Long Fei gave the order, and the Snow Wolf Team and the Eagle Team immediately split into two squads.

Instead of taking the main road at the village entrance, they climbed over the village's wooden wall and silently slipped into the woods to the east.

The movement was incredibly fast; the villagers didn't even have time to see clearly before they were gone.

The Tigers spread out around the village, protecting Lin Mo and several support team members as they quickly moved back the way they came.

The whole process was very quiet; the only sounds were the faint clatter of equipment and the muffled thud of boots on the muddy ground.

Three menacing-looking mechanical dogs suddenly sprang out of the bushes, the gun barrels on their backs beginning to spin, emitting a soft motor-like sound.

Three streaks of fire tore through the darkness of the forest, and a hail of bullets rained down on the patrolling goblin squad in the distance.

Bullets struck tree trunks, sending wood chips flying; they hit rocks, scattering sparks.

Before the goblin at the front could react, several bursts of blood erupted from its chest. It didn't even have time to let out a scream before it fell straight back.

"Chirp chirp chirp!"

This attack instantly threw the goblins into chaos.

They let out piercing screams, some frantically seeking cover, while others brandished bone clubs and rusty knives, wildly waving and howling in the direction of the gunfire.

A few goblin archers drew their simple wooden bows, and a sparse barrage of arrows shot at the mechanical dog, but they couldn't even touch its metal shell.

"roar--!"

At their leader's roar, the goblins abandoned their search for cover. Their bloodshot eyes were fixed on the three fire-spitting steel monsters. Wielding their weapons, they charged forward, howling.

They'll tear the troublemakers to shreds.

"They've taken the bait!" the Eagles' pilot whispered.

He controlled his three mechanical dogs, retreating and fighting at the same time, always keeping a distance from the goblin army, leading them further and further away from the direction of Fernwall Village.

"Quick! 'Hound No. 3' is running out of power! Snow Wolf, be ready to provide backup!"

"Snow Wolf received!"

The Snow Wolf team members had already laid an ambush on the mechanical dog's retreat route.

Seeing that the goblin army was being attracted, a Snow Wolf team member suddenly rushed out from behind cover, picked up the mechanical dog that had stopped firing and was almost out of power, and turned to run in the designated direction.

The other two mechanical dogs also stopped firing and were retrieved by their respective owners.

Inside the Tigers' territory, Long Fei heard Captain Snow Wolf's voice through his earpiece.

His tightly clenched lips finally relaxed slightly.

"Tiger received."

He turned to his team and ordered, "Regroup, stay alert, and prepare to welcome them back."

Lin Mo and the warriors of the Fierce Tiger Team watched the direction in which the Snow Wolf and the Azure Eagle Team had left.

Time passed second by second.

The birdsong in the woods seemed to have disappeared, leaving only the rustling of leaves in the wind and the sound of everyone breathing.
