Seeking good fortune and avoiding misfortune, I became a legend in the entertainment industry by avo

The young man, addressed as Mr. Yang, nodded politely.

"Mr. Gu, you're too kind. Mr. Wang said you're interested in young actors from the Beijing People's Art Theatre. I have a few promising talents here; they all have good potential. Would you like to see if any of them are suitable for you?"

As he spoke, he took out several resumes from his bag and placed them on the table.

Gu Liangyuan looked at the resumes on the table and smiled gently.

"Mr. Yang, I've heard that the Beijing People's Art Theatre has very strict rules. How can I successfully get someone I like to sign with my company?"

Yang Yu responded with a smile:

"Mr. Gu, there's no need to be so polite. Just call me Yang Yu. Although the rules at Beijing People's Art Theatre are strict, they don't restrict actors' decisions to stay or leave. If you take a fancy to someone, I'll help persuade them to sign an agency contract with your company first."

"As long as you can afford the resources to help him increase his market value and popularity, when the time is right and the actor has a strong personal desire, the Beijing People's Art Theatre will not prevent the actor from leaving."

Gu Liangyuan frowned; what he wanted was to tie Zhang Qilin to the company's contract.

According to the other party, he would need to coax Zhang Qilin for several more years before he could achieve his goal.

This is definitely not in Mr. Li's best interest.

So he changed his question:

"If I can't sign an exclusive agency contract, and I've nurtured him but he doesn't renew his contract, wouldn't I suffer a huge loss?"

Yang Yu picked up his teacup and said slowly:

"Of course, there will definitely be initial investment and risks. You need to judge whether the actor's potential is worth taking this step for and whether you have the patience to accompany him through this transition period."

"Mr. Gu, everyone has a heart. If you treat the actors well and they feel comfortable in your company, why would they want to leave?"

Gu Liangyuan pondered for a moment, then looked up at Yang Yu:

"Mr. Yang, I understand your reasoning, but in business, relying solely on people's hearts as a guarantee is ultimately not reliable enough."

His tone held a hint of deliberation and probing:

"How about we try a different approach? If I could offer a betting scheme, I wonder if you could convince the person I choose."

Yang Yu smiled upon hearing this:

"President Gu, Xinghuo is a large company in the industry, but the young actors I have are all employed by Beijing People's Art Theatre. The theatre pays their social insurance and housing fund, and doesn't prevent them from taking on outside roles, as long as they complete the drama performances arranged by the theatre each year."

"Why would they give up a stable life to sign a performance-based agreement with you?"

"Stability often means that the ceiling is clearly visible," Gu Liangyuan said calmly. "How many good stage actors across the country are not well known to the audience? What they lack is not acting skills, but the opportunity to break into the circle, the exposure to make the national audience remember their names."

Gu Liangyuan looked at Yang Yu, and seeing that the other party did not refute him, continued:

"The performance-based agreement sounds stressful, but it's actually an accelerator. I can set a clear goal, such as helping him achieve a leading role in a hit TV series, a supporting role in a well-received movie, and reach the corresponding level in fashion resources and commercial endorsements within two years."

"If the deal is reached, he will receive a share of the profits far exceeding his current earnings and top-tier resources from the company. If the deal is not reached, the agreement will automatically convert to a regular long-term brokerage contract. He will not suffer any additional losses; on the contrary, he will have already enjoyed the resources that Spark has fully invested in the past two years."

Yang Yu picked up his teacup, took a sip, and didn't reply.

Gu Liangyuan is telling the truth. The Beijing People's Art Theatre hones acting skills on stage, but in terms of the speed of creating stars and increasing commercial value, it really can't compare with these talent agencies.

Often, actors from the Beijing People's Art Theatre have to rely on acting in films, television dramas, or variety shows to gain wider recognition from the public.

This, in turn, boosts the theater's box office.

The old teachers in the theater always taught that good actors should be rooted in the stage and should not go into film and television.

In his view, this statement may not be entirely true.

In this media age, theater is no longer the kind of art form that was limited to a small circle of people.

Zhu Xu's most classic stage role is the eight-minute monologue in "The Change," which can be called a masterpiece.

But it was the movie "Face/Off" that made him known to the public.

Mr. Dong Xingji, a renowned performing artist, is a household name in the theater world, yet few people have actually seen his performances.

However, there is only one verifiable film or television work on the subject, titled "Liao Zhongkai".

There are many more examples like this.

These facts made him realize that when stage actors go out to film, it's not just to make a living, but also to promote the theater itself.

To let more people know about and pay attention to drama, and ultimately to make this industry more visible.

Of course, some people failed to stay true to their original aspirations, were attracted by the allure of the outside world, and chose to leave for personal gain.

In his view, that was a personal choice.

Over the years, the Beijing People's Art Theatre has lost many actors, both famous and unknown, for various reasons.

However, some people chose to stay and became pillars of the Beijing People's Art Theatre.

Seeing that Yang Yu didn't respond, Gu Liangyuan took out a document and handed it over:

"Mr. Yang, you know how popular 'Happy Boys' is. We're inviting you as a special guest to participate in the recording of one episode and interact with the mentors and contestants. This will greatly help boost your personal popularity."

Yang Yu glanced at the contract:

"Mr. Gu, thank you for the invitation. It is my honor to participate in the program. However, the people under my management only accept agency contracts. In a few years, as long as the actor is willing, we can switch to exclusive contracts, or even let them leave the company."

Gu Liangyuan quickly weighed the options in his mind.

If he didn't agree to Yang Yu's request, he wouldn't even have a chance to trick Zhang Qilin into signing a contract.

For some reason, he had been calling Zhang Qilin for a while, but the other party hadn't answered.

President Li is pushing him too hard; if he doesn't produce some results, he'll really be kicked out of the company.

Thinking of this, he nodded helplessly.

Acquiring partial ownership of Zhang Qilin's property is better than nothing, and it also gives me something to say to President Li.

Yang Yu smiled and pushed several documents forward:

"Which one has Mr. Gu taken a fancy to?"

Without looking at the information, Gu Liangyuan said directly:

"I want Zhang Qilin."

"What?" Yang Yu was taken aback, then his expression became slightly exaggerated. "President Gu, Zhang Qilin is my best friend."

Without further ado, Gu Liangyuan produced another document:

"You'll be a regular guest on a major variety show, which can significantly boost your status."

Yang Yu smiled and put away the two program invitation contracts.

He stood up and said to Gu Liangyuan:

"President Gu, it's been a pleasure working with you. In a while, I'll arrange for you to work with Zhang Qilin together."

"What do you mean?" Gu Liangyuan had a bad feeling.

Yang Yu laughed:

"President Gu, you know Zhang Qilin's current situation. You don't think you're the only one interested in him, do you? Once the hype dies down, I'll arrange for you all to bid together. Whether you can attract him depends on your abilities."

"This is fraud," Gu Liangyuan said, standing up with a grim expression.

Yang Yu, beaming, took out the two variety show invitations:

"Mr. Gu, Zhang Qilin listens to me the most at the Beijing People's Art Theatre. If you don't have an admission ticket, I guarantee you won't be able to see him."

Gu Liangyuan's expression shifted, and after a moment, he forced himself to speak, suppressing his anger:

"I'll wait for your call."

Yang Yu put the two invitations back into his bag and walked out of the teahouse.

He went to a nearby bank, had a brief conversation with the teller, and quickly came out with two bundles of banknotes.

In the lounge of the Beijing People's Art Theatre.

Zhang Qilin was looking at the interview outline given to him by Yi Yangbo when the door was pushed open from the outside.

Yang Yu walked in with a big smile.

He approached Zhang Qilin and took out two bundles of banknotes and a stack of red envelopes from his bag:

"Qi Lin, this is still what you wanted."

Zhang Qilin glanced at it and nodded politely:

"Thanks, Brother Yang. I'll have my family send you the money after this is over."

Yang Yu patted Zhang Qilin on the shoulder:

"Why are you being so polite with me? We're best friends at the Beijing People's Art Theatre, how's the preparation going?"

"That's about it. We'll be meeting the media soon." Zhang Qilin looked down and continued to look at the interview outline in his hand.
