveloped by the force field, the two instantly and silently broke through the speed of sound by twenty times, speeding towards Egypt.

This speed is currently the limit that Li Zhen's force field can achieve, allowing herself and a payload within a certain mass range to fly at twenty times the speed of sound without affecting the surrounding environment.

Without the help of a force field, if someone dared to fly at this speed inside the Earth, it would be like setting off firecrackers around the Earth, causing massive explosions wherever they passed.

Of course, he wouldn't fly very far before Superman knocked him down from the sky.

The straight-line distance between Metropolis and Kandak is about 6,000 miles. In just over 20 minutes, Li Zhen pulled Rachel down from the sky and precisely arrived at the endpoint of the last movement of Shazam's signal.

The wind pressure and force field blew away the thin layer of yellow sand on the ground, and Li Zhenyi could see a Justice League communicator half buried in the soil when he looked down.

A communicator engraved with Shazam's iconic magical lightning bolt symbol on his chest.

Rachel reached out and the communicator flew out of the yellow earth and landed in her hand.

After closing her eyes and sensing, Rachel gave a number that Li Zhen wasn't too surprised by.

"At least four different magic users have fought here."

"————I can practically guess what happened."

"

Li Zhen sighed.

It's nothing more than Shazam completing the recruitment of some of the magicians on the list, when he suddenly learns of a crisis related to the magic world through a certain magician.

This big oaf probably also considered that the Justice League was currently stretched thin and couldn't spare any more people, so he simply joined a few wizards who had just agreed to join the Justice League on the mission.

The last group encountered danger in Kandak, Egypt, but it is unknown whether this danger is related to Black Adam.

Of course, it's not difficult to conduct an investigation.

After all, he was now standing on Kandak's territory.

All you need to do is make a little noise.

She removed the protective gear covering her entire body, quickly reached out and lifted Rachel up by the waist, then gently lifted her left foot before slamming it down heavily.

A moderate earthquake quickly swept through Kandak, a country that is not very large to begin with.

In the distance, after a bolt of lightning, accompanied by billowing yellow sand, a figure descended from the sky, rushing towards Li Zhen's location.
