Guyver Armor: KAP-2

Chapter 15: Defeated, the Use of the Guyver Armor

A murderous aura was brewing along the riverbank.

Having suffered two consecutive rounds of complete annihilation by the Zerglings, and unable to bear further defeat, the Japanese branch, in order to obtain clues about Kep, deployed its strongest combat force—a prototype Zergling still under experimental development.

Snevato, who resembles an octopus, was dispatched along with two elite squads!

Amidst the roars that rose and fell, the two five-person teams simultaneously activated their beast transformations.

The roars of the beastmen instantly shattered the tranquility of the river, and as the cloth tore, Kureg, Ramoch, and Vimoa appeared one after another.

Among them was another type of beast-like soldier that had never appeared before.

Its head resembles that of a hawk, its slender body is covered with long black fur, and its well-developed limbs end in sharp, bird-like claws.

It is a specialized beastman soldier who excels in high-speed combat, Makalu.

"Oh no, there are so many monsters."

As Fukamachi Akira twisted and turned, she tried her best to block the continuous attacks of tentacles shooting out from the river, and occasionally used the laser beam in her head to fight back.

But the monster's tentacles were far more agile than imagined, and it was not easy to hit them accurately. Instead, the huge force generated by its swings would sometimes make one's arms go numb.

"Surrender! My power, Snevato's, is completely different from that of ordinary beastmen..."

As he spoke, the flesh and blood writhed continuously at the severed wrist and limb of Snevato.

Several new tentacles, covered in mucus, grew out again—such incredible regenerative ability!

Two squads of Zoan soldiers took the opportunity to surround them. After all, Akira Fukamachi had only just mastered the power of transformation and was still very unfamiliar with controlling the Kapp 1.

He could only rely on instinct to block and counterattack, and in addition to protecting the Segawa siblings behind him, he quickly fell into a disadvantageous position.

As he stumbled, Snevato's arms suddenly extended and wrapped around his limbs, the immense force nearly tearing the armor apart.

"Gotcha! Hehehe, all the credit is mine!"

Having successfully restrained Fukamachi Akira, Snevato grinned maliciously and slammed the Cap 1 into a giant rock on the riverbank.

"Kyou!" came Tetsuro and Mizuki's exclamations from beside him.

Amidst the flying shards of rock, Akira Fukamachi gritted her teeth and struggled desperately, but felt her strength rapidly draining away, and her consciousness beginning to blur.

Is this... how are we going to lose?

Just then, several whooshing sounds suddenly rang out.

Several beams of yellow light tore through the dim riverbank and struck Slivato's outstretched arms with pinpoint accuracy.

"Ah—who is it?"

With the monster's mournful screams, the many tentacles binding Fukamachi Akira instantly turned to ashes.

As soon as she landed, Fukamachi Akira looked up and saw a tall, slender figure slowly walking out of the shadows at the end of the bushes.

As they moved, yellow laser beams flashed incessantly, and the helmet devices that the beastmen squad had removed before transforming began to emit sparks and thick smoke.

"This is...this is the mysterious person Tetsuro and the others were talking about!"

The bio-armor, though of the same design, was a completely different dark yellow color, and beneath the crescent-shaped head blades, the control metal on the forehead emitted a faint glow.

From a distance, the armored vehicle appeared much taller and stronger than the KAP-1, exuding a calm and powerful aura with every move it made.

At the critical moment, Guyver Captain 2, Tsubasa Kamino, finally arrived.

"Damn it... my arm... stop him!"

Severely wounded, Snevato dived into the water, regenerating his limbs as quickly as possible while directing his beastmen to intercept him.

"Open your eyes wide and watch carefully, kid! This is how you use the Guyver Armor Kapp!"

Tsubasa Kanno's deep voice, transmitted through the metal vocal organs of the mask's mouth, resounded in the night wind with a magnetic distortion unique to machines.

He glanced at the eight beast-like black shadows rushing towards him, and stretched his shoulders, his joints making a series of soft cracking sounds.

Now, Mr. Jinno is preparing to give his best student a unique live teaching lesson.

Yes, one-on-one, the kind that you'll never forget.

"First of all, this is it."

KEP-2 got into position, gripped the gap in the middle of the breastplate with both hands, and used his knuckles to forcefully pry it open to both sides!

In an instant, the crystalline emitter burst forth with a blinding blue-white light that was impossible to look at directly.

"Chest Particle Cannon!"

The moment the roar subsided, two scorching beams of mega-particles tore through the night and shot out. Wherever the beams passed, the air was scorched, distorted, and boiled, emitting a sizzling sound.

The beastmen soldiers, who had already rushed several meters in front of him, didn't even have time to scream before they were completely engulfed by the huge high-temperature beam that was enough to melt special alloys. Their flesh and bones, along with the beam, turned into ashes and disappeared into the wind, leaving no trace of their bodies.

All eight beast-like soldiers were wiped out!

"What...what kind of power is this? I know! We were all wrong...it turns out the previous failures were all your doing!"

Macallu's eerie scream was filled with extreme fear. His pupils contracted sharply, and he felt a sense of retreat in the face of this overwhelming power.

Sweating profusely, it suddenly turned and grabbed at the unsuspecting Segawa Tetsuro beside it, opening its beak and threatening in a hoarse voice, "Don't move... caw."

"Whoosh—whoosh—"

Before the words were even finished, several beams of condensed, sword-like yellow light instantly pierced the night sky and precisely stabbed into its eagle-like head.

Macallu stopped moving abruptly and fell straight to the side, wisps of black smoke rising from his charred ear canals, the brain tissue inside already burned to a crisp by the high-temperature laser.

"This is a laser beam emitted from the head using heat."

Only then did Tsubasa Kanno's soft voice drift over on the wind, as calm as if he were explaining formulas and theorems in a textbook.

"Damn freak, die!"

The squad's last remaining beastman, Movia, went completely mad. It howled and stretched the laser emitter on its shoulder to its limit, forcibly pulling out the hideous muscle fibers and spurting out streaks of black blood.

Ignoring the excruciating pain that felt like its joints were being torn apart, intense golden light converged wildly in the two crystalline emitters, and the highest-powered laser beams, accompanied by high temperatures, were continuously emitted.

In the interlacing light, the ground was blasted into scorched craters, billowing black smoke.

At the same time, the calm surface of the river suddenly churned violently.

Amidst the murky water, several thick tentacles covered with ring-shaped suckers burst forth, carrying a strong, salty, and damp stench, and coiled precisely around Kamino Tsubasa's limbs and neck like venomous snakes.

It was Snevato who had just dived underwater and used his powerful regenerative abilities to repair his arms and legs.

Its slippery body lay hidden beneath the water's surface, its protruding compound eyes filled with terror. Little did it know that in the mere few dozen seconds it had recovered, two elite squads of beastmen had been nearly wiped out.

In an instant, the whistling of laser beams and the sharp sound of tentacles tearing through the air intertwined, determined to annihilate the KAP-2.
