Primordial Era: I really don't want to be the Heavenly Emperor!

Chapter 140 Attaining the Primordial Dao and Becoming a Saint

Chapter 140 Attaining the Primordial Dao and Becoming a Saint

Continuing from last time!

At this moment, the two on the field used their skills simultaneously. Haotian used the tower for defense, the sword for offense, and the mirror for interference. In the battle, he could only advance and not retreat. With a slash, he drew forth boundless light.

Yun Zhongjun's attack methods are very direct, using the Heavenly Thunder Seal as a hub, and then unleashing a variety of major and minor divine powers simultaneously.

The two fought their way from the vast sea to the three islands and ten continents, and then fought their way back, finally venturing from reality into the river of time.

The battle lasted for ten days and ten nights, but Yun Zhongjun ultimately emerged victorious.

Yun Zhongjun's accumulated experience was too profound, while Haotian was just starting out. Although he possessed several spiritual treasures, he was ultimately inferior in skill.

After the great battle, Donghua distributed rewards to everyone. Although there were many people, he was not impatient. Instead, he carefully distributed rewards to each person and made a note of them.

Thus, the competitions in all aspects of the Purple Mansion came to an end, lasting for hundreds of years.

But in the end, it became an indelible memory in the history of Zifu, and no one can forget this grand event in Zifu.

……

"Fellow Daoist Fuxi, may I ask what brings you to the Purple Mansion this time?"

Inside the main hall of Jingyang Palace, Donghua and three others sat comfortably, sipping tea and discussing philosophy.

Fuxi gave a self-deprecating smile and said bitterly, "Ever since the last battle, the Wu Clan has been eliminating our influence in Buzhou Mountain. At that time, my little sister was seriously injured, so I simply reduced my influence and gave all those territories to the Wu Clan."

"Once my younger sister recovers, we will completely relocate our forces out of Buzhou. My sister and I don't want to stay in Phoenix Perch Mountain anymore; it's full of Wu Clan people, so we've come here to seek refuge!"

"I wonder if Fellow Daoist Donghua would be willing to take me in?"

Donghua laughed and said slowly, "It seems that the Witch Clan has become incredibly arrogant after the last battle."

He then sincerely said, "It is an honor for Donghua to have two fellow Daoists come to Zifu. Although the Three Islands and Ten Continents are not as blessed as Buzhou Mountain, they are still top-notch blessed lands. Fellow Daoists are welcome to choose their cave dwellings. This will be another place for you two to practice your Dao in the future."

"Then I won't stand on ceremony, I've set my sights on Yuanqiao Island!" Fuxi said casually, taking a sip of tea.

The five immortal mountains above the East Sea were actually one entity in ancient times, forming a vast world.

However, during the battle in which the Dragon Clan wiped out the ferocious beasts of the four seas, the world was shattered and divided into five sacred islands and thousands of smaller islands.

Yuanqiao Island, the main battlefield of the battle, is now devoid of spiritual energy and is also permeated with malevolent energy, making it unsuitable for habitation.

When Donghua was setting up the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation, he also specifically visited Yuanqiao Island, but ultimately gave up on it.

Because Yuanqiao Island is now just like the Western Continent, with damaged ley lines, thin spiritual energy, and scarce life forms, although it can be repaired, it is not worth the effort, so it is left to its current state.

Before Donghua could explain the situation at Yuanqiao Island, Nuwa spoke up:

"Fellow Daoist Donghua, it was actually my idea to establish a Daoist temple on Yuanqiao Island. Now that my Great Dao of Creation has encountered a bottleneck, I wish to use Yuanqiao Island to rebuild a world, from the world itself to all living beings, from nothing to something!"

Upon hearing this, Donghua was stunned. The creation of the world, and then from the world to living beings—was Nuwa about to create humans?

He quickly asked, "Are you trying to create a new race?"

"Um?"

Nuwa was initially puzzled, but then her eyes lit up, as if she had thought of something, and she murmured:

"Is creating a new race the ultimate goal of the Great Dao of Creation?"

"But I thought the highest realm of creation was to recreate earth, water, fire, and wind, and create a world."

"These two are very similar, yet worlds apart. So which path leads to the attainment of the Primordial Chaos?"

Upon hearing this, Donghua immediately realized that he had been overthinking things; Nuwa had never intended to create humans in the first place.

At first, it startled him; he thought Nuwa was about to attain sainthood.

But it makes sense, Nuwa's realm was still far from achieving the Dao of Hunyuan, so how could she have created humans and become a saint so quickly?

To become a saint, one must first attain the Dao of Hunyuan; this is essential, otherwise it is impossible to become a saint.

A sage is the one who holds the position of Heaven and Earth, acting on behalf of Heaven and wielding the mandate of Heaven, equivalent to half of the Heavenly Way.

The power of the Heavenly Dao is so vast that without the Primordial Chaos Realm, it is impossible to bear its power. At most, a Quasi-Saint can only mobilize a portion of the Heavenly Dao's power, so how could one go directly from Quasi-Saint to Saint?

Therefore, a sage must be a primordial being, but a primordial being is not necessarily a sage.

These two are at the same level, but their social statuses are very different.

There are three ways to become a saint, as explained clearly by Hongjun, the Dao Ancestor of Zixiao Palace.

One way is to become a saint through force, breaking the shackles of the Heavenly Dao, replacing the Heavenly Dao with one's own heart, and becoming the Heavenly Dao itself. This is the most difficult way. If one can succeed, one's strength should be equivalent to that of Hongjun, who has now merged with the Dao.

The second is to sever the three corpses and become a saint. By severing the three corpses, one can get closer to the Dao and become in harmony with the Dao. Once the three corpses are completely severed, one's attachment to good and evil will no longer affect one, and one will become like the Dao!

The third path is to achieve sainthood through merit. This involves performing great deeds for the primordial world, accumulating a vast amount of merit, using the power of merit to make up for any deficiencies, and finally mastering the power of the Heavenly Dao to attain sainthood.

There are too many ways to attain the Primordial Chaos Realm. All three thousand Great Daos can lead to the Primordial Chaos Realm. As long as your cultivation reaches that level and you can achieve the Primordial Chaos Realm at will, you can attain the Primordial Chaos Realm.

Because the Dao is primordial chaos, primordial chaos is the essence of the Dao, primordial chaos encompasses everything and has everything, primordial chaos represents order, primordial chaos is reason, is the Dao, is the great Dao of heaven and earth.

There are three thousand Great Daos in the primordial world, so there should also be three thousand Primordial Chaos Positions. But to truly be able to control one Great Dao and be the Great Dao itself is extremely difficult!

Since Donghua was born, he has been accompanied by the Pure Yang Dao. He has cultivated to the current late stage of Quasi-Saint, but he still cannot master the Pure Yang Dao on his own.

If he had cultivated the Pure Yang Dao and attained enlightenment that day, he himself would be the Pure Yang Dao. Even if the world were destroyed and returned to chaos, Donghua would still exist, and all that would be needed is to recreate the world.

Other practitioners of the Pure Yang Dao are like sons to him; with a single thought, he can strip them of everything.

Because cultivating the Pure Yang Great Dao in the future is actually cultivating Donghua himself.

This is the primordial chaos, true freedom and ease!

"Fellow Daoist Donghua, what do you mean by creating a race? All races arose in the primordial world, each unique and in accordance with the Dao. How could it be possible to create a new race?"

Nuwa pondered for a long time, but still couldn't understand what kind of race she could create.

Moreover, it is not a problem to ask her to create a being from nothing, but this being must have existed in the primordial world.

"I do not know, but the so-called creation is to turn decay into wonder. If one can only create the world and existing living beings, it cannot be considered the ultimate creation."

Donghua did not mention the creation of humans, and even if he had, it would have been useless. Nuwa at the moment simply could not do it; creating humans is not that simple.

Donghua had considered the matter of creating humans, but found that he simply couldn't do it.

He could indeed create life, but compared to the human race of later generations, he was simply incomparable.

Just like how the Styx River created the Asura race in later generations, although the Asuras were born with great strength, their upper limit was already locked. At most, they could only become Great Luo, and they could never become Quasi-Saints.

Humans are different. Although they are inherently weak, they have infinite potential. Theoretically, humans can attain the Primordial Chaos Realm.

Moreover, the time is not ripe yet. It is not the time for the human race to emerge. When the time is right, he will naturally point it out. This is due to good fortune, merit, and the favor of Nuwa.

Suddenly, Longbo, who was standing to the side, said, "I do know something about creating new races."

"In the beginning of time, a Taoist was born into the world and cultivated the Great Dao of Creation. He called himself the God of Creation. This person was very powerful and was no less than Qiankun Yinyang and others in the past. In the end, he died tragically on the Beast King. All his cultivation was reduced to nothing and he could not even reincarnate."

"Back then, he tried to create new races. The Minotaur and Horse-Face races in the prehistoric world are his creations. Unfortunately, their potential is very low. They can't even break through to the Great Luo realm, like rootless duckweed."

"I wonder if the Great Dao of the Creator God has increased after creating these two races."

Upon hearing this, Nuwa frowned. She had heard of the Ox-Head and Horse-Face tribes, but she didn't know they were actually created by humans. It seemed she would have to observe them further in the future.

"I will study the matter of creating races further. For now, let's focus on perfecting one world first. If that doesn't work, then we'll create races."

Nuwa stopped paying attention to this issue. What she needed to do now was to perfect her own Dao, starting with one world.

"Fellow Daoist Donghua, I've noticed that the Purple Mansion's army has been frequently mobilized recently, constantly practicing large-scale formations. Moreover, many Grand Luo Quasi-Saints have been dispatched to inscribe formation patterns and patrol the Purple Mansion. Has something happened?"

Fuxi has been observing the operation of the Purple Palace for the past few days, and he can see it very clearly.

Donghua smiled and said, "I would like to have some peace and quiet and cultivate properly in the Purple Mansion, but some people can't stand to see me doing well."

"These past few days I have been feeling uneasy. Using the Eight Trigrams of the Primordial Heaven, I have discovered that the disaster is likely to occur in the Purple Palace. I think something big is bound to happen soon, probably your former employer."

"What are your thoughts, fellow Daoists?"

Donghua looked at Nuwa, but Nuwa seemed not to hear him, drinking her tea and chatting with west Wangmu about what kind of clothes they should wear.

Helplessly, he looked at Fuxi again.

After observing the Purple Palace for some time, Fuxi found that its operation was in line with his ideals.

Here, all races coexist peacefully, without racial conflicts. Even naturally hostile groups can live in harmony, and all struggles are within reasonable limits.

"Since the last battle, my younger sister and I have become free men, no longer connected with the Heavenly Court. I am only a primordial saint, Fuxi, the Azure Emperor of the demon race."

Upon hearing this, Donghua laughed heartily. Fuxi's path had ultimately deviated from its original trajectory; whether this was for the better or for the worse was unknown.

But for Donghua, it's definitely a good thing!

"Our Purple Palace is still lacking an emperor to rule over all living beings. I wonder if Fellow Daoist Fuxi would be willing to give it a try?"

Fuxi smiled, shook his head, and refused, saying, "The time is not yet ripe; I cannot take on this role."

Donghua was not disappointed upon hearing this; on the contrary, he was even happier.

Although Fuxi refused, his reason for refusing was that the time was not yet ripe, which also meant that the other party recognized the Purple Mansion, which was quite intriguing.

"As long as you swing the hoe well, there's no corner you can't dig down. Since ancient times, deep affection can't be retained, only tricks can win people's hearts."

"Fuxi, you'd better come into my bowl obediently!"
