Tokyo: Magical Girl Shatters My Dream of Going Public

Kurokawa's peripheral vision suddenly locked onto a spot.

Behind those ever-growing clumps of flesh, at the boundary between shadow and writhing flesh.

A figure stood there silently.

An old woman dressed in a dark, outdated kimono, with a hunched back and sparse, gray hair.

The dark red glow emanating from the surrounding flesh and blood of the walls cast a faint, eerie light on her wrinkled face, which resembled dried orange peel, making her numb and empty expression all the more chilling.

[Highway Grandma]!

Alarm bells rang in Kurokawa's mind!

He didn't even have time to ponder why the other person was there, or why they were merely observing—

Four or five newly formed lumps of flesh, with their silent mouthparts split open and their slimy tentacles waving, pounced right in front of them!

"roll!"

Kurokawa roared, his arm muscles bulging, his twin blades drawing sharp, eerie blue arcs as he precisely severed two tentacles aimed at his face. At the same time, he sidestepped another lump of flesh, his blades cutting into its core, causing splattering fluid.

However, in that split second of fighting and dodging—

He looked up again at the shadows.

Empty and desolate.

The old woman has disappeared.

It was as if that fleeting glimpse was just an illusion.

But a bone-chilling cold suddenly shot up my spine to the top of my head!

Watch out behind you—!!!

Kanzaki's scream, mixed with terror, pierced through the chaos ahead.

behind?

Kurokawa's nerves instantly tightened to their limit. His senses, enhanced by the combat suit, triggered frantic warnings, and he almost instinctively wanted to twist his body, block, or lunge forward—

But it was still too slow.

Or rather, the opponent's speed was so fast that it exceeded the limits of his current reaction and the enhancements provided by his combat suit!

An indescribable, terrifying force, like a small car crashing head-on into him at full speed, slammed solidly into the left side of his back!

"Well--!"

With a muffled groan, Kurokawa flew forward uncontrollably like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily into the thick, slippery, scarlet flesh several meters away!

puff!

Crimson flames, like tangible fire, burst forth from every pore of his body, burning and rising wildly!

The flesh and blood tissue that tried to envelop and devour him convulsed violently, charred, and carbonized the moment it touched the crimson flames, as if encountering its nemesis, emitting a "sizzling" sound, and quickly retreated.

Kurokawa braced himself against the fleshy wall with both hands, his arm muscles bulging, and the veins protruding like writhing dragons, clearly visible under the crimson flames.

He struggled violently!

"Rip—!"

The thick flesh that enveloped him was forcibly torn open with a large gash!

He broke free, landed back on the ground, knelt on one knee, and breathed slightly.

But the boiling, blood-red flames on his body did not diminish; instead, they became even more intense and violent, making him appear like an avenger returning from hell.

He raised his head, revealing eyes whose pupils seemed to burn with two crimson flames.

He looked at Chika, who was struggling to get up not far away, and his voice came through the violent energy field, hoarse, but with an undeniable and absolute will:

"The fledgling... watch it carefully."

"This is the most important lesson I've taught you."
