Guyver Armor: KAP-2

Chapter 61 Report: Signs of an Impending Storm

"Please take a look, everyone. This is the data we've collected on Kep from our numerous operations so far..."

In the video conference room on the upper level of the ruins base, Hamil Bakas was reporting the current battle situation to a huge holographic screen.

On the other side of the screen, in the circular conference room of Kronos headquarters, a holographic projection in the center emitted a cold light.

Numerous headquarters scientists dressed in white research suits, along with two Beast God Generals, sat solemnly around.

"...The three Captains, along with Murakami Masaki and his group, repeatedly escaped despite being personally pursued by Hamil Bakas, one of the Twelve Beast Gods, and Richard Geo."

When he read out Geo's name, Bakas deliberately raised his voice: "For us, who are about to face the arrival of 'Day X,' this force will be a huge obstacle."

He bowed slightly, adopting an extremely humble posture: "Therefore, I earnestly hope that the headquarters' scientific faction and the Twelve Divine Generals can provide assistance. That concludes my report."

Bakas's image disappeared from the holographic screen, and a brief silence fell over the headquarters conference room.

"That Bakas, to actually show such a weak posture..." The first to break the silence was the Tenth General - Friedrich von Prudda, his still young face full of disbelief.

"Hmph, you only see the surface." The Third Divine General, Sinn Rubeo Yamnicas, sitting in the main seat, wore a solemn expression: "The opponent is not just a few implanted bodies."

"I have received the message that Bakas hid in this video. There is no doubt about Geo's intention to betray us!"

"What?!" Pruda's expression also turned serious. "If that's the case..."

"Send word of my order! Immediately summon the remaining three of the Twelve Divine Generals who are missing. No matter where they are right now, they must arrive at headquarters within 24 hours!"

"Yes, Lord Shin!" the subordinate replied in a deep voice, then turned and quickly left.

Shinen looked up slowly into the distance, a hint of worry flashing deep in her eyes:

"Then... we must report to Lord 'Akafiel'!"

In the hallway outside the video conference room.

Razelb, one of the "Super Beast Soldiers Five," leaned against the cold wall, his thick arms crossed over his chest, his face full of impatience.

"Boss Jetton, Sangulus has been gone for way too long this time! Why haven't we heard from him yet?"

The leader of the group of five, Jekutor, stood on the other side of the meeting room door. He was much more composed than Razorbu, but the worry between his brows was still undeniable.

"I don't know either. I just received a message that his communication helmet was left at the location where he transformed, and it seems he hasn't returned yet. Right now, only Dr. Bakas's telepathic waves can try to contact him..."

He paused, his gaze sweeping over the closed conference room door: "Actually, I have a bad feeling... but the master is still in a meeting inside. I'll ask him after it's over."

"Hmph, that guy is the fastest among us, what could possibly go wrong?" Lazheerbu curled his lip, but a hint of unease lurked in his eyes.

They were all aware of Sangulus's abilities; even with his incredible speed, they couldn't catch up. Upton, that traitor, was no ordinary man.

Meanwhile, on the rugged mountain road outside the base, a Kronos standard armored personnel carrier was speeding toward the ruins base.

The wheels rolled over the gravel-strewn road, kicking up clouds of dust.

The interior walls of the carriage were cold and hard. Nearly ten fully armed beast-like soldiers sat silently on both sides, their postures upright and their uniforms impeccable, clearly an elite squad.

In the far corner of the carriage, a beast-like soldier lowered his head slightly, adopting a somewhat low-key posture.

But when the vehicle jolted, he inadvertently looked up to steady himself, and a burn scar that stretched from under his goggles to his chin was clearly visible on the left side of his face below his helmet.

"The taste of a super-beast soldier... is really good."

A slight upturn at the corners of his mouth revealed a cold and smug smile:

"Hamill Bakas, I will repay you tenfold for everything you have done to me... Just you wait."

……

The next morning.

The atmosphere in the conference room on the ground floor of the ruins site was extremely tense.

"Mr. Kanno, Director Odagiri, something terrible has happened!"

Ijuin rushed into the room, his face pale, his voice urgent and almost breathless:

"The command center just sent a message saying that Commander Richard Geo is coming in person to check on Dr. Shirai's research progress. He's already started from the top floor and is almost at the middle-level corridor!"

He paused, wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, and added:

"Actually, we were notified yesterday that he was coming, but we brushed it off by saying that Dr. Shirai was at a critical moment in his experiment and that no one was allowed to disturb him."

But this time he seemed determined. No matter what we said, he insisted on seeing the person in person, and he's already come straight here!

Hayami Toshiaki stared intently at the monitor screen, where Richard Geor's figure was striding rapidly forward. He gritted his teeth and said:

"It seems we can't stop them by force this time... At most, we can use the excuse of equipment debugging and ongoing experiments to delay for another ten minutes or so, but we can't hold out for long!"

"Dr. Shirai and the Rimba device are still lying in the remnant spaceship. If he comes in and the lab is empty, he'll definitely be exposed!"

Director Xiaotian Tong frowned deeply, his mind racing as he calculated:

"The pre-startup procedure for the Relic Spaceship takes at least half an hour... and once Geo descends to the lower research department, the energy reaction and huge commotion during the spaceship's startup will not be concealed for that long, given the Beast God's keen perception!"

"Looks like I need to give Geo something to do to distract him..."

Kanna Tsubasa surveyed the tense crowd around her, her calm and powerful voice rang out: "Wait a minute, everyone, don't panic!"

Once everyone's attention was focused on him, he continued:

"Yesterday, while repairing the bio-suit, I used the extra bio-cells and energy to create a bio-suit mimicry inside the spaceship, which is now coming in handy."

He gestured for Hayami Toshiaki to bring up the base's holographic map. A huge blue map unfolded in the room, clearly marking the structure of each floor of the base.

Kamino Tsubasa's fingertip was positioned slightly at the location of the middle level passage:

"I can manipulate the mimicry with my mind, making it appear in the middle level by climbing the elevator ventilation shaft, creating a small-scale disturbance—"

There's no need to linger in battle; simply draw Geo and his men into pursuit.

"This will not only buy us a crucial half hour for the spacecraft's pre-start, but also..."
