NBA: Starting with the undercut by Parker and Bowen

The brothers' love?

That sounds...exciting.

Fortunately, those who watch NBA games are all real men and don't think about anything frivolous.

However, given the context and the sarcastic tone of Yang Lin's words, domestic fans couldn't help but speculate that Yi Jianlian would be in serious trouble tonight and would be tricked.

Yang Hei: Stupid Yang Lin, he only dares to target his own people.

Yang Lin: I already have black spots?

Yao Ming: Isn't it normal to have haters? I'm even called a big, dumb oaf!

It was 8 PM, which was 9 AM on November 10th in China.

The game between the Houston Rockets and the Milwaukee Bucks officially began with the referee's whistle.

The starting lineup for the home team, the Rockets, remained unchanged.

The visiting Bucks' starting five are: Andrew Bogut, Yi Jianlian, Desmond Mason, Michael Reed, and Maurice Williams.

Yao Ming and Bogut jump for the ball.

Before Yao Ming, Bogut slapped the ball toward Mo Williams, successfully giving his team the first possession.

"Brother Yao! You lost the jump again."

While slowing down Williams' advance, Yang Lin loudly complained to Yao Ming.

He really couldn't understand why Yao Ming would frequently choose to jump the ball when the Rockets had a physical player like Wilcox.

Williams dribbled the ball to the top of the arc and loudly called for Yi Jianlian to come up and set a screen.

At this time, Mo Williams had not yet become known as "Mo the Unpassable" among domestic fans.

In the Bucks' last four games, Yi Jianlian has made a total of 16 shots, 6 of which were assisted by Mo Williams.

Mo Williams' nickname "Mo Bu Chuan" (meaning "Mo who doesn't pass on knowledge") is somewhat aggrieved.

First of all, he is not a passing-oriented guard; organizing and passing is not his strength. Secondly, Yi Jianlian actually received quite a few assists from him.

Yi Jianlian's offense is inconsistent and his shooting percentage is low, so how can you expect the point guard to pass him the ball?

Of course, it's fine if people criticize him for "not spreading rumors".

We're just siding with our own people, not with what's right or wrong, so what?

Mo Williams is also a man of principle. Knowing that tonight is the Chinese derby, he didn't even pass the first ball to his team's leader, Michael Reed, but instead called for Yi Jianlian to run a pick and roll.

Upon hearing Mo's call, Yi Jianlian quickly moved up to set a screen.

"Change!"

Yang Lin shouted loudly, but did not try to provide cover.

Wilcox is big and defends against small, Yanglin is small and defends against big.

Yi Jianlian broke through the inside defense, and Mo Williams returned the ball.

Facing Yang Lin's defense, Yi Jianlian received the ball and immediately took a mid-range jump shot.

"Bang!"

The basketball hit the rim but missed.

Battier secured the rebound, and Yang Lin advanced the ball.

As Yang Lin crossed halfway, he saw Yao Ming guarding Bogut and actively reached out for the ball.

"Xiao Yang, give me the ball, I can beat him."

What can Yang Lin do?

Of course, we should give him a drop shot!

With Bogut backing down, Yao Ming landed three powerful shots, and once he was within shooting range, he turned and launched a jump shot.

"Smack!" "Bang!" "Beep!"

Three shots rang out immediately.

Bogut fouled, the basketball hit the rim, and the referee blew the whistle for a shooting foul.

Prepare for two penalties.

Yao Ming swung his arm and casually said to Yang Lin, "Little Yang, do you know? Jump ball is a center's pride. I can lose the jump ball, but I can't give up on it."

What the hell!

It's about values.

Just as Yang Lin was dumbfounded, Yao Ming continued, "Besides, winning or losing the jump ball isn't that important. Anyway, there are two possessions in each of the four quarters, so what difference does it make whether it's the first and fourth or the second and third?"

Amidst laughter and conversation, Yao Ming swiftly made two free throws.

Bogut on the other side looked on with envy, jealousy, and hatred.

Without thinking, Yang Lin glanced at the grinning Bogut and suddenly recalled the grudges and grievances between this idiot and China in later generations.

He couldn't help but wonder why his own system's "Army of Justice" seemed to have been inactive for quite some time.

I'd rather not!

Yang Lin immediately shook his head to dispel the thoughts from his mind.

It's not that Yang Lin is soft-hearted.

The main reason is that Yi Jianlian is currently still with the Bucks.

Yang Lin was certain that if Bogut got injured because of him, it would definitely implicate Yi Jianlian, which was something Yang Lin didn't want to see.

Yi Jianlian's NBA career has been tough enough; there's no need to make it harder for him.

As for Bogut!

Yang Lin could only say that there's plenty of time in the future.

In the Chinese derby, both Yi Jianlian and Yao Ming took the first shot, although one failed to make the shot and the other drew a foul and scored.

But eventually they all showed themselves.

As the third Chinese player on the field, Yang Lin was naturally unwilling to fall behind.

The Bucks inbounded the ball from their backcourt, and Yang Lin closely followed Mo Williams, applying pressure on him when he had the ball.

As they crossed half-court, seeing Mo Williams under intense defense, Bucks star Michael Reed quickly came to assist.

"Maurice, over here."

Upon hearing the shout, Mo Williams immediately passed the ball.

Little did they know that Yang Lin had already been harboring his own thoughts.

When Mo was looking for an opportunity to pass the ball, he was actively challenged, which caused him to stagger and his pass was a bit unsteady.

"Snapped!"

Yang Lin made a swift move, slapping the flying basketball and changing its trajectory.

McGrady, who was defending Reed, quickly positioned himself and won possession of the ball.

Yang Lin, after dribbling the basketball, immediately sprinted down the court towards his own half.

After gaining possession, McGrady didn't hesitate and threw the ball directly to Yang Lin.

With Mo Williams on the defensive, Yang Lin received the pass smoothly at the top of the arc, beyond the three-point line.

Just when Mo Williams thought Yang Lin would take the opportunity to attack the basket.

Yang Lin suddenly stopped to gather the ball, and with Mo Mo's body still moving forward and looking incredulous, he decisively jumped up and launched a three-pointer.

No!

Is this how you play basketball at home?

Don't you know that the closer you are to the basket, the easier it is to score?

There's no one in front of you, why not just attack the basket and dunk?

However, before anyone could complain, the crisp sound of the basketball going through the net made all the doubts seem justified.

Ok!

Your choice is correct.

You made the shot, so you're right.

Seeing his shot go in smoothly, Yang Lin immediately smiled.

Score +3, steals +1, feeling great.

Turning back on defense, he shouted at Yi Jianlian and Yao Ming, who were still in the Bucks' half of the court: "Look~~ this is the right way to play basketball. You have to put the ball in the basket, you won't score points by 'banging' the rim."

Yi Jianlian: Is this the love my brothers have for me?

Yao Ming: You bastards, even your own people are being mocked.

The game continues.

Although the Bucks' roster is far inferior to the Rockets', they are still far behind.

If Mike Reed, the Bucks' star player, were to join the Rockets now, he would at best be a power forward, a role player who utilizes the 3-and-D skillset.

(Note: Even in the Eastern Conference, Michael Reed only made the All-Star team once in his career, during the 03-04 season.)

However, the Bucks players also showed some fighting spirit in the first quarter.

There are no weak teams in the NBA.

Especially in the regular season, it's not uncommon for underdogs to defeat stronger teams.

With twelve minutes left in the first quarter, the Bucks led the Houston Rockets 25-24, a one-point advantage.

When Yang Lin saw the statistics for both teams during the segment, his mouth twisted in disbelief.

Isn't this a Chinese derby?

Why were the three Chinese people overshadowed?

火箭这边，麦迪单节9投4中砍下10分4板1助攻；

For the Bucks, Reed and Mason each scored 9 points.

None of this matters!

The problem is that Yi Jianlian went 0-for-2 in the first quarter and scored no points.

他的直接竞争者，05年7号秀「无眉大侠」查理-维兰纽瓦，首节3投2中砍下5分。

Yang Lin sidled up to Yao Ming and complained, "Brother Yao, you stole the spotlight from the Chinese derby. Your 1-for-6 shooting percentage is just pathetic."

"There's nothing I can do if I can't make the shot!"

Yao Ming spread his hands and said helplessly, "That big polar bear on the other side gave me a lot of physical contact and kept using dirty tricks, which made me very uncomfortable."

"You're currently the best center in the league, and he's going to contain you? Are you nervous because tonight is the Chinese derby?"

"How is that possible?"

Yao Ming stared wide-eyed and denied it outright.

"What big events haven't I seen, buddy? The 00 Sydney Olympics, the 04 Athens Olympics, the 02 Indianapolis World Championships, the 06 Japan World Championships—weren't they all bigger events? Why would I get nervous over a small Chinese derby?"

"Hehe~~"

Yang Lin remained silent, but his expression...

Perhaps it was Yang Lin's taunts during the game that ignited his fighting spirit, or perhaps it was because he had adapted to Bogut's defensive intensity.

After entering the game in the second quarter, Yao Ming began to demonstrate his formidable strength.

轮休带替补六分多钟，姚明3投3中，罚球4中4，强势砍下10分3篮板。

He led the team on an 18-7 run, giving the Rockets a double-digit lead.

During the break, Yao Ming focused his attention on Yang Lin, preparing to find fault with him and mock him later.

But soon, he realized something was wrong.

No!

Yi Jianlian clearly couldn't make that shot, Yang Lin, why did you try to steal it and give him a shooting foul?

Mo Williams and Yi Jianlian set a pick and roll. Shouldn't the ball be pushed through to chase and defend?

Yang Lin, why did you switch defenses?

Did they really give Yi Jianlian a chance to drive to the basket and dunk?

What made Yao Ming feel most uneasy was that he returned to the court in the last two minutes of the quarter.

During an inside switch, that bastard Yang Lin blocked his retreat route, giving Yi Jianlian an open mid-range jumper.

At this point, Yao Ming finally understood completely: Yang Lin was just feeding...

With Yang Lin's unseen help, Yi Jianlian successfully scored in double digits in the second quarter, racking up 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 block, delivering a very impressive performance.

Intermission.

Yao Ming approached Yang Lin anxiously and asked, "Won't you get into trouble doing that?"

"What's that? What happened?"

Yang Lin was completely confused.

Yao Ming glanced around furtively and muttered under his breath, "It's to help Yi Jianlian... Don't deny it, I've been watching the whole time! Especially that last play by Yi Jianlian, if you hadn't blocked me, I definitely could have defended it back."

"Oh, about that!"

After understanding Yao Ming's question, Yang Lin smiled and said, "What could possibly happen? We win the game, he gets the stats, and everyone's happy in the end."

"But isn't this rigging the game?"

"How is it a fixed match?"

Yang Lin glared at Yao Ming, annoyed. "We didn't gamble. What's wrong with the team being a little lax on defense when we have a lead?"

"Last season in the Finals, the Cavaliers were trailing! Didn't LeBron James keep giving me open looks? Without his careless defense, would I have gotten that Finals MVP?"

Raising an eyebrow at Yao Ming, Yang Lin continued to advise, "As long as it's not too obviously unsportsmanlike, these aren't big deals."

"Yi Jianlian is scoring high points now, firstly to build his self-confidence; secondly, to show the Bucks management and fans that Yi Jianlian has the potential to score."

"As his older brothers, we should help him and give him enough love."

Yao Ming pondered for a moment, then frowned and nodded, saying, "Now that you mention it, it seems there's no major problem. In the second half, I'll give Yi Jianlian some older brotherly support!"
