"Did I die from the fall?"

This was Moen's first thought after regaining consciousness.

He subconsciously reached out to touch his chest, his fingertips brushing against the soft bed sheet.

"Where did I get this?" Moen struggled to open his eyes.

The room that comes into view is simply furnished.

Several hardy green plants were placed on the windowsill, and a hand-drawn map of Nohanville hung on the wall.

Unlock the Nohanville map

Moen was a little dazed. He tried to sit up, but the wooden bed creaked.

The slight noise woke up the other person in the room.

That person was Arya.

She removed her armor, wearing only a thin white shirt, her long, dark brown hair casually draped over her shoulders.

Moen was somewhat shocked.

Could it be that Arya has been taking care of him all along?

"You're awake." Arya's voice was a little hoarse.

She got up, poured a glass of warm water, and handed it to Moen: "You were unconscious for a day and a night."

Arya said this and then stopped, standing there watching Moen sip his water.

Moen felt a little embarrassed by her gaze, so she quickly started a conversation: "Where is this?"

"My room." Arya turned around to tidy up the medicine bottles on the table, her back looking somewhat stiff.

"Hotels are crowded and noisy places, but here there are people watching over us, so it's the safest place."

Looking at her obviously mechanical movements, Moen felt that the topic he had brought up might not have been very good.

Safety was indeed a concern, but allowing a strange man to sleep in one's room was probably a first for a knight of judgment who strictly adhered to the rules.

Moreover, there is more than one room in the town's tower.

He didn't expose this clumsy little scheme, but simply whispered, "Thank you."

Half an hour later, Moen finished tidying up his equipment and followed Arya, who had changed her clothes, out of the tower.

The outside world has changed drastically.

The wind and snow completely stopped, and the long-awaited sun hung high in the sky, illuminating the entire city of Nohanville with a crystal-clear glow.

Workers are busy on the wooden scaffolding, repairing the dilapidated city wall. The sound of hammering stones is particularly pleasant in the early morning.

Outside the tower, everything was as usual. The residents coming and going seemed completely unaware of the previous beast tide. Their faces showed no joy at surviving the ordeal, but rather numbness and listlessness.

They would only cross their hands over their foreheads and kneel down to bow to Arya when passing by her.

The townspeople knelt along the way, and Arya helped them up.

And so, the two finally arrived at the knights' camp, where the snow mammoth's corpse lay quietly untouched.

"This is the monster you killed," Arya said, pointing at the behemoth. "According to the rules, you can take everything."

Moen shook his head: "I can't take that much with me."

He stepped forward, tapped the snow mammoth's broken tusks with his sword, and pointed to its thick, silvery fur: "I can keep the tusks. Also, could you please have someone make me a set of lightweight leather armor from its hide?"

Due to the properties of the material, only a small portion of the belly of a large mammoth hide is usable, so it is only enough to make one piece of equipment with special characteristics.

"As for the remaining meat and bones, distribute them to the wounded and the townspeople; they need food this winter."

"Okay," Arya immediately gave the order.

The logistics personnel specializing in butchering the wild animal carcasses arrived quickly and began working intensively.

After finishing their chores, Moen and Arya walked side by side on the snow path outside the city walls.

The sunlight shone on the snow, reflecting a dazzling light, and the air was fresher than ever before.

"Moen." Arya suddenly stopped, looking at the distant, snow-capped mountains, her tone tinged with a hint of uncertainty: "The reinforcements from headquarters will arrive tomorrow, and I will soon be returning to the Holy City to report."

She paused, turned her head, and her golden-gray eyes looked particularly serious: "Headquarters has the best medical resources and a broader stage."

"If you'd like, I can recommend you to the archbishop."

This is Arya extending an olive branch to Moen.

Moen remained silent for a moment.

He looked at the hope in Arya's eyes and a thought stirred within him.

Going to the Holy City would indeed be a good choice, as there are better resources there, but he cannot go; he has too many secrets.

The skills dropped by monsters, the life stones that can be fused with skills, and the player's identity.

In a place where high-ranking church officials were present, he couldn't guarantee that he could remain hidden well.

"Arya." Moen smiled, reaching out to catch a falling snowflake. "I'm a naturally easygoing person and can't stand being bound by dogma."

"Besides, there are some places I absolutely have to go."

Arya's eyes dimmed slightly for a moment, but she quickly concealed it.

She wasn't the kind of timid little girl; once the other party had made a decision, she would simply respect it.

"That's true." She generously extended her right hand in front of her.

"Good luck then. If you ever run into trouble in the future, remember to mention my name."

Moen shook hands and responded with a smile.

"must."

into the night.

Moen did not return to Arya's tower, nor did he go to the room where someone had died.

He booked a new superior room at the Ash Furnace Inn, since the church had promised to reimburse him, and he figured he might as well take advantage of it.

After washing away the blood and exhaustion, Moen locked the door and sat cross-legged on the bed.

The familiar feeling of weightlessness returned, and when I opened my eyes again, I was already in that dimly lit skill corridor.

This time, he was much more confident.

[Current Mortal Fragment: 293]

[Current Ritual Fragments: 8]

Moen went straight to the statue of the Silver Plains Tyrant Snow Mammoth.

The statue, which was originally shrouded in mist, now radiates a majestic silver light.

The first skill you see is [Ice Rock Throw], which, as the name suggests, involves using magic to pull rocks on the ground and then throwing them. However, the skill damage is not low, and hitting the head will cause stun.

However, the exchange price is not low, requiring a full 120 ordinary fragments.

Skipping over that skill, the next one is the Snow Mammoth's stomp skill – [Siege Stomp].

It can deal physical shock damage to enemies within range, and if the force is insufficient, the enemy will be knocked back by the shockwave and forcibly stunned for 1.5 seconds, making it a very useful interrupt skill.

The exchange price is 150 Common Fragments.

The Snow Mammoth's last mortal ability was the one that Arya interrupted: Ivory Charge.

After charging for 3 seconds, it will charge forward while immune to slowing and normal knockback. If it hits an enemy, it will deal multiple hits of damage, and when it hits a wall, it will deal a very high amount of physical damage.

This skill is the most expensive of the three, costing 240 Mortal Shards.

Of course, the first three mortal skills are just appetizers. The real highlight is the Snow Mammoth's ultimate move, the Holy Ritual skill that covers the entire field!

【Wrath of Winter】

[Rank: Sacred Ritual]

[Cost: 300 MP (Requires 3 seconds to cast)]

Duration: 20 seconds

[Cooldown: 120 seconds]

[Description: This is an act of usurpation of divine authority by a mortal. You use your own magical power as a fuse to detonate the dormant ice elements in the atmosphere.]

[Skill Effect]

【Extreme Frost Domain: Forces the environment within a 50-meter radius to become extremely cold. Deals (20 + Arcane × 0.5) Frost damage per second to all enemies.】

[Absolute Suppression: Forces all enemies within the area to have their movement speed and stamina regeneration speed reduced to zero (ineffective against enemies of Saint rank or higher)]

[Terminator - Ice Blast: After the area remains frozen for 15 seconds, it detonates, dealing 150 points of true damage to all frozen targets.]

[Exchange Price: 12 Holy Ritual Fragments + 300 Mortal Fragments]

Looking at the number of fragments required, this was not unexpected for Moen.

After all, players have to work their butts off to get a Holy Ritual skill; they can't just get one by killing a boss.

Looking at the three mortal skills again, Moen pondered deeply. He realized that he was clearly following a melee-like path, and ranged damage skills were not really suitable. Furthermore, [Ivory Charge] conflicted with [Frosty Shadow] to some extent.

After much deliberation, Moen decided to exchange for [Siege Reconquest].

But he hesitated.

In previous exchanges, a statue could usually only be exchanged for one skill.

If I exchange for a mortal skill, will it prevent me from exchanging for the sacred skill later?

Moen carefully examined the base of the statue.

He discovered that there were actually three grooves on the base, which seemed to correspond to the three skill ranks: [Mortal], [Sacred Ritual], and [Celestial Phenomenon].

Currently, only the grooves for the Mortal and Sacred aspects of the Snow Mammoth statue are lit up.

"If the logic behind this ability is sound..."

Moen tried using 150 mortal fragments to exchange for [Siege Crusade].

"Buzz!" A flash of light, and a powerful force of earth surged into his body.

Moen looked nervously at the statue, only to see that the mortal-level groove had turned gray, and [Ice Rock Throw] and [Ivory Charge] had also disappeared, which meant that the mortal-level exchange right had been used.

However! The groove for that ritual is still highlighted.

"So that's how it is!" Moen was overjoyed.

Each statue, at each tier, can be exchanged for a skill!

After confirming the rules, Moen no longer hesitated and began a shopping spree.

"There are 143 fragments remaining."

He walked toward the statue of the Frostthorn Porcupine.

He only has one skill, [Desperate Burst], which can be exchanged. Its effect is to use magic to cast a circle of ice shards with a knockback effect. It will automatically be released once when his health is below 20% without consuming any mana.

It's a passable escape skill, and it's not expensive, costing only 30 Common Fragments.

Next up is the [Ice Crystal Carrion Spider].

An extremely powerful control skill, [Crystal Web].

He gathered extreme cold magic power in his palm and unleashed a hard net.

It can not only restrain small targets for three seconds, but also hinder large targets if the timing of its release is just right.

Moen did not hesitate to spend 60 mortal fragments to exchange for it.

[Current remaining Mortal Fragments: 53]

With all the statue skills exchanged, the only remaining skill was the Holy Ritual skill, for which he didn't have enough fragments to exchange. Moen left the corridor satisfied.

Remembering that he had leveled up twice before, Moen opened the attribute panel again and added the attribute points.

考虑到现在最主要的输出手段和血量有关,莫恩还是将12点自由属性给了6点到体力上,剩下6点分了3点到奥术3点到敏捷。

Name: Moen Kalix

[Level: 11]

[HP: 1280/1280]

[Mana Points: 315/315]

【属性:体力64、奥术21、力量22、技巧19、敏捷23、精神18】

Sighing, Moen had completely cut off his path to joining the church and obtaining a professional template for fear of exposing his cheat.

However, without a professional template, the character's attribute growth and free attribute points at each level will be much less, which is a bit of a worry for him.

However, he survived this wave and made a huge improvement. We'll talk about his career later.
