National Survival: I Supported the Dragon Nation by Hunting Dinosaurs

"This wave is in the bag."

However, the cold, mechanical voice ruthlessly shattered his fantasy.

[Fifth Place: Huang Xiaoying from China, Contributor: Velociraptor!]

Roland's smile froze.

"What's going on?" Jason asked, his brow furrowed. "...Why isn't my 15-carat diamond on the list?"

Inside the live stream in the United States, viewers were still frantically searching for the missing pieces.

"Don't panic! God bless the US! This is only fifth place. The smaller diamond might have been pushed down, but Captain Roland's is a 30-carat gem! He's definitely number one!"

However, reality is often more fantastical than fiction.

[Fourth Place: Ivan Novsky, from the Xiong Kingdom, Contributor: Bulboceratops.]

[Third Place: Xiong Guo contestant, Sorokin, contribution: Strange Dragon.]

[Second Place: Leng Feng, from China; Contribution: Ankylosaurus.]

As the list scrolled by, Roland's face went from rosy to pale, and finally turned liver-colored.

Not a single name was mentioned in the Alliance of Seventeen!

"This is impossible!" Roland jumped to his feet. "This is a diamond! The hardest and most expensive gemstone in the world! Is the system malfunctioning?"

Just as he was becoming hysterical, the name at the top of the list suddenly appeared.

[First Place: Zhang Li, from China, Contribution: Spinosaurus (adult, amphibious predator)!]

Without comparison, there is no harm.

The outcome of the match seems both absurd and real at this moment.

Not even one of the ten thousand people who contributed diamonds made it into the top ten!

Inside the Dragon Kingdom's live stream room, Professor Li, maintaining a serious attitude, watched as the screen was filled with barrages of comments from viewers from the United States, breaking through his defenses.

"In a post-apocalyptic world of depleted resources, in a prehistoric jungle fraught with danger, the definition of value has long been rewritten."

"A diamond? From a physical and chemical perspective, it is just a bunch of closely packed carbon atoms."

In civilized society, it is a luxury item created by capital speculation.

"For the system, its value is not even as great as a piece of sulfur-containing coal, at least coal can be used to start a fire for heating."

"Besides, Earth isn't lacking in carbon these days!"

These words were a slap in the face to all Western viewers.

The Chinese viewers' comments section instantly switched to taunting mode:

"More than a hundred years ago, our great Henan province was already able to mass-produce this stuff industrially. A handful cost only a few dozen yuan. It's just that the Americans are stupid and have too much money!"

[Image caption: Roland (looking silly): I have diamonds!]

At that moment, Roland felt like a joke.

......

Just as audiences around the world were still debating the rankings, that grand and cold voice rang out once again.

[Seven-day survival period has ended.]

[The top three countries in the overall rankings for the first week are now announced!]

Third place: the United States (England).

Second place: Bear Kingdom.

[First Place: Dragon Kingdom!]

[Reason: The team has a survival rate of over 90%, basic infrastructure is in place, resources are plentiful, and they have demonstrated exceptional human resilience!]

As the rankings were announced, an invisible ripple swept across Earth in an instant.

[Based on rankings, rewards for "Ecological Resource Recovery" will now be distributed!]

[The United States: Restores 5% of its contaminated water sources and randomly purifies the air in two medium-sized cities.]

[Bear Country: Restoring 10% of the vegetation on the Siberian tundra and purifying 15% of the polluted water sources across the country.]

[Dragon Kingdom: "Rain of Life" falls across the entire territory, purifying 30% of polluted water sources, restoring 20% of arable land activity, and randomly reviving the ecosystems of three main rivers!]

The next second, a miracle occurred.

Dragon Kingdom, in the northwestern desert.

The earth, which was originally cracked like a tortoise shell, was suddenly shrouded in dark clouds.

The ancient riverbed of the Tarim River, which had been dry for half a century, suddenly resounded with a thunderous roar!

"It's raining...it's raining!!"

An elderly desert control worker, standing guard on the edge of the desert, trembled as he stretched out his hands to feel the cold raindrops.

This is real rainwater, without any sour or sulfurous smell; it's life-giving rain carrying the fragrance of earth!

In the water towns of Jiangnan, rivers that had long been black and smelly ditches are now receding at a visible rate, clear water is flowing again, and even small, unidentified fish are leaping in the water.

These scenes, broadcast live via satellite, shocked the world.

Deep in the jungle, Zhang Li looked at the night sky.

"Just as I thought."

He had already guessed it.

The will of Earth restarted civilization not simply to watch humanity slaughter each other, but to select...

Resources are finite; they cannot save everyone.

Therefore, it selects the strongest groups in this cruel way and prioritizes the allocation of resources for recovery.

The strong will always be strong, and the weak... are destined to be eliminated.

"This is a high-stakes gamble on the nation's destiny, and we have already secured the first ticket to the game," Zhang Li muttered to himself.

Just then, the system released the last and most crucial rule.

[Seven days of survival completed. "Airdrop Support" feature now available!]

The rules are as follows:

Each country may drop supplies to its athletes once before 5:00 AM tomorrow (Blue Star time).

[Note: Your individual ranking over the seven-day sacrifice period will directly determine the quality and maximum capacity of airdrop supplies you can receive!]

The higher the ranking, the larger the airdrop crate and the higher the quality of supplies it can carry! (Firearms are not allowed!)

Players ranked below 10,000th overall will be disqualified from receiving this airdrop!

Those ranked after ten thousandth... are not eligible?

This means that nearly half of the players worldwide will not receive any supplies in this round!

The United States of America.

The decision-maker, sporting a head of messy blond hair, sat in the Oval Office, clutching a Big Mac and with ketchup smeared on his lips.

"Fuck! That idiot Roland!"

"If he weren't looking for diamonds, how could we be ranked so low? Our airdrop share has been reduced!"

A staff member carefully handed him a document.

"Mr. Decision Maker, although our ranking isn't as high as China's, our core player base is still there. The question now is, what should we airdrop to the players?"

A shrewd glint flashed in his eyes as he picked up the iced cola on the table and took a big gulp.

"No one understands the Chinese people better than me."

He held up one finger, waved it in the air, and flashed his signature smile.

"The Chinese have a fatal weakness—they are too emotional and too attached to 'comradeship in arms'."

"That guy named Wang Qiang is dying, his liver is ruptured, right?"

"Given the way the Chinese are, they'll definitely waste this precious airdrop opportunity, sending a bunch of useless scalpels, blood plasma, and antibiotics to save that cripple."

"Ha! This is our chance!"

"Pass on my order! All players in the United States who have obtained airdrop qualifications, airdrop me highly lethal weapons!"

"In this dog-eat-dog world, kindness... is the greatest folly!"

"We, the United States, never talk about camaraderie!"

……

Dragon Kingdom, Supreme Special Operations Command.

The atmosphere in front of the huge holographic sand table was both solemn and enthusiastic.

"Reporting to the decision-maker! The data analysis is in!" An advisor saluted excitedly.

"Thanks to the high rankings of players like Zhang Li, the quality of our Dragon Kingdom players who can be airdropped is far superior to that of other countries!"

"Especially Zhang Li, his airdrop authorization even allows him to transport drones!"

Another staff officer's eyes sharpened: "Decision maker, the US will definitely bet that we'll use all our resources to rescue people, thereby suppressing us in terms of weaponry."

The elderly man sitting in the main seat looked at Wang Qiang's resolute face on the screen.

"Saving lives is the bottom line of our Dragon Kingdom and the foundation of our nation."

The old man's voice was not loud, but it was firm and resounding.

"Order!"

Everyone stood up instantly.

"First, assemble the nation's top medical experts and procure all the supplies Wang Qiang needs for his surgery within one hour, including a portable sterile operating room! Pack everything into Zhang Li's airdrop (only Zhang Li can receive so much at once)!"

"Secondly, the airdrop crates belonging to Wang Qiang, Leng Feng, Huang Xiaoying, and Li Yue..."
